THEENDISHERE! Everything in the store 60% off, other select items up to 80% off. Amazingly, still a good selection of new books and a lot of historical, literature, romance and technical books. What they don’t have left are any DVDs, toys, sci-fi, stationary, magazines. SO if you don’t have an Amazon account or an e-reader, get on down here and load up, you crazy apacolypse surviving luddite you!

I know this review is late but… This store had to be the best one I have ever been to. Kind staff, easy to locate books and always very clean. Ever since me and my family moved into this area we have gone there every couple of weeks. I was a speed reader so I would always buy a couple of books. The staff would joke saying see me soon even when I bought a large book. One time I found a hole I a very expensive book. I had lost the receipt as well, I brought it to the counter. The lady on staff knew me well and picked up her walkie talky and said, «We have a V.I.P. Customer up front with a damaged item.» LOL. So the manager came, smiled and switched it out. I am truly going to miss you Borders. I wish I could rate higher than five stars. It was sad to see it crowded just for the sales. I was also a Plus member. Very worth it.

I’ve been to this bookstore a few times already and maybe it’s the time of day I go but it’s usually quiet and clean and seems very organized. It’s easy for me to browse in here and the staff is always very attentive and helpful. I hardly ever leave work for lunch but when I do, I like to drop in here and look around and stop by the café and pick something from their great selection of pastries and drinks. The bathrooms are always clean and I never have to wait in line long when I’m checking out. This location also always has great sales.

I previously learned from an Austin store that Borders will not do store-to-store transfers of titles. Now I found that, even if you reserve a title online, you’d better pick it up within 24 hours because that’s how long they’ll hold it for you. I reserved a CD at this store online from home before I went to work. I couldn’t check e-mail until that evening to verify that the item was indeed in-stock, and that’s when I found out the Borders reservation period only lasts 24 hours. Since I don’t live or work in the area, and was making a special trip for the immediacy of acquisition, their reservation system was essentially worthless to me. I wound up ordering the title from my local record store, Sundance Records in San Marcos. Their special order service comes standard with next day turnaround. Now that would be customer service, wouldn’t it, Borders?
