Stopped in Saturday for a tasting. Two people were behind the counter. The female was attentively interacting with another couple with their wine tasting. The male behind the counter totally ignored us. Even when I put the money on the counter for a tasting. Can’t really recommend the wines because I never tasted them. I don’t understand why we were never acknowledged or spoken to but I will never be back. BTW we received excellent service at the fiddlehead across the road and bought several growlers. That is the better place to visit.

Worth a stop for a quick«10 wines for $ 7» tasting if you’re in the area– nothing too fancy, just some solid, local wines to try. The purveyor was very sweet and patient with us, and I found their wines to be pretty tasty(we bought a bottle of the Porch Rocker to take home, although there were 2 or 3 others I was seriously considering as well). Would be great to sit outside here on a summers day with a nice glass of white, taking in the beautiful scenery.

We stopped by the Shelburn Vineyard, after visiting the Shelburne Farms. We were the farm and the vineyard are not related. They are just located fairly close to each other and definitely drop by if you have some time, after visiting the farm. The staff were friendly and we shared a tasting of 10 wines for $ 7 with a wine glass to take home with us. We bought the 2013 Marquette and 2014 Duet Ice, we enjoyed them very much and will recommend this winery as one of the to do things in this area.

Very nice tasting room set up. We had a coupon for 2 free tastings and enjoyed one red so that we bought a glass to drink each on the patio area. We also bought 1 bottle of red to take back to NY.

$ 7 for 10 tastings — what a deal! The wines, which were mostly white, were all pretty tasty, but our favorite was the reserve red. It’s aged in oak, which I’m a fan of. The tasting room staff were extremely friendly and knowledgable about the wine. I saw a sign about live music too, which would be great on the patio or the lofted area above the tasting room.

Not a great vineyard experience. We tried to get the cheese pairing and wine tasting for 2 people at the inside air conditioned bar but they said we had to go outside if we wanted the cheese plate. We noticed a couple doing their wine tasting with cheese at the inside bar… So we went out side and luckily found a table for 4 under the awning. Thankfully it was in the shade because it was muggy and sunny. I asked the outside server for a tasting and a cheese plate. He said yeah but he’d have to check to see if they had anymore more cheese left. We got our tasting glasses and the first pour; the usual bottle stopper amount of about 20 mls. Then we waited and waited and then I had to make eye contact to get our next tiny pour. Another girl staff person came around and asked what were were on. That was understandable. She poured and then we had to wait and wait for either of them to pour each wine in succession. I never got my cheese plate but a couple in their 60s who sat down after us. The wines were fine, we didn’t purchase any. The service and rules were lame.

Great little vineyard on the side of the road. Do the wine and cheese tasting for $ 15. Very generous sized cheese portions. Loved the selections! Would visit here again.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My friend came to VT for a visit and I wanted to take her here because I’ve had great experiences in the past. We got there at 5:15 and all we heard for the rest of our time there is how they were closing at 6. The staff was unbelievably unwelcoming and flat out rude. The wine and cheese pairing that we did was delicious but I will never go there again because of how we were treated. If you do go, make sure you go at a time that is more convenient for the staff so you’ll have a better experience.

I’ve done two wine tastings here, and both were very good. For $ 7 you can try a variety of wines. I particularly like the Cayuga white. I’d recommend getting a glass after the tasting and sitting at the tables outside – beautiful views of the mountains.

Tasting was only $ 7 for a good amount of different wines. The bartender was very knowledgeable in the types of wine and answered any questions we had. We ended buying 6 bottles of wine, which they offered a discount on the purchase of 6 or more. Would definitely add this to the list of attractions to visit while in VT!

We stopped in while visiting the Burlington area while on a long weekend trip and were pleasantly surprised! While Vermont doesn’t strike you as a grape growing region, they do pretty well! Some grapes are imported, but many are grown locally as well. The wines were overall very good. I especially liked the reserve Marquette and we took a bottle home with us as well. The tasting room was pretty– quaint yet spacious with some lovely paintings on the walls. I really enjoyed our visit. I’m sure it would be even more lovely in the summertime.

Charming winery in beautiful Shelburne, Vermont. I would highly recommend the tasting to get a better understanding of the vineyards’ offerings. Wines available are listed on their seasonal wine menu which offered a variety of reds, whites, meads, and ciders. Most wines are made exclusively from the grapes on site, but there are some that are blends as well. The servers are all very educated about their wines and offer wine crackers to cleanse the palate before moving on to the next tasting. When finished, you keep your sample glasses as souvenirs(our cupboards boast a relatively good stock). Also ask about the wine facility tour to get a more intimate understanding of the wine making process. The vineyard itself is beautiful and they do weddings and other events on site. I went this past week to their Wine and Food festival which was fantastic, offering many established and emerging local food artisans, and benefitted the Vermont Food Shelf. Keep your eyes peeled for further events here, you won’t want to miss them.

Nice tasting room right off the main route 7. They have lot of whites that run the gamut. The reds were not to my taste but my wife liked the white blend that was drinkable and the ice wine. The pourer was very friendly and discussed the wines well. She was not bothered even when 3 adults and four children came in and the children began running around the bar.

The reserve Marquette is something to keep an eye on. The last release was the first to come from fully mature vines. Vastly superior to the Cab Francs produced in Vt and the Finger Lakes regions. This will be the flagship red varietal for the North East. The regular release Marquette is very good as well. The vineyard is beautiful, and the tasting room is quaint and comfortable. Only complaint would be that the ladies working behind the tasting counter were more interested in chatting than serving the wine tasting, and didn’t offer a lot of info on the wines, particularly the new varietal Marquette. It is a must stop though as the wine is not exported, and the Marquette is a must taste.

Great Vineyards, tasty wines top notch service. Stopped in after checking out Otter creek, and having planned to visit this place the night before while at Fiddlehead. The place is very clean and inviting. Bathrooms are also clean. The kind folks at Shelburne even put out a nice plate with local offerings to snack on while you taste wine. THe wine’s were very tasty, and the price for the offerings are more than fair. Places to sit and enjoy your wine inside and out. Will go back whenever I am in the area.

My wife and I stopped in on a recent road trip to Burlington, and w were looking for a fun distraction before heading home. Sure it was busy, and crowded, but the grounds are beautiful, the tour was free, and the wine was flowing. The tasting room is large and comfortable, and the selection is varied. I mean, look folks: This is New England. We’re not exactly known for our wines, so you’re not going to be blown away by the wine itself, though I was impressed with it compared to other East Coast wineries. One of the things I love about this vineyard is that technology permeates every aspect of the wine making process. They’re using some really interesting grape varieties developed in university labs in the midwest. It makes for a fascinating story, so make sure to ask your tour guide about it. If you’re a fan of wine, you’re in the Burlington area and you have a couple of hours to kill, I think you should stop in. It’s a pleasant way to pass the time.

Out of the four vineyards we visited on our recent vacation this was the best by far. They had a larger selection, a nice tasting area, very knowledgeable staff and the wines were just better than the rest. There is a small fee for tastings, but you get to keep the glass and choose 7(if I remember correctly) wines to sample. I recommend checking them out if you are in the area.

We went here on a whim after leaving Folino’s across the street. We did the wine tasting(though not the tour) and I think it was a pretty good deal. $ 5 got us a glass to take home and I think 8 generous swigs of various wines, meads and ice cider. The lady serving us was nice and knowledgable. It was a fun way to spend a bit more time with friends and it’s a neat thing to bring out-of-town friends and family to check out. I loved the little store with all the Vermont goodies around. Very cute.
