Meatball and bacon pizza. Pan style, valley favorite since I was a child. Friendly staff, good prices. Meatball grinder is fantastic, thinly sliced meatlball!

We were a group of 7 .we had been doing some local volunteer work & looking for a last minute bite to eat. None of us had been here b4, but knew a friend who raved about the place, so decided to give it a try. So glad we did. We ordered different things: large meatball pizza, sm white w/broccoli, med bacon & olive, & a Greek salad. Food was delish. Service was meh. Our waitress only checked on us once, I tried to see if I could get her attention for a refill on drinks, but she seemed preoccupied with preparing to clean up the restaurant for the night; even though it was b49pm on a Thursday night. So we ended up finally paying the check and leaving. She was pleasant though. When we first walked in I thought the place was on the newer side, as it was well maintained, but one my friends said they’d heard the place had been around for more than 10yrs possibly.

i went here for lunch a couple times. Pizza is nothing special, typical greek style… it was also overcooked. Service was mediocre. Fountain sodas are not free refills? Lol what? Good salads!

Been ordering pizza from Zois’ for over 20 years & it’s always consistently good. Definitely a good Greek pie & a good value when you want a change from an Italian style pizza. I wish the owners would hire waitresses & phone order takers that have pleasant personalities & good manners. Over the last several years I have noticed a decline in the hired help. Just last evening I placed an order over the phone for a pizza & a salad. The girl who took my order was not only rude, but never said thank you. She hung up the phone while I was in the middle of asking her to repeat my order pick up number. When I went to pick my order up, she asked me for my order number. I said I didn’t know it, but told her what I had ordered. She slammed my pizza on the counter & after I paid, she never said something as a mere thank you. Not good for business.

Best Greek pie in the Valley. They make a delicious pie! The inside could use a bit of paint and dusting in the main seating area. But the food is great and the service is awesome. My go to for a mouth watering pie.

We’ve always enjoyed Zois’ pizza. The last time we went we ate there. Love the antipasto with the creamy Italian dressing and garlic bread. Our pizza was overcooked. We mentioned it to the waitress and she kinda shrugged it off. Haven’t been back since.

Went there for the first time and my review says that the food is awesome, 5 stars from a great tasting food aspect, and maybe one time I’ll go in and sit for dinner and we’ll see how the customer service is but as for the food and as a first timer it all was great, we ordered bacon and onion pizza with side order of Buffalo wings and mozzarella sticks and the food was awesome. So from the ordering out stand point and food I gave 5 stars, hopefully when I go in to eat I don’t have to edit this post and give it 2 stars

If you like Greek pie, then Zois(zoh-iss) is the joint. Everything is very tasty here but the pie is what shines to me. Hey even the people, that make it all happen, are a great bunch! I mostly do take home, but nothing beats fresh! A reason to travel in the valley!

Best pizza in the galaxy, I grew up in Seymour and this is the pizza joint we went to after dances, after karate and nights spent in with family and a good movie from spectrum video!!! Not only me but my whole family and the spouses family go here consistently for the great pizza they make… Anyways if you are going to go to a place just once and talk smack about that one time at least give the benefit of the doubt, I’ve worked in food service and Unilocal reviews hurt business, if it wasn’t what you were expecting or if it was so busy the waitress couldn’t wait on you hand and foot those are not rational reasons to hurt someone’s reputation, this place is historic and now there are customers that may miss out because of you… Anyways, this is the only pizza crust I will eat, if you want black char this is not the place, the sauce is house made and delicious, and the simplistic menu means they can focus on quality, a rarity nowadays since a lot of shops try to cater to everyone and over complicate their menu! I looooooooooooove Zois Pizza!!!

We tried this place three times and each time we hoped it would get better because we had heard good things about it. Unfortunately we were more disappointed each time. The pizza was ok in a desperate pinch but the food I would never pay for again.

Good pizza, heard owner just won big money in a Super Bowl pool, maybe he can use some to buy a personality!

I live in PA and would drive here monthly if I could. For those saying it’s not Italian, well you are correct, it’s not. This is authentic Greek pizza. I love that they don’t deliver. It keeps the family style restaurant vibe. Service is great and the food is killer. Love, love, love!!!

I have eaten at Zoi’s since they first opened in the early 1970’s. NOBODY does pizza like Zoi’s! I have lived in NYC, Atlanta, and now Txas — and I miss Zoi’s so much it isn;t even funny. Once you have had pizza from this place, you will never enjoy pizza anywhere else again, and I am not kidding! Zoi’s is and has been for the decades, the gold standard in pizza. I think this place should be on the Food Channel shows that feature the«so called» best pizza in America. It is the best kept secret in the world, tucked away in the small Valley town of Seymour CT. Try it!

We have tried Zois a few times now since moving and we won’t be back. We thought maybe it would get better because so many people told us it was good… they were wrong. The sauce tastes like ketchup, the meatballs were just wrong and nasty, the pizza was ok but not even that great and the service was super slow(although they were friendly). On to the next I guess. I hope we can find a good pizza place in our new town!

I haven’t had a chance to try other pizza places in Seymour yet, but based on reviews I’ve read, this is apparently rated the best one… which is kinda sad. This pizza is mediocre at best. The Marghertia looked NOTHING like a traditional Margherita — just like a regular cheese pizza with some chopped tomatoes thrown in and some dried basil flakes sprinkled on top. They didn’t even manage to chop up the bacon for the meat lovers pizza — just threw a few strips on top. Weird. Considering how close we are to New Haven — quite literally the National pizza mecca — one would think places around here would try harder. But nope. And, they don’t even deliver. I’ll order from here in a pinch, but if I’m really craving pizza it’s worth the 20 minute trek to Frank Pepe’s.

This is my favorite pizza place in town. Has been for years now. Like that it’s not super thin or thick crust. Always a good meal and like that they now serve beer/wine.

Probably the most disappointing dining experience I’ve had in a while. I went here with my sister after passing by it a couple of times. From the façade outside, it looks like it would be a fun, hip little joint, but the interior is very typical of a pizza place and looks like it’s stuck in the 90s. The food was absolutely forgettable. It takes a lot to impress me with Italian food, so maybe I’m just picky, but it was just so boring! I got a calzone with bacon and onions, and the onions might as well have been raw. The ingredients weren’t evenly mixed in the calzone, so I go many mouthfuls of just onion and dough. It took quite a while for our food to come out, which was even more disappointing because it wasn’t worth the wait. Our server was very sweet, which I always appreciate, although I can’t really say the same for the cashier up front(thankfully I wasn’t tipping her). Long story short: I won’t be back here. Boring and bland! Much better Italian food can be found all over The Valley.

So tried this place on a whim, passed it several times. Won’t go back. Pizza is horrible, wouldn’t surprise me if it was frozen. Everything from the sauce to the clams and all the toppings seemed canned or jarred. Nothing tasted fresh. Mozz sticks were Wayyy over done and terribly salty. I will say the place looked clean, well decorated and the staff was friendly and helpful!

This place is great. It may be the perfect pizza for delivery. The crust is nice and chewy, the sauce is doin its job and the cheese is a little awesomely salty. I would get it often if I had the chance.
