Food was delicious. I had a hard time finding the place though. Went there for birthday dinner with family. There was about six of us. Only problem was the service. The waitress seemed a bit impatient and never smiled once while she took our order or anytime during our meal. we had to constantly call her over to get things we needed. And she still forgot things we asked for. I know its a hard job but it took away from our experience there. Not sure if we’ll return maybe for take out if they have it.

Not as good as the Taunton location for the ambiance, but still delivers the same great food and prices that you expect. Tons of parking, but the awkwardness of being part of the hotel was strange to me, but that was out the window the minute my food hit the table.

I’m sorry but this is not Mexican food. I honestly don’t know how everyone gave such rave reviews but it’s just a no. As someone being from NYC and who works in the food industry, I’ve had some really good and authentic Mexican food and this was not it. The tamale and chimichanga I had tasted very bland and it seemed to be from a microwave. The guacamole tasted as if it came from a bag. The only thing that saved the meal was the margarita but that’s about it. I’m sorry but I would not return. As soon as I saw that it was inside of a hotel I knew I should’ve gotten back in the car and chose another spot. Next time I’ll trust my instinct.

I can’t believe I went to a restaurant that’s part of a hotel and loved it. But I’ll definitely be back. The sangria has brandy which gives it great flavor and makes it a little less sweet without a strong brandy taste. Also the Pacifico chimichanga is delicious with a lot of crabmeat — genuine crabmeat! The tableside guacamole is some of the best I’ve tasted. Warning: the spicy is definitely spicy.

I guess I have high expectations when it comes to mexican food and this place just didn’t do it for me. The restaraunt itself was fine. The service was decent but the food was just not good. I should have left after trying the watery, taseless salsa. No bueno. We first started off with the Cadillac margaritas. You could only taste the sour mix. For the app we ordered the camarones al diablo which is shrimp and mushrooms in a spicy, buttery type of sauce. The app was the best part of my meal. For my entrée, I decided to keep it simple and I ordered the tacos al carbon. The meat in the tacos was very dry and not seasoned enough. The shells were rubbery and tasted like they were reheated. My husband ordered fajitas and he seemed to enjoy his dish and the two stars are from him. I on the other hand will stick to taco trucks for my taco fix.

Anytime I want authentic, quality Mexican food, this is where I go! This time I tried something new, I had the Carnitas Tacos, they were phenomenal(I am never unhappy) The pork was braised, a bit salty but super soft and tasty. They served them on soft tortillas with a side of Rice and Refried Beans. I loved that this dish didn’t have cheese, but it was filling and tasty just the way they were served. Again I was happy as always, Can’t wait to go back, this might be my new favorite dish!

This is a toss up between 4 and 5 stars, but I had to settle. I used to come to this location often, but do to my recent move I haven’t been in a few months. I went for lunch, and everything came out super quick! I had a strawberry margarita to get my daily fruit intake(it count’s, trust me), and I had the Oceano Burrito. The staff here are super friendly and I love going on the weekends for the mariachi band(father and daughter)! The location is a little odd, but once you get used to using the hotel bathroom instead of the restaurant it’s pretty great!

New Year’s Eve is always a fun night to go out but it’s always iffy at restaurants. Limited menus, huge waits, crummy service. I had in my mind that Mexican was the way to go. I suggested a place and my friend said no lets go to el mariachi instead. I’m glad we did. For us Rhode Islanders it’s located in what used to be the Johnson and Wales restaurant in seekonk. It’s a really cute place. Cozy with couches to wait on. The wait was 45 minutes but we expected that. I bet on a regular day it’s no wait. Regardless we bellied up the bar where we ordered a pitcher of margaritas. You can choose what kind of tequila you like and we chose to upgrade to the 1800. It was about $ 35.00 for the pitcher but three of us split it and got two glasses each out of it. And they were the huge glasses that take two hands to Hold. We waited in the comfy couch for a table but the bar opened up so we sat there. Free chips and salsa. The salsa was the star there. It was fresh and definetly made in house. Spicy and chunky. Yummmm. All three of us ordered and the platters were huge. My two friends ate half of theirs and took it home for another day. Me, I have a big appetite so I ate it all. I had a chimichanga with shredded beef. It was nicely seasoned and generously topped with sour cream and guacamole. It came with rice and beans and both were very tasty. We had a good experience despite the wait for seats and the wait for the food but I’m certain it’s just because it was a holiday. I like forward to going again and would recommend it for sure.

Great, authentic food! Thank you to my sister and brother in-laws who brought me to this place– it’s really hard to find authentic Mexican food in the Boston area. I often find food with more of a DR or PR influence, and that is NOT the same. I ordered the chicken mole, and really enjoyed it. Oh, and the service was great, too!

((Disclaimer: Lived most my life in San Diego, CA so I hold authentic Mexican food to a higher standard the your typical New Englander)) I am happy to say that Mariachi totally fits right in with what I would call good, home cooked, authentic Mexican. It’s flavorful, Spicy, and has the correct textures and garnishes. I had the carne asada and it was cooked just right. And you HAVE to try the homemade flan — it’s super creamy and delicious.

I love this place!!! the house margaritas with silver Patron never disappoints! Unlimited bowl of warm chips & salsa roja was great! I was worried this location may not live up to the Tauton location quality and flavor but I was Happy to taste that they are a true replica of their other location! The portions are huge and food comes out lava hot!!! The staff is always available and willing to assist even if they are not our«assigned» server! Will definitely be back!!!

We loved this place. It’s a little weird that it’s in a hotel, but once you get past that, it’s all good. We enjoyed delicious margaritas(huge and tasty with the real juices instead of sour mix) and I had red sangria. Both drinks were delicious and served with fresh salsa and homemade chips. Delicious and relaxing, the service was attentive but never pushy, and they were fine letting us drink and nosh for a while before we ordered dinner. My companion had a two-way combo: chicken enchilada and beef burrito. They were awesome, both well seasoned and perfectly cooked. Their sauces are authentic, spicy and really well made. I had the chicken fajitas, served with their homemade guacamole, and all the other fixings. Delicious and plenty for my lunch today. Both entrees were served with rice and beans and I’m telling you, so tasty. We also really enjoyed the strolling mariachi band — it was a father and daughter, and sometimes when people sing at your table it can be awkward — this wasn’t, was really lovely and they are very talented. All in all, it was an A+ night. Only one thing they could have done is dimmed the lights a bit, but the hostess said they’re working on it. We will definitely go back. It’s really fun.

Seekonk needed a solid Mexican restaurant, and El Mariachi delivers. You have to walk through an old school hotel lobby to get there, and the place is not entirely Mexican themed as it used to be a terrible restaurant named Audrey’s(they have nice Mexican themed decorations on the wall though and authentic music), but the food makes up for that. They have a great margarita menu, an expansive menu that made it difficult to select something(because so much of it sounded great), and the tableside guac is worth the price of admission. Both of our meals were good and they give you huge portions; what kept it from five stars(aside from the quasi-Mexican atmosphere) is that the steak used in my fajitas was a little tough(the pieces were flat which I’ve never seen with fajitas before), so I would try something else the next time. Make sure not to fill up on the chips they serve immediately after you sit down; they’re addictive!

I have always been a big fan of El Mariachi’s in Taunton, and was very excited to hear they were opening a location in Seekonk, which is a little closer to me. We went on a Saturday night at around 7, so I was expecting a wait, but there wasn’t one. It’s not that it wasn’t busy, it was, but the restaurant was much bigger than expected, so there is plenty of space to seat a good amount of people at once. I wasn’t a fan of the location… We walked in through a door marked«El Mariachi’s» and still has to walk down a hallway, around a corner, and through the lobby of the Ramada. Also there are no bathrooms in the actual restaurant, you need to leave and go through the lobby(and down the hall) for those. But as far as food and service goes, I have minimal complaints. The servers were very attentive, and I never had an empty drink, basket of chips, or plate of food in front of me. Our waitress was very friendly and was happy to joke around with us. I try not to eat gluten, and asked if they had corn tortillas for burritos, which they did not. So I had the Tacos al Carbon which are normally made with corn tortillas. They were delicious and my only complaint is that I asked for extra guacamole and they only gave me the regular portion. To drink I had a Vallarta margarita, which was reasonably priced for it’s size, and delicious. My fiancé had the house margarita, which he enjoyed. Over all it was a really good experience and I would recommend El Mariachi’s in Seekonk to fans of the Taunton location, and to people who have never tried it before!

Friends of mine introduced us to the Taunton El Mariachi, and I have to say that I’m a fan. Hearing that they might open a location a bit closer by, I have been watching and waiting … Opened a couple of weeks ago as I understand it. Located inside the Ramada Inn on Route 44, they have recreated the friendly and inviting feel of the Taunton location in a large dining room behind the hotel lobby. The table-side guacamole, the fresh faced and happy staff, the great Mexican-American recipes, and solid margaritas. Its all here.

I’ve been eagerly waiting for this location to open since the«opening soon» signs went up a few months ago. I’m a big fan of the Taunton location. They quietly opened in the past few weeks. The restaurant is located inside the Ramada Inn, where the old Audrey’s restaurant used to be. You have to walk through the lobby of the hotel to get to the restaurant. The tables and chairs are new as is the Mexican décor on the walls, but other than that much of the lighting and dark wood has remained from Audrey’s. Since they have just opened they are still working out a few of the service kinks. Some of the employees from their other locations are here training new employees. At times our service was over-attentive and at others maybe just a little flustered as a new employee was doing something on their own. They were all polite and friendly to a fault and this will get worked out. The food and drinks were great. I had a jalapeño margarita and a cucumber margarita and enjoyed both. My husband was happy with his draft beer. We started with the table-side guacamole and it was excellent. We were there during lunch and took advantage of the lunch specials, with a fajita burrito for me and steak charro for my husband. Thumbs up all around. If you are looking for authentic Mexican, go to El Rancho Grande or one of the other mom and pop places in Providence. You aren’t going to find it here. If you have a craving for Americanized MExican though, I highly recommend giving El MAriachio a try. They put their lcoal competitors to shame.
