I visited this Walmart today around 330pm. I noticed the cashier at the next register(register #17) use the ink pen/highlighter pen to verify if the 20 bill used was real. Next purchase she used the pen. Third purchase used the pen again… I was thinking that is a great business practice. 4th customer she didn’t use the pen. Difference??? The first three were Hispanic. …4th customer was white. Please use the same policy and procedure for all customers. I told mgmt and they were not moved. not trying to go back

This Walmart is great when you are renting a house or cabin nearby as you will find everything you will need for your stay in the mountains. This place has it all. We stopped once and we stocked our refrigerator and pantry all at once for the next week. The prices are good and with their app, you scan your receipt and they search all competitor ads and refund you the difference if they find a cheaper item somewhere else. Pretty cool.

Typical Walmart. They did have a better inventory and selection of stuff then I’m use to. Seemed like they had more lines open then most.

This is probably the busiest WalMart that I have ever been to. When you enter there are people trying to sell you some sort of ‘deal’ in order to get free or discounted tickets to local attractions. Otherwise, the store is great! They have a really large baby section, and their customer service desk is quick. It is intimidating just trying to find a parking spot, but once you get in, its not as bad as you would think(crowd wise).

I’m not a frequent shopper at Walmart but when we found ourselves vacationing in the area recently, our only option(other than spending loads of money eating out) was shopping here for groceries. On the bright side, they are open 24⁄7. No matter what time of day we came here, it was pretty busy so be prepared to navigate through some shopping carts in some tight aisles. It seemed like they were always stocking shelves and it was evident that they run out of things rather quickly since this seems to be the only grocery store along the main drag in Gatlinburg/Sevierville/Pigeon Forge. Luckily, we found most of the items we needed. You may not find all of your brand name organic, gluten free, farm raised items but there will be something comparable. I did have to return a few things that I realized I didn’t need and the process in customer service was fairly quick. The employees that I came into contact with were always pleasant . Some tidbits: Also, as soon as you enter the store, someone will greet you asking if you need tickets to any local tourist attractions. There is also a wall of informational brochures on pretty all things to do in the area. The deli counter is not open 24⁄7. Best to get there during the day. Towards the entrance, you can get personalized airbrushed tshirts made. When in Gatlinburg, do what the locals do! Use the self check out lanes!

This Wal Mart is usually a nightmare being on the main road in tourist town, generally rude people, crowded, poor selection, etc etc. However, two nights in a row I have come in after midnight and had the most pleasant cashier I have ever seen at a Wal Mart… I know crazy right. Her name is Jennie Sue(might not be spelled right) but if you go through her line she will greet you and thank you for your business(AMAZED!!!) and chat if she has time. Please tell someone if she treats you as well as she has me, she should be in charge of hospitality for this store if not for the region…

Totally embarrassing even by Walmart standards. Produce section looks disgusting and some of the product is obviously past it’s expire date(wilted grapes?). Half of the grocery shelves are not stocked and you can see how much dust are on the shelves — it would make Pig Pen from the Peanuts say, «Man, that’s dirty.» Let’s also not forget about the Walmart check out tradition of 20 customers waiting in 3 open lines. This is supposedly the only Walmart in the area, so I have sympathy for the people in the area who have to endure this hypermart.

We stop at this Walmart every time we come to the Smoky Mountains. At one time, this was the highest selling Walmart in total sales in Tennessee. It may still be but they still sell a lot of stuff today. Service is above normal at this location. I always get waited on within a reasonable time when I visit. They have a great big parking lot and this is where I shop at when I camp out in the area. I usually bar b w while camping in the Smokies. This is where I get my hot dogs, streaks, meats and other food at.
