This place used to have a pretty good breakfast, but has let us down the last 4 – 5 visits. Not sure what has changed. Eggct really needs a make-over, and a deep cleaning — not just the restaraunt, but a few of the staff. Its pretty clear the servers who care and and who don’t but the mystery is why a couple of them are still there. A few are in desperate need of coaching/training. A few are really great! I thought maybe the past few visits were just bad luck, but after eating here 1 – 2 times a month the past couple of years, I would suggest(if owners are reading this) it’s time for an intervention. Declining food quality, inconsistent service, a poorly laid out seating arrangement and accumulating grime generally doesn’t have a happy ending for a restaraunt.

We don’t have a lot of options in Shawnee, so this place has been our Sunday morning go-to for a few years now. The décor is outdated, but the food is generally decent, and the service is generally pretty good. Unfortunately, it seems like every time we go in the place, it just seems a little dirtier, and something is always just a little off with the food. Today, my food came out cold. I asked the server if she could have them warm it up. She took it back, and it was at least 10 minutes before I saw it again. I finally just asked her to put it in a to-go box, as my husband was already done with his food. She was very apologetic and accommodating, but didn’t offer to have a manager come by(come to think of it, we never see a manager), nor did she offer to take anything off our bill. There’s just not enough good about this place to bring me back.

I visited eggtc. around 10:30a on a Monday, and it was pretty packed with people. The waitress was very sweet, but the food was like most chain restaurants like Denny’s or IHOP. I was quite disappointed with my order though. I thought I ordered a Fresh Fruit & Yogurt with granola and a muffin, but It looked like I ordered a Fruit & Muffin with a smidgen of yogurt and dash of granola to garnish the plate. the amount of fruit was comparably twice the size of my yogurt cup, and the yogurt was perhaps twice the size of the scoop of whipped buttercream served beside it. It took a while to register that, yes, my yogurt was that handful of off-white cream in the tiny cup. The proportion of yogurt was… Fruits were alright, but they taste like they’ve been sitting in cold water for a bit, and the banana slices were bruised. The blueberry muffin — they taste like they came from Wal-Mart. i personally did not enjoy it. i counted 2 blueberries in my muffin To this regard, may I suggest Cracker Barrel as a step up! Neither Cracker nor Eggtc are posh or some hip, local brunch & lunch diners, but I find the first more proportionally correct with their menu items than the latter. I don’t think they sneak 20% gratuity in your receipt either. I paid $ 8.20 for the above rather than the menu price listed at $ 6.29. Disclaimer: I am quite selective about places I say I enjoy. This spot was just not for me, and the said things are reasons why. If you are taking your 12-yr-old out for a breakfast date, this is not so bad

I was worried this was going to be another breakfast disaster but this place was ridiculously good! The breakfast potatoes were the best I have ever had! They were crispy, fresh and deliciously simple. I wish we had this place in Wichita because I am pretty sure we would be there every weekend! The service was top notch and they were very kid friendly! I highly recommend this place! We will be back!

Awesome food and nice selection. Plenty of vegetarian options and wide range of everything from drink to dessert. Prices aren’t bad at all especially for the quality. Service has been consistently good as well.

There is nothing like getting to brunch on the Monday of a three-day weekend! So I have to say that I have always been skeptical of Eggtc. because I know that it’s owned by Minsky’s and, to put it lightly, I’m not a fan of Minsky’s. However, my family wanted to go this morning, and I’m not one to say«no» to a free meal. I visited the Shawnee location, which is in a weird location, if you ask me. It’s right off of an overpass and if you blink, you’d miss it. We arrived around 11:30 and there was a wait time of 30 minutes. There’s not a whole lot of a waiting area, so we ended up waiting on a bench outside. When we finally were seated, we were greeted by our very cheerful, bubbly server. I wish I’d remembered her name because I’d love to give her a shoutout. Eggtc., if you’re reading this, please let your server with the short hair and glittery eyeshadow know that she was awesome! The inside of the restaurant looks to be a renovated bar. It’s pretty open with one raised seating area and one at a regular level. There’s a lot of yellow paint on the walls and it goes nicely with the reddish wooden furniture and wall trimmings. For brunch, I had a cup of tea and the crêpe dulce. I expected the tea to be of the Lipton variety, but what I was brought was a tea bag of organic English breakfast tea in a cute silky sachet. I know that Eggtc. isn’t making the tea or anything, but it was really good, and I have to commend them in their tea choices. The crêpe dulce was excellent! To explain, it consisted of two sweet crepes filled with fresh strawberries and a fruity-ricotta sauce; topped with fresh mangoes and strawberries, candied pecans, and a mango sauce; and finished with a whipped cream garnish. The crepes could have been chewier and the mangoes could have been a little riper, but it was so good. And that ricotta filling! Fantastic! The service was great and the entire experience was enjoyable. If you, for whatever reason, find yourself in Shawnee, Kansas on a weekend(or weekday!) morning, check out Eggtc. for a great brunch.

I’m from San Diego and this place has pretty freakin good eggs benedict. I had the eggs florentine and they were cooked perfectly with fresh avocado, spinach, and tomatoe.

The best. Best. Best. Best. And best breakfast place in town. Service has watched my kids grow from when we had none to now that my daughter is three and greets us as family when we arrive. Our waitress just said she was happy and excited to see my one year old boy walking and being adventurous. The Rockies Benny is my go-to with the Southwestern Benny and Desperito Burrito to follow while my wife loves the Garden of Eden and Spinach and 4-Cheese Omelet. Their waffles are amazing. Out of this world, legit. I can’t express enough how great this place is and less than $ 30 for a family of 4. «On my death bed, my greatest regret will be that we didn’t find Eggetc until we’d gone to First Watch one-too-many times…» –Sarah, my Wife

So this is right down the road from my house and I’ve never been but I’m really not a breakfast/brunch gal. A friend suggested we meet there for lunch and surprisingly I got breakfast food. It was really good and so dang fast! I got the breakfast sandwich with sausage, egg and cheddar on sour dough. Can’t complain. It was pretty great. I think I would come back if I ever found myself wanting breakfast food from a restaurant.

I have dined a many local eats in my 30 years eating out. Eggct. Has to be one of the better cafes for a great breakfast, brunch, or Lunch. They serve local roaster’s Parisi’s coffee, a big plus. The servers are very friendly and check on their customers frequently. On several visits we have bern served by Tiffany, who seems very busy, but always takes the time to speak to her customers. Management is also very courteous and professional. The food is consistently flavorful and tasty and the coffee hot and freshly brewed. The chorizo omelet has plenty of chorizo to distinguish from the sparse black pepper seasoning serving other cafes pass off. An added bonus is the televisions to keep informed of current news, sports, etc. overall, Eggct provides a quality product and service for a wonderful dining experience.

This was a nice brunch. It was not all that and a bag. The service was pretty good on a slammed Memorial Day. I ordered Eggs that were super good. I like them scrambled soft, and they were perfecto. The bacon was cooked soft as well and very tasty. My grits were by far the low point of the visit. They were absolutly forgetable.

The première breakfast stop in the greater Kansas City metro. You better believe that you won’t leave hungry, but you will leave impressed. From the great service, to the egg-centric art on the walls this place matches its ascetic personality with the same energy with its food and service. They have a secret weapon that most breakfast places should have to be consider to be première. The bar. It is magic, and the interaction with the staff is not mandatory, but highly recommended. Small talk, big talk, or no talk to pair with the copious options for drinks and personalized menu will be a memory that you won’t forget. P. S. If you like home made salsa, try theirs. Made fresh every day, and so flavorful.

Always reliable for a great breakfast. My favorite is the«Classico» Fast turnover on tables so wait isn’t real bad on weekends. Week days are way better. Always have friendly service, they never make you feel rushed even when they’re busy & food comes out relatively quick. It’s my go-to place for a breakfast out. Nothing too fancy but a nice place, reasonable prices & good selections for personalizing your dish. Not hesitant to go back.

Good food and great customer service! We got our food 15 minutes before they closed and I didn’t feel rushed to eat my food and leave :) The menu is pretty extensive though. So, it wouldn’t hurt to review the menu before you go if you’re not sure exactly what you’re looking for. They have plenty of options to choose from :)
