We have ate at this location 10+ times since it opened. All but once, our food has been delicious and the service great. The one visit that was less than perfect wasn’t horrible, perhaps just an off night. This is definitely our go to place in Shelton. The burritos are huge, btw!

This hands down our go-to for large plate Mexican food! Huge portions and really reasonable prices. I wouldn’t call it traditional but still super good! My wife and myself share the Tres Cochintas and can barely finish! Definitely worth a visit!

We’ve been here numerous times. Every visit has been fantastic. The food is abundant and very good. The owner/hostess is great. Not a cheap dinner but not too expensive, well worth it!

Very fast and friendly service, nice atmosphere and décor, it’s always very clean and the food is delicious. They bring you chips and salsa with free refills if you ask. I always order the chicken enchiladas either verde sauce, it’s my favorite. My plate and food are piping hot and piled high. The verde sauce has a great tomatillo tang. The shredded chicken in the enchiladas is high quality, all white meat, cooked perfectly and very juicy, not dry or stringy. Plenty of meat, good meat/cheese ratio. Couldn’t ask more from a Mexican restaurant this far north of Mexico.

The staff is very friendly and the food comes out quickly but the salsa tastes like pizza sauce with jalapeños and the same with the enchilada sauce. The chicken soft tacos I got were tasty though, but not enough to come back unfortunately.

Great food and friendly staff. The food is authentic and served hot. I have eaten there three times, every thing has been delicious. This time I waited less than 10 minutes to be served.

I can’t understand why a new restaurant would want to damage their reputation with bad food. The tamale I ordered off the dinner menu was obviously some frozen or canned thing with canned red sauce, and the rice was extremely greasy, and the refries were cold. No garnish, no cheese, not even a shred of lettuce. The worst Mexican food I’ve ever had, and I’ve had some really bad stuff. But this I wouldn’t even feed my dog.

We went for lunch and though the food was OK the service was terrible. Wasn’t checked on once after getting food. Had to finally ask for the check. I got a $ 6.99 lunch and a pop and it was almost to $ 11…huh? When I asked how much the soda was the man stared at me like I was from mars. There are better Mexican restaurants in Shelton.

This place is really good. The food was awsome. I forgot to take a picture, next time. I will be going back very soon. The even have a bar with the NFL network on the big screen.

We came in for a weekday lunch and were pleasantly surprised by both the quality of the food and the atmosphere. There was an extensive lunch menu which allowed you to pick your filling — chicken, adobada, carne asada, carnitas, chile verde, etc. I would have never known the building had been a fast food restaurant in a previous life. The interior was nicely decorated in, of course, a Mexican theme. Our waitress was very nice and our food arrived fresh and hot from the kitchen. I ordered my chimichanga with carnitas which was very tasty. There are booths but also tables that can be arranged to accommodate larger groups. We’ll be back!

Me and wife ate here for the second time yesterday. The first time I had the Filete campestre, and I really liked it. Yesterday I ordered it again with no rice or jalapenos. I was brought a plate with meat, sauce, and beans. I asked the waiter/owner«doesn’t it come with guacamole and pico de Gallo». He replied no it does not. So I ordered some sour cream to go with it. Today I found their menu online and sure enough I was right, so he lied to me. Too bad for him as we will never go back. Never had that happen at 2 margaritas.

Came from Bremerton We loved this place! 40 $ for 3 plates of food plus drinks. Chips and salsa for the table were themed for football, my son loved it! Didn’t give 5* because no place is perfect, small booths, food took a little long but totally worth it! Food wasn’t too spicy or over/under seasoned. WEWILLBEBACKFORMORE!

My husband and I ate lunch today at this incredible restaurant and we will definitely be back as often as possible. Elena was very attentive and the food is quite possibly the best Mexican food I’ve ever eaten. My husband raved about the chicken mole and he ate several bowls of the mushroom salsa! I ordered a combo and I ate my fill and still had food left over. The atmosphere was welcoming and you can’t beat watching soccer while eating outstanding food. Definitely 5 stars! I’d give it 10 stars if I could :-)

I do wish Unilocal allowed us to give half-stars, because 3 tends to lead people to believe a restaurant isn’t worth going to. I think if you’re going for a family meal, or have children in your party, you should definitely check this place out. For a couples-meal, or as a place to go with friends for drinks, I wouldn’t necessarily say this is the best place to go. It used to be a KFC, and while they have done a lot of work to the inside of the place, all that BRIGHT fluorescent track lighting still remains. The floor plan is also very open, and the booths are low, so you don’t really feel isolated within your own party. Additionally, the cash register is in the middle of the dining area, and happened to be attached to our booth. This lead to a lot of people literally leaning into our area to pay their bills, get toothpicks, etc. It was fairly irritating. The service was very, very nice and attentive. It took about 15 minuted to get the margaritas we ordered when we first sat down, which seems a little long to me. They were good though, and I would say middle of the road as far as potency goes.(The other Mexican place in town makes them pretty strong and cheaper, so go there if you’re just looking to catch a buzz fast.) Food took about 25 minutes to come out after we ordered, which also seems a little slow for the amount of people in the place. The food WAS good though, better than the other similar Mexican place in town for sure. They have a full bar and lots of menu options. I do recommend this as a family restaurant, but not as a «date» or «hangout restaurant.
