Smoke In The Valley

For some reason Facebook has blocked me from leaving a review on the SITV page so I figured I would leave one here. Saturday was my 4^th year attending this event. Some things have changed and not for the better. The 1^st thing that changed was an additional $ 5 for the Belgian beer tent. In the numerous postings online advertising this event, they mentioned they would once again have Belgian beers but said nothing about needing to pay additional. They moved away from the Chili cook-​off an decided to now do a food truck competition. This would have been a great concept expect I feel the trucks should have had some type of samples for people to judge. If I buy 1 grilled cheese from a truck, I am not going to also buy more sandwiches from others just so I can judge them. This made it more of a «who had more sales» competition. Lastly, the hours for the event seemed to change. In EVERY post on Facebook, they stated the event was 12 – 6. In every yard sign posted in the area (I even took photos) they stated the event was 12 – 6. We found out when we got there the event was only 12 – 4:30. While that wasn’t a HUGE deal, it would have been nice to know before we bought tickets.
