Eye Associates of Shawnee

Well, received call and text to pick up glasses on Thursday Feb. 11. Took time off work on Friday to get them but found the office closed. There was no sign indicating the reason. Called all the various offices and they are all closed. Unless some died, this is very rude treatment of customers. At this time on Saturday, none of the offices are open either.

I switched to Eye Associates a couple of years ago due to a frustrating experience with another eye doctor in the area. Since then, I have had no issues with my eye care. They are easy to schedule an appointment with and their hours are absolutely fabulous. Open most of the day Saturday? Stellar! I’ve rarely had to wait more than about 15 minutes in the waiting room for adjustments (and I’m very particular about my glasses) and the staff is all very kind and concerned about my experience. This past appointment I had, they actually had the glasses I wanted and my prescription in stock! (Both pairs!) I was sitting in the parking lot and I got a phone call telling me that my glasses would be ready in about 20 minutes instead of 2 weeks! I’m sure this doesn’t happen often but it was delightful when it did happen.
Insurance-​wise, I have eye-​med/​Surrency insurance and they take it. They are also fantastic at explaining my benefits and how they work to a dunce like me. Give them a try, they have about 4 locations around Johnson County.
