I’m not usually a pancakes person but naturally I had to order pancakes here. I got caramel apple pancakes(actually I can’t remember the exact name but it is on the specials menu) and yum! The pancakes were fluffy and the perfect size. Be ready to wait for a seat or call in an hour beforehand. If my friends did not call in an hour before we would have waited at least 30 minutes for a seat.

One thing they should get right is pancakes. After all, it is called, okay, you know. I ordered the eggs with hash browns and buttermilk pancakes(a combo available on the menu) to get a sense of what kind of quality I can expect here. Plus, I love a good pancake with butter and maple syrup. What I expected was a fluffy tender pancake but got a horribly dense cake with almost no leavening whatsoever. The batter was probably over beaten and left over from the day before. Not even remotely good. The sausage patties were over cooked and dry to the point of being jerky-like. The hash browns were okay but under-seasoned and bland. The one high point were the crepes my wife ordered. They were pretty tasty. At one time I thought that I wanted to go to a restaurant at least 2 or 3 times before posting a negative review since it seems like a few 1 and 2 star reviews can do some harm to a business and everybody can have a bad day once in awhile. I have changed my mind. If a business expects me to spend hard earned dollars at their establishment then they better bring their«A» game every day. I don’t want to hear about their«off» days. Give me a good attitude, good service, and a good product or I won’t be back. Then I will tell the world about the nonsense I encountered. I will also talk about the good stuff, as well. So, here we have a Pancake place that has horrible pancakes. Bye.

One of my favorite places for breakfast. Best place for crepes, and baked omlettes. The service is always good and friendly. I usually visit there 3 times a month.

Love the food!!! Ordering the stuffed pancakes here is so good. They take a bit of time but they are worth the wait, we will definitely go there again!

Great food! Cranky staff sometime but definitely fast :) I LOVE the pancakes and the feel of the restaurant. Came with a group of friends a few weeks ago, we will definitely be returning here!

Love this place they have the best crepes in town. The service is excellent also. Everything I’ve had there has always been delicious and fresh. It’s truly a gem of Shelby Township.

This place is hit or miss so be careful. If you wanted to go to the Pantry but they were to busy then this is your place. This place is a knock off of the pantry the menu is very similar but not even close to the quality of the pantry. I had the biscuits and gravy which were both luke warm at best(is it to much to ask that they be warm enough to melt butter?) and the bacon pancakes which shockingly were room temperature. When they are focused and less busy the food is better but still is a bad version of the pantry.

This place. Hands down the best bacon around and one of the best breakfast gems in the area. My boyfriend and I love coming here when we have a hankering for some delicious Sunday breakfast. They also serve a lunch menu, but I don’t believe I’ve ever tried it. They serve everything from omelettes to crepes, to caramel apple pancakes(a holiday special), and everything in between. So delicious there is often at least a 15 minute wait to get a seat, but it is well worth it.

First off, like others mentioned, very dirty. The hostess stand, the floors, the tables… all the pictures on the walls were all crooked, I’d hate to see what the bathrooms looked like, but I wasn’t going to find out. First thing I noticed when looking at the menu, was their website was NOT up to date. Prices on the menu were $ 1-$ 3 more, definitely something I was not expecting as I had browsed the menu online prior to coming today. And with that said, who pays $ 10 for an omelette that doesn’t even include hashbrowns!!! Add another $ 2.50 if you want some hashbrowns with your breakfast, making your grand total one very expensive breakfast. I browsed the menu and ill be honest, already knew I wanted to try one of their specialty pancakes but that was quickly smashed when the waitress informed me that they takes 25 minutes to cook. Really?! Am I the only one who thinks that’s crazy? Have they heard of a convection oven? I ended up ordering the Boss burger w/fries($ 8.99) and the Shelby special($ 8.79) for me and my kids to share. The burger was ½lb with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato and special sauce, pickle on the side. It was ok. Tasted like a GFS frozen patty. For $ 9 I would have thought it would be a fresh made hamburger. Fries were good and crispy. The Shelby special was a English muffin, with sausage patties on top, topped off with poached eggs and a mushroom sherry sauce, with a side of potato pancakes. Ugh, where do I begins with this disaster… I should have guessed by the appearance that the waste was going to match the awful display on my plate. The sherry sauce was curdled mess. The English muffin was so stale and hard that I couldn’t even cut it with my knife. The sausage patty was just fowl, wasn’t sure if that just the brand they use or if it was in fact bad, needless to say I didn’t eat them. I opted for scrambled eggs instead of poached and once I scraped what I could of the sherry sauce off, my kids did in fact eat the eggs. The potato pancakes were decent, but were the thickness of a piece of cardboard, no body of depth or texture to them, what a big let down. I know a lot of people like this place, but for the price, I won’t be returning and wasting my money. Too many way better, less expensive/bigger portion/better tasting places in the area.

We stopped in this morning for food in between softball games. Our waitress was quick to get our orders and drinks. The wait was long to get our food 20 minutes! My daughter ordered pancakes with apples and caramel. She didn’t eat much said they were terrible. I ordered a sandwich minus cheese and it was covered in cheese! And my friend ordered eggs, potatoes and toast. We never received the toast! Needless to say we won’t be returning EVER!

Eaten here a dozen times and the food is always good. I have never had any of the negative experiences some others described, not even close and this place is always recommended by friends who live /work nearby. They always have unique specials and a wide variety of choices. The staff has always been nice and if you go on a Saturday morning, you know you will have a wait. It’s busy with good reason and it is not the cheapest place in town for the same reason. If you want scrambled eggs and toast, fast and cheap, try a Coney Island. This is the place to take the family. Solid 4 star

Food was okay but not great! Service took forever and the staff wasn’t very friendly. Just because your busy doesn’t mean you have to be short and rude with customer. Also the restaurant was very dirty! Floors, chairs, tables and the condiment items on table all filthy! Not sure why it’s so busy very disappointed!

Fantastic food and friendly atmosphere. It’s the best breakfast place on the East Side of the Metro area. It’s s little pricier than most places, but the staff is quick and courteous and the food sells itself. Great daily specials, and lots of food for the price. There is almost always a wait, though, as the place is very popular, especially on weekends. Love the pancakes here, of course!

Omlettes aren’t fresh, as a matter of fact all pre cooked and taste absolutely horrible. Like mentioned above hashbrowns do not come with any omelettes. Services sucks, what else is new. I wouldn’t even give them a star but I guess I’m feeling generous today

Another Saturday morning and my 7-year old daughter wanted to go to IHOP – now she’s never been to one but the commercials peaked her interest. So the nearest IHOP was getting a Unilocal rating of ONE, so I searched Unilocal and found Pancake Factory(4 stars). What an experience! Quick attentive service in a well-kept, nicely appointed inviting eatery. Then there’s the breakfast menu: Crepes, specialty pancakes; exotic and family pride and joy favorites. EVERY plate that past our table looked like a work of art. Portions were generous and never a lapse in coffee refills. Goodbye IHOP. Hello Pancake Factory!

OMG. I think I found my new favorite breakfast place. I came around 1 for brunch. The place was crowded, but I didn’t have to wait for a table. The service was very prompt. My server was so nice. She made me feel like a regular. I ordered the Duxells Omelette special. Its a 3 egg baked omelette with mushrooms, onions, and garlic. I added Gouda cheese to take my omelette over the top. It was so savory and fresh. The mushrooms was finely diced. Im a pure carnivore, but I didn’t miss the meat. Plus it came with pancakes. They were so fresh and soft. It gave me life. I can’t wait to come back. I brought my aunt from Saginaw who is very particular. She cleaned her plate off. She had the flapjacks. I’m drooling just writing this review.

As with most breakfast places, and even more specifically on the weekends, this place is packed and is the only bad thing I could say about coming. But that’s a pretty good problem to have, as it usually means the food is fantastic, and that is exactly how the food is here. What’s convenient, however, is the call-ahead procedure. Not quite a reservation, but if you call before coming and they are on a wait, they can jot your name down, which can drastically cut your wait time upon arrival. More places should do this! That aside, let’s get to the grub. The Apple Pancake is SO good. I’ve had it at a few different places, and this is surely one of the best. Do you have to wait to get it longer than other items? Sure. Should that dissuade you? Hell to the no! Many people come here after church, but I find God in every bite of that fantastically prepared dish. Also great is the staff. Young pretty girls willing to serve me food? You know I’m there y’all! What’s more is the clientele is great too. Listen, I hate kids more than most people know(try working with them 50+ hrs. a week for over 24 yrs.), and it sucks to get sat next to the«kid table.» You know the one I’m talking about-the mother seemingly has a cavernous vagina where the kids just materialize year after year, and the father has a shoot me in the fucking face look in his eye. Yea, that BLOWS when you get stuck next to that table. But there are two surefire ways against it. 1. Get a carry out; and, 2. Get there on the bright. Early enough where the only spirit those loud kids are breaking is their parents’. Instead of dealing with somebody’s crying kid, go eat at this place and cry your own tears of joy!

This is by far one of my most favorite breakfast spots ever. Comparable to The Pantry, Pancake Factory has baked German pancakes with all types of fillings and your usual eggs, meat, and potatoes. They’ve also got weekly specials. The staff are always friendly and the food comes out at a decent time. Now that it’s cold out, I love sitting across from their fireplace. Every other Sunday, my coworkers and I come here after work and will continue to do so!

One of the busiest brunch places in the Macomb/Shelby area. However, this does not deter from the customer service! Amazing variety of waffles, pancakes, omelets… my favorite are their crepes, served with homemade whipping cream. All their staff is experienced with busy mornings/afternoons, so I’ve never had a bad experience with their customer service. Decent coffee, they also sell bags of their own Pancake House coffee.

Nothing bad to say about this restaurant. There is a huge selection of food, not just breakfast. My brother had the banana split waffle. And I had the old fashion apple pancake. This is a german style pancakes with cinnamon, brown sugar and butter baked in. Not just put on top. And if that isn’t good enough, they can add cinnamon ice cream, yes I said cinnamon ice cream(to die for) and whipped topping on it! It is like eating apple pie al a mode. The servers were very nice. The restaurant has a nice selection of booths and tables. They also have an attached room they call the patio. It looks like they can open the windows in there if they want. It is something like The Pantry. But we both thought the food was much better. I can’t wait to go back!
