Stopped for a quick lunch and wanted to try the wings — definitely did not disappoint. Wings were crispy as I prefer well done. Tried the Gorgonzola, Garlic Parm and Habanero strawberry kiwi — all were truly excellent! Place is small, cozy, small town feel. The waitstaff is nice, prompt with refills and I can tell the wings were served as soon as it was prepared. Excellent wings!

Food and atmosphere good. To go service very poor. Saw my food sitting on the kitchen table for close to 10 minutes. This isn’t the first time that this has happened. If you are going to eat… eat there. Also, see Rachel on Tuesday or Wednesday night, she is a great bartender with a great attitude.

I’ve been here a few times and every time has been great. The service is always top notch and pleasant. Our server even remembered us from last time we were there. They have delicious wings and the other food looks really good as well. I also have to give a shout out to the manager who helped me out when there was an issue with parking, she really went above and beyond to help and clearly cares about her customers. Would highly recommend it here.

As luck would(perhaps debatably) have it I have wound up working in CT for the greater part of the last 6 month or so by the drafting this review. Over the course of that time, this place has been referenced to me by a wide variety of Connecticutians(??!) as having the best wings in the state. When in the area, I had to make a pit stop. The awesomely country-gritty locale and exterior had me thinking this place might be a tough«locals only’ spot of the more intimidating and insular order, and the music-less, spartan mid-day interior I walked into didn’t do much to persuade me, if I hadn’t known I would have assumed little to no food was served here. I was most pleasantly surprised to find a rather shockingly extensive menu and even more surprising, and extensive number of daily specials offered. Even better was the fact that the bartender wound up being not merely friendly but down right delightful. Furthermore while all signs pointed to the places beer selection being brutally limited, they had a nice Long Trail on tap and a local CT brew from the new Two Roads Brewery in Stamford. But in the end it was the wings we came for and they are the major focal point of this review; Its important to note this is a personal philosophy and many others feel strongly the opposite, but to me, when it comes to wings, bigger aren’t always better. Yes when you get these blown up genetically modified hormone pumped monster wings you get to consume more meat, but at a great cost. The flavor is lacking and far blander than smaller more natural wings, the meat consistency fatter and far more rubbery. Worse yet, it is a major hindrance to achieving real crispiness, an absolute must for me when considering wings. You know how those huge hormone pumped strawberries sold in massive supermarkets don’t taste 1⁄1000th as delicious as a far smaller, naturally organically grown one, or one you might taste in another country? Its the same deal. I got a bad premonition I might run into this issue here when the JUMBO aspect of the wings was emphasized greatly and frequently all over the menu. That being said some people love these type of wings, and I do give them a lot of credit for coming up with all those flavors and offering a special one daily. Id love to see what they would do with some smaller, more flavorful & crispier wings. Anyway the place is a cool, scrappy, certainly pretension-free spot and I would definitely recommend it to someone who would ever find themselves passing thru this tiny town up in the deeper reaches of «The Valley» For wings in CT however, I will stick to Archie Moores, or seek out another new place.

Went for lunch one Friday afternoon around noon. My husband and I were the only people in the place. Ordered fries with cheese and bacon appetizer and 2 burgers. Waitress came back and said they were out of bacon(?) could they substitute something else. Ok we said and waited 25 minutes for our appetizer of french fries. Waited another 35 minutes and no burgers yet. Went to waitress/bartender who by the way was very nice, and asked for the burgers to go as we had been there for over and hour and had to open our store. She then told us that the burgers hadn’t even been started yet, so we were able to cancel our order. I have no idea what is wrong with this place, but a restaurant that can’t cook 2 burgers in an hour is one I will not go back to.

We went here at the end of a long night. The staff was super friendly and the service is great. Nice crowd but definitely a neighborhood dive. One word of caution: the Jack Daniels wings are super boozy and will probably get you as drunk as any shot.

We came here on a Saturday night with friends who live in the area. They’ve been going here for wings for quite some time, and hyped it up for us. In a group of 9 we ordered: –several types of wings: Sesame, buffalo, general Tsao’s, and some others –Deep fried green beans… really good! It’s like a blooming onion, but with green beans –Several pitchers of beer. They have long trail and shock top on tap It’s a cool, divey vibe. Definitely a little«townie» hangout, but a good place to get together with friends for greasy food and cold beer.

What from the outside appears to be a seedy dive bar, turns out to be a great casual restaurant with lots of menu options. There’s a page-long listing of the kinds of chicken wings offered, as well as house made soups, sandwiches, burgers, and even more sophisticated options like penne a la vodka. I really enjoyed our visit and look forward to going back.
