wings here are awesome!!! The restaurant at 228 Pershing Drive has closed, but they are supposed to be reopening in another location in the area. I miss this place and hope they reopen soon!

I am a fan of Southern Wings Express. This is a spin off of the West Haven Southern Wings Express. I agree with the previous reviewer that this place does have an Indian cuisine spin to it.
However, when it comes to Hot Wings, this place is great. The chicken is always good, always delicious! They also have very good sides. The cheese fries have a cheeze whiz covering — fake cheese is seriously the best to pair with fries.
My personal favorite are the Hot boneless buffalo wings (sauce # 3). They are GREAT for Sundays watching football and pounding a couple beers. Others that are good are the Spicy BBQ, Honey BBQ, TariCheriDactyl (name is weird but tastes great!) and the Garlic Teriyaki.
Try the corn bread & wings rice as well — both are very good.
Have this delivered for a Sunday football game and enjoy!

Name of the place is a little misleading, they seem to be more of an Indian cuisine place and while they definatly have wings maybe I’ll get the naan next time. The chicken was really good, moist and meaty. I got the boneless wing, good portion size and I got them medium heat and it was good for me not to hot but just right. I’m impressed. They have other flavors as well so there’s a good variety. Pretty small not the sit down dinner kind of place definatly either delivery or pick up.
