I used to like this place but this time was disappointing. The front was empty and we had to wait for someone to come to the front to take our order. The woman seemed really confused by our order and made us point out what we wanted on the paper menu. Despite ordering two large burritos we received one large and one small. We corrected them and they took back the order and made us wait while the food sat there for another 10 minutes getting soggy. Instead of correcting the order they gave us another small burrito. By the time I got the food home to eat it and opened the burritos up they didn’t even have all the ingredients that were supposed to be in them(just rice and shrimp) and the mozzarella sticks we ordered were empty inside, just the fried breading… The final straw was that the large burrito that was correct had a long blonde hair in it, despite neither of the people working there having blonde hair. Really gross and not worth the long wait and bad service.

Disgusting!!! I really wasted my money, Overpriced and horrible food, I ordered a chicken quesadilla and a steak fajita. Both were horrible. Mexican Grill 2000 is the best hands down.

A great Mexican– South Asian fusion menu, with fair prices, don’t be disappointed by the ambiance of the place, the food is worth it.

Prices jumped way too high when nothing about the food is changed. Can’t get a quesadilla for less than ten dollars. Steak burrito which I regularly get jumped from 8 dollars to 10 dollars. I have to honestly say the food is not bad at all. The service is a little slow and they also never have the vent on when cooking so all your clothes will smell like food if you sit to eat.

Hopefully closing soon! Awful food … slow service… Place was Empty… Awkward service … Stale old food… Ordered 3 different tacos all cold. Beef and chicken was like a paste like it was reheated for 3 weeks. Fried chicken was so old the Chicken was gray It Did look clean, because there was no one was there. Hopefully it stays that way! Don’t waste your $$ on this place There are three other places in town that are better.

This place is a dive, but the soft tacos are outstanding, especially with the chipotle mayo sauce. My son begs to go here, weekly. Have not tried anything else here, though.

Today I ordered the chicken tikka masala burrito no cheese, add jalapeños and it was delicious! I’ve been here before, and it’s always been good, and today was no exception. I also appreciate the fact that the burrito stays intact and doesn’t become a sloppy mess I will be back

WATCHOUTFORFOODPOISONING!!! This place is not hygienic at all. The last time I threw up this much was 10 years ago. My doctor said that the chicken in the burrito I ate definitely had salmonella and other bacteria. Their ambiance is of a fast food place, but they don’t really care about service. You would walk in and see no one behind the counter for 5 minutes. I wonder… what they do in the back? This place is by far the most disgusting place I’ve ever been to. So be careful! And don’t expect the food to be fully cooked.

Don’t eat here. I used to eat here a lot and loved the food, but they are EXTREMELY unhygienic. I got the tandoori wings and there was HAIR wrapped around the wings. This also happened to a friend of mine about 2 months after it happened to me. I don’t think they change their oil very often.

A great«hole in the wall» experience! This tiny restaurant is not much to look at, but everything I have tried is great. The location is difficult to find with its small sign, but it is worth the effort. The menu is huge. It contains variety from burritos, to burgers, and even includes Greek dishes. I have tried and would recommend the spicy«volcano burrito» and the excellent lamb gyro. The staff is friendly and willing to help you through the extensive menu. The only reservations some might have are with the sitting area. The atmosphere is old and uncomfortable. I usually order to go, but will drive by several options on my way.

Was taken back by this place when we pulled up to this place. But the food here was great we ordered the tacos, quesadilla, lamb gyro and they were delicious.

If you want the best tacos in Selden/Centereach, come here. Taco Bell ain’t got shit on this place. Always fresh food, and excellent fries as well. The one negative thing I will say is that they should clean the tables better. That aside, the food is great.

****All About the Chicken Tikki Masala Burrito**** Food here is really good with a large and interesting menu; what really shines are the«fusion» dishes of Desi and Mexican cuisines. The chicken tikki masala burrito isn’t like the tomato based sauce but is still savory and delicious. I believe the chicken tikki burrito is similar but without the sauce. They also make these dishes over rice which are also pretty good, but getting them in a burrito just feels more novel and actually works very well! Portions are fair but not huge. Usually I need a little more than a burrito to fill me up at dinnertime. Conveniently though, TOTE is right next door. Most of the stuff at TE and TOTE warms up very well so its convenient to get a large takeout order from the two if you don’t feel like cooking for the week! The dining area isn’t too fancy, and as others have pointed out, tables often aren’t cleaned as often as they should be. I usually get take-out though so that point is moot. FINALVERDICT: Delicious fusion makes for a great takeout option on 25; check out the chicken tikka masala burritos!

Love the food but terrible service!!! I have been going there for the past two year and this time i wanted to try something new. I didn’t like it and i asked them if they could make it differently without a certain sauce. The owner said i picked it and that it was my fault. I spend 30 – 40 dollars there every 2 – 3 weeks and i wont be going back there again!

One star for the attitude and horrific customer service, courtesy of the woman who works there. Shame because I enjoy the food, and my family used to go there twice a week. No more. For the second time in a row, I arrived to pick up an order and it was incorrect. Upon arrival, I waited 2 minutes for someone to arrive at the counter to help me. No apology for the wait — instead, she exclaims, «You are very late!» Wow. I thought to myself, «I «believe I can pick up my order whenever I’d like, as long as you’re not about to close.» After paying, I realize and politely point out that my order is incorrect. She gives me the look of death, then proceeds to DIGTHROUGHTHETRASH to find the order slip she wrote my order on! She begins to argue with me and upon seeing that the error is in fact hers, she continues to argue anyway. She then says, «I’ll get it right next time.» WHAT??? I responded, «No. You won’t. Because there won’t be a next time. I won’t be back. This is not how you handle customer service.» As someone who has worked in the service industry… rule #1 The customer is always right. Like I said, I enjoyed the food but I would NEVER again support someone so ignorant and nasty.

We eat here frequently for lunch whenever in the Centereach/Selden area. It’s a taco place with an Indian spin on it. Ever wondered what it’s like to eat a burrito with chicken and tikka sauce inside? Look no further! So far, ever burrito we’ve had there is delicious. We highly recommend the Chicken Tikka, Mediterranean, and Chipotle Chicken ones but it’s all good. Their burritos are huge, but not disgusting. Most of them stay intact until the last bite or so, and one is enough to satisfy almost any appetite. The place itself is nothing special but it doesn’t need to be. This place is all about the yummy burritos.

Yum! Had the chicken tikka masala burrito and while it doesn’t taste like chicken tikka masala you would get at an Indian restaurant, it was good! Left my mouth with a nice and warm tingly sensation due to the spice(not overpowering). The burrito comes with rice, mozzarella cheese, onions and peppers and is $ 7.50. It’s large and filling. My burrito was made to order as were all the other orders from a pretty steady stream of people during lunch. This is definitely a hole in the wall type of place but all booths and table tops were clean. My order came on a small cafeteria style tray with napkins and a plastic fork and knife. There’s a large menu, so lots to pick from, including breakfast and regular burritos, tacos and other Mexican/Indian fusion type items.

I went here based on the reviews and I have no idea now it has such good reviews. First off our food was wrong. The Philly cheesesteak was supposed to just be cheese and meat(one person doesn’t eat Mexican so this was his choice) and it had everything listed on the menu. Then we had paid extra for guacamole on the side for one burrito and didn’t receive it; we had to ask. That burrito wasn’t even made like it listed on the menu. The other burrito was supposed to have sour cream that we paid extra for too(once again had to ask). The food itself was nothing special, more gross than anything. I ate probably two bites and left there hungry. Simply put do not go there and trust the other reviews.

Indian-style Mexican food!!! Holy crap. The burritos are phenomenal. I am literally drooling as I write this sentence. THINKABOUTIT: chicken tikka masala burrito?! So, I didn’t think there was good hole-in-the-wall Mexican food out here on Long Island, which really made me miss my college years in San Diego where delicious carne asada burrito joints ran rampant. But oh boy! Taco Express Plus — what an unexpected wonder! I have eaten here only once so far, and I only ordered off the menu above the cash register, which is the special Indian-style Mexican food. So perhaps my experience is biased. But I also ordered a traditional chicken burrito for my friend and apparently it’s also really good. I don’t even care if it’s authentic or Indian fusion or whatever. The burrito was just so freaking delicious. And I kind of liked that it’s in dingy store with a gross bathroom. I believe that great food doesn’t need a glamorous storefront. This place is really a hole-in-the-wall. Oh man, I am DEFINITELY coming back. Thank you, Taco Express Plus, for tantalizing my tastebuds.(Still drooling.)
