Great place, friendly staff, good food, service is pretty quick although delivery isn’t but that’s understandable… everything is fresh The only thing is sometimes it seems like the staff will almost stand there and watch you. plus side is if you need anything they are right there lol

We ordered lunch today at work from your website. We ordered 3 lunch specials and the order went through successfully. A HALFHOUR later, you called to tell us you dont do lunch specials on weekends. When we asked if you would be kind enough this one time to offer it to us, since we ordered a half hour ago and thought our food would be on its way. you said no and you just opened. Is it our fault that your website doesnt say that you cant place an order till 11:30 or allows you to order lunch specials on a day that you do not choose to offer it? Regardless, we called Dao, they are delivering us the same lunch specials you could have given us, and they were even $ 10 cheaper. You just lost alot of business from all of us here at the salon. Our business, like yours, has customer service as a very important factor and you failed here.

We typically get takeout from here. Sometimes the food is hit or miss depending on what you order. The staff is very polite and helpful and they always get the order right.

We have gotten take-out from Hunan Pan and also recently ate in the restaurant. Their hot & sour soup is delicious — my favorite around here! When we ate at the restaurant, we had the sweet & sour shrimp — it was awesome! We definitely will be getting take-out or eating in again!

Not a fan of their Chinese food. General tsos sauce is extreme thick with an EXTREMELY thick and unappetizing batter around chicken and tofu. Overpriced for how little we got. The staff is very sweet though, my bf said their sushi rolls were good.

Good flavor. Chicken not rubbery like many Chinese restaurants. Their white rice, however, is not the good, sticky type I expect though. Overall you get a good meal.

I’ve ordered takeout and eaten in the restaurant and both times have been delicious! The staff is extremely friendly and always greets customers with a smile. Had I passed this place on the street I probably wouldn’t have gone in, but it is well worth it.

So, this place is pretty good overall when comparing the Sushi landscape in Shelton. The only real rival is Red Lotus, another location I enjoy. I like how fast the service is, everyone is attentive and the rolls are pretty good. NOTE: THISWILLHAPPEN! After you order everything your waiter will ask you an indecipherable question. Just say no. She or he is asking to if you would like to upgrade a roll to the special of the day. The special of the day is always overpriced and nothing spectacular. Still, this place is solid, clean, fast and is tucked away in a nice location.

I go here all the time with friends, it’s cheap, really good, and the staff is super friendly. Their sushi is amazing, as well as miso soup and their veggie pancakes(not on menu at restaurant but on their takeout menu).

We’ve stopped here twice driving back to NYC. They are friendly, the food is great, and the décor is really nice. Both times has been right before closing and they don’t rush us at all. At the same time service is prompt so we get back on the road in no time.

I went back a second time shortly after my last review and found their health inspection posted when I walked in said«Poor». Sadly I won’t be eating there anymore due to that.

I’ve gotten both delivery and carry out from them. It’s always exactly as I order. The owners are very friendly and strive to keep their customers happy. My daughter loves the wonton crisps they serve. I asked for some one time with a carry out order and the owner told me he made them fresh in the restaurant instead of buying them. Maybe that is why they are so good. Haven’t tried the Chinese side of the menu yet. I may have to do that sometime.

Service was top notch right out of the gate — the host was brilliant, the staff attentive and caring, and not enough can be said for complimentary wontons and tea. It was just lovely. Miso soup was good, if a bit salty. Our sushi for two was perfection — nigiri was smaller than usual, but for the better. Accents and garnishes — both for presentation and taste — were the icing on top of an already delicious cake. The kid’s bear was likewise delightful, flavorful, and presented with finesse and care. We’ll be coming back, I’m sure.

Been here plenty of times, always getting sushi. Always leave satisfied. They do up sell a lot and while I am one to never go for that when I’m here I always say yes and I have never regretted it. The service is excellent, even on busy nights. A favorite place to eat in Shelton.

Went here again recently. I ordered the General Tso’s tofu hoping it would have a crispy fried outside. Instead, it fell off of the tofu and was a bit mushy. I decided to not get that for my future visits. Since then, I have been sticking to appetizers and veggie lo mein. All of those are very good. One night we stopped here to get takeout for dinner. The woman at the register saw that I was tired and offered me tea to go. Very nice :)

2.4 stars. A fair rating written by a chick who knows her Chinese food, and who knows prices & portions… This place makes me think immediately of the book by Harvard math grad and author of Fortune Cookie Chronicles. Joe is very kind Fujianese host. I am quite aware of the wave of Chinese joint ownership in the east coast, and how difficult the day in and day out is, not to mention the oft-cited loneliness mentioned in conversation. He is amiable and means well… about this i am sure. With all good intention, friendliness, and way overeager and bit hovering extra waitstaff, we experienced a camping experience kind of cloying Chinese dinner. Oh what do I mean… imagine driving into the woods, and accidentally running into a Chinese joint that looks like a camping cabin. Welcome… you have found the place off the road close to where all the auto dealerships are. Extremely dark inside. I get it; save electricity… but then, why is there a big aquarium and large flat screen on? Beyond that it is difficult to locate, this place is so confused! The menus are truly from about 20 yrs back. They still serve dishes garnished with carrot-cut flowers!!! Chinese food with lots of dark, sticky, sweet, oily sauces. I feel awful that I cannot swing from the treetops and sing its praises. But, honestly, after a $ 45 dinner, ordering 3 sub-par mediocre dishes, we felt seriously ripped off. I must say, though, the shrimp were cooked correctly, as were the 3 scallops. But, lack of caramelization, and the sauces… sigh. This place has a sushi bar inside of an extremely dated interior. It’s cavernous compared to the sit-down patrons. A bar is located in the back of the room. All too confusing for me. & those prices…$ 14 – 18 an entrée? PS never thought i would hear Taiwanese Jay Chou overhead on the speakers. Last time this singer surprised me was in concert on the Wynn bathroom television!
