Tommy’s Tanning

I have had an excellent experience with Tommy’s Tanning in Ansonia. The ladies who work there have been very kind and helpful, they have offered good advice and recommendations. I purchased the highest level of tanning so the equipment is top notch quality and extremely effective. For a pale, pale, pale girl– I am looking more golden than I ever dreamed possible.
This location is kept very clean and the air conditioning is always perfect. The music is always at a good level and the machines are always clean.
I usually tan on my lunch break and I have never had to wait more than 10 minutes to get a bed, and if I had a lower plan I am sure I would never ever a wait.
I love the tanning products they offer as well but they are extremely costly– this is to be expected though, it is not unique to this Tommy’s or to any tanning salon. Anyone looking for a relaxing and stress-​free tanning time should try this location of Tommy’s!

I love being tan. That’s probably because growing up I was *blessed* (ha!) with pale, pale, pale Irish skin… naturally, I’m practically see through. When I tell people that now though, they laugh in my face! This is all thanks to Tommy’s.
Now, I have tanned at many of the locations (East Haven, Oxford, North Haven, West Haven, Hamden to name a few) and even worked at East Haven myself years ago… and quite honestly this Tommy’s is the best of the bunch. Granted it is one of the newest, but the equipment is just top notch (the owners really need to update the older salons!). They have a true HP bed (sorry people, the Ergoline 600 is a high performance bed, but NOT a true high pressue), which is the Open Air 1050 – this thing has POWER. They have 4 brand new 600s (they talk to you, which is cool and annoying all at the same time) – unlike most of the salons which have two and older models at that! – and a bunch of base beds – some with facial tanners, some without. They also have one stand up. I dig the 20 dollar a month for base tanning that you can cancel whenever with no penalty – I tend to just upgrade myself every so often in the winter, and then just buy their decently priced upgrade package for 35 bucks.
The girls that work here are really nice too and keep the place CLEAN (please, don’t get me started on how nasty some of the bathrooms are at the other Tommy’s – or the things I have seen on the floors of the rooms!). The lotion used to be strictly California Tan, but they are slowly starting to integrate other lotions lines in as well – still to overpriced for me to buy here, but nice to see they are doing it.
This is definitely the best Tommy’s in the chain.
