Oh how I loved this gift shop! It was early May, the lavender was yet to bloom. The weather on the Olympic Peninsula that day was spectacular and while I stopped at another farm that had the rows of lavender plants that one desires, this place had the old charm that I desired. It was like my grandmother’s garden was laid out before me. The farmhouse that houses the gift shop is easily 100 years old, and the old, unfinished floor board’s creak and moan with each step. Every single inch of the ceiling is covered with bundles of lavender. Of course they have the soaps, the lotions, the teas and everything else you what to find but the charm is in the building and surrounding garden. You just want to park yourself under a tree with a cup of lavender tea and enjoy the afternoon. It appears they hold events here and as the grounds and view are lovely I think it would be perfect for a wedding. As I left a red tailed hawk took flight just feet in front of me… as if I wasn’t already completely entranced!
