I was excited to see something new and not pizza listed in the available restaurants in my area. I thought I would give it a try. I would be inclined to pass it all off as new business glitches and try them again but there were several of them and so that makes it harder to say I would try again. First the eat24 app messaged me to say the order would arrive around 3:25pm It didn’t arrive until 3:45. That is not that big of a deal but it is were this tale begins. I ordered 3 sandwiches to give me an overview of what they have, so I could write a fair review, and have lunch for the rest of the week. I tasted everything today so the review is based on the fresh sandwich. 2 of the sandwiches I was offered a choice between chips and potato salad. I selected chips I did not receive any chips. I ordered the California as a wrap it was not wrapped properly and as I pulled the wrap out of the bag half of the wrap fell out of the paper and onto the floor. The smaller sandwiches on rolls were wrapped in larger pieces of paper and were fine. I also ordered a piña colada smoothie. The coconut was vast and in larger enough pieces that the smoothie needed to be chewed. The straw for the smoothie was in the bag when it arrived and was crunched down and had been stapled through. The straw was long enough that a little trim solved the problem without making the straw too short to use. What is lacking here is an attention to details. Missing chips stapled straw improperly wrapped wrap are all cause by someone not paying attention to what they are doing or they are not trained in how to do their job properly. Not having two bags of chips is not a huge issue but to be fair the chips are not free, their cost is worked into the price of the sandwich and it would have been nice to have with one of the sandwich halves at lunch tomorrow. So it is a disappointment. Not the best first impression a place could make. Now to the food. I ordered a California on spinach wrap. It was fine, well except for the hitting the floor thing, The description says«Fresh roasted turkey, bacon, crisp lettuce, tomato, avocado, and Swiss cheese in a gourmet spinach herb tortilla.» That is exactly what it was. All rather bland ingredients, no spices, herbs, or sauces to brighten or enhance any of the flavors. It wasn’t bad it also wasn’t spectacular. It was a fine wrap worth the money. There wasn’t anything special about it. I also had The Cubano Sandwich«Roasted pork with ham, avocado and pickles.» Good crisp pickle gave the sandwich some crisp and texture. The pork was a bit dry but again a ranking of fine describes this sandwich. I would eat it again but I won’t be raving to my friends, or you, that you have to run out and try this. Saved the best for last The Roasted Turkey and melted cheddar sandwich. «With lettuce, tomato and spicy cajun mayo» I have to say what saved this sandwich was the mayo. I am not a mayo fan but I don’t mind it on turkey. The spiciness of this mayo was spot on. A bit of heat without going over the top added to the flavor and the moistness of the sandwich without overwhelming the other flavors. The man who delivered the food seemed a cheerful chap. In case you are wondering this is located in the old Huntington Street Café spot.
