Great place! I am always impressed by their beers. They always have new beers on tap to try. They have perfected the double IPA, right up their with Heady Topper! Super friendly staff, they really seem to like their work.

First time visiting and very pleased overall. Generous case limit allowed for Second Fiddle, which made me super happy. Loved the 2 beers on tap(Fiddlehead IPA and Rarefied Air), both excellent. Nice tap room and really convenient being located next to an amazing pizza place that allows BYOB!

Last week I plundered VT’s breweries for their fine IPAs. Today, now that I’m back home I opened a can of the Second Fiddle to enjoy while watching the Master’s. It was outstanding. Yesterday I had a Heady Topper and Sip of Sunshine from the can but the Fiddlehead I drank from a frosty glass. The Fiddlehead had a great«hoppy» taste but just seemed easier to drink. Perhaps it was the drinking out of the glass??? Either way, I’m glad I stopped here and thankful they had cans available. I brought home 3 four packs to share with friends. I plan on making another beer run to VT in the summer and hope to grab more.

Quick and easy to get in and out with my beer. Can’t get much faster and knowing there was no limit on the case I got makes me wish I had gotten more.

Fiddlehead is a great brewery just south of Burlington. Mostly known for 2nd Fiddle and Mastermind, we decided to come here to check out the scene. We were alittle underwhelmed by Fiddlehead. Unfortunately, they only had two beers for growler fills and we had missed out on cans. Regular Fiddlehead IPA is pretty solid, but with such a well-known brewery, we were hoping that there would be a few more offerings on tap. Also, note that Fiddlehead is attached to a pizzeria. They are BYO, so definitely stop by, fill a growler, and enjoy it as fresh as possible while noshing on a few slices.

I LOVETHISPLACE come here if you want to have just a truly great time, grab a growler of Mastermind, grab Folino’s pizza, add a couple friends and BOOM you just had a super great time. Busy because it’s great. Utterly worth a stop when you’re in VT chasing delectable suds.

I really enjoy the taproom at Fiddlehead Brewing. They poor each tap offering individually, describe it, and provide a free sample. There are growler fills available for the 3 or 4 beers they are offering. Even better, and an upgrade since my first visit in August, is that they have canned beer now. My timing couldn’t have been better, as I had the Second Fiddle Double IPA around Stowe and that was what they had in cans. I grabbed a case to bring back to the neighborhood, and added a second Fiddlehead glass to the collection as well. Friendly, insightful, and not a circus atmosphere like some of the other breweries. Next time I’m there, I hope the timing is right to try to the pizza joint next door!

Super good beer — got myself a 64 oz. growler filled up with IPA for $ 13! Unheard of in NYC! Also, the staff is really nice. Pizza shop is located right next to it, so its pretty amazing.

Excellent! We had second fiddle and it was super juicy. Sat in the pizza place next door, also excellent, and enjoyed our purchases. Must go!

We ordered a white pizza at Fiddlehead before a three hour drive back to NY. The restaurant is small. Expect a 30 – 40 minute wait on a Saturday night. With that, we ordered our pie to go. Took 20 min to cook(standard time for a pizza). It was AMAZING. You can taste the wood fired crust and it’s delicious. The crust has a perfect thickness. Pictured below. Enjoy!

Tasty beer and great flatbreads(next door). The beer is affordable and the flatbreads are reasonably priced. Definitely a great place to check out if a craft beer lover. By the way, samples are free! :)

It was a pretty big tasting room but it was very hot inside and while the tastings are free the line gets long for both tastings and purchases since its only one line.

The beer is excellent. They are attached to Folino’s, One of the best pizzas I have ever had, and you can bring your growler from Fiddlehead in to have with your meal. There is even a self serve cooler of frosted pint glasses for your beer. While the beer is everything you wished it would be, the experience of visiting not so much. I came in with my wife, and they gave a a tiny shot glass of each beer to taste. A tiny shot glass to share, not even one each. We enjoyed the beer very much, so got some growlers and headed next door.

Visited on the way back from a trip to Stowe for a tasting. Tasting was free, 2 beers were on tap, we really enjoyed one but not the other(the name escapes me) but can’t really complain with free samples. Tasting room is standing room only with no areas away from the direct bar area.

Bright, clean, and accessible; just like the beer they brew here. Fiddlehead is a small brewery that is always doing something unique and delicious. The space boasts tasting, merchandise, and a view into the brewing process. The staff is always super friendly and engaging, and the samples of some of the best beer in Vermont are always free. Prices for the growler and half growler fills are super affordable and the deposit for the glass containers is one of the lowest of any brewery I’ve been too. The tasting room always has their flagship IPA available, and 1 – 2 other special small batch brews. Check out their social media presence on Facebook and Twitter for updates on the newest keg to be tapped. While Fiddlehead doesn’t have any food offerings themselves, Folino’s Wood Fired Pizza is located in the same building and offers some great food, plus they are BYOB, so grab a Fiddlehead and enjoy!

It’s a little small and not enough customer service systems in place. The immediate vestibule is the only cramped waiting area for a line to form for tasting and growler fills. There’s a pizza restaurant immediately to the right once you squeeze past the people in line. We didnt eat there because I think we heard that you have to buy your beer in the growler line. Mastermind was sold out. They only had Fiddlehead IPA and Brett ’ s last Straw. They take other growler for fills as long as they are clean and have a government warning.

Really great beer! When we went there(around 11 am on a Sat) there was a HUGE line because, unbeknownst to us, they had just released some new cans of their IPA! Anyway, it really spoke to the professionalism of the staff that they were able to handle the volume of people(and beer), and to the quality of the beer that so many people made a special trip just to make sure they got their weekend brews. They also have really well designed merch!

I want to start off by saying I REALLY like the beers here. I’ve had the IPA, and Tejas Marron and both are delicious beers that deserve a much higher rating. But here is why I give it three stars. 1) My first experience was the can release, waiting in line. Actually not a bad experience, quickly moved through customers. Free Coozie, missed getting second fiddle by 15 minutes but thats my fault not theirs. But when I got to the front of the line the guy asked me «What is the capital of New Mexico». I paused, knowing I knew the answer and couldn’t recall it. He quickly snapped«doesn’t matter anymore, but your holding up the line». I’ve never been so thrown off in my life. Ask me a question and get mad at me for trying to answer… also my money was out and ready. Ugh. It really irked me. 2) I’d probably give it a higher rating if we didn’t go right after the release. They were all kicked of everything but there IPA. So they have a tasting room, and we could only taste the beer I’ve already had. In tiny little shot glass cups. Not super impressed with that experience. The girl was incredibly sweet though, and apologetic for not having more. I assume I’ll go back eventually and re-review if they have more beers that I can try. I mean the sampling is free which is nice, but I’d honestly rather pay 5 dollars and get real samples then little tastes.

During a leaf-peeping trip to the east coast, we also did a bit of brewery-peeping. One of the breweries we wandered into was Fiddlehead. It happened to be the day they were canning MasterMind, which was a special treat. It was insane to think that the entire batch would be gone that day, but as we watched person after person buy as many cans as they could carry our doubt evaporated. The beer was delicious and the lady doing the tasting that day was knowledgeable and did a great job of explaining the beers. They do the standard Vermont tasting, which if you’re not aware is 3−3oz pours per person. Free, though, which is a nice feature. The one thing I take away from them star-wise is both a benefit and an annoyance. There’s a pizza place in the same building where you can buy pints to drink. This is nice because most of the breweries don’t let you buy pints to consume on the premises. However, it’s inside another restaurant. So if you’ve already eaten and want to sit and have a pint, you feel awkward taking up space in a restaurant when they aren’t getting anything from you. Definitely go on a MasterMind day and get yourself a four-pack. Have a few tastes and then grab a pint«for the road.» It’s definitely a good representation of Vermont beer.

One of my favorite Vermont breweries –They offer a stellar flagship IPA and a delightful rotation of special brews. Fiddlehead usually has 3 beers on tap and also just began selling canned versions of their double IPA. The brewery itself is fantastic, offering free samples of what is on tap, a growler fill station, and merchandise. The staff are always extremely friendly, knowledgable and make excellent recommendations and the brewery environment is cozy and inviting. Being a local Vermont business, being green and sustainable is certainly always a priority, Fiddlehead has partnered with a local farm(Otter Creek Heritage Farm just 20 miles off from the brewery) where they take the ‘spent’ grain(a byproduct of the brewing process) and repurpose it as feed for the pigs. Now, tucked in the corner of the brewery itself, is an Otter Creek Heritage Farm frozen pork section where you can purchase meats raised in this sustainable system. Additionally, Folino’s flatbread pizza is just through a door and welcomes folks to bring their growlers from Fiddlehead in for their dining experience(and also offer chilled glasses for just that!) Definitely worth checking the brewery out — and a definite stop if you’re doing the Vermont Brewery Tour Passport!
