Worst meal I’ve had — waitress very inexperienced. Ordered soup as an appetizer waitress brought the soup– no spoons. Says oops — I’ll get the spoons be right back. Instead of getting spoons so we can eat our soup hot, stops at table behind us to take a lengthy order then goes on to another table to take an order. As she goes to 2nd table, I get up and go to the service area and asked for spoons. After a length wait. –she stops by the table and tells us the dinner will be out soon, the grill is behind. Finally brings out dinner, does not ask us to check if steak if cooked to our direction, drops and leaves. Cut into the steak, my husband is too rare to eat and mine in med rare — requested well done. Comes to the table while we still have full plates, asks if we want desert– tell her no — so she leaves the check and says she’ll be back — no rush. Comes by to pick up plates, taps on the bill holder OMG then says -‘is this ready yet? Obviously very little training, supervision and definite, yo lack of management and service. If you want a good meal out, avoid this location

My husband and I went to Outback for our date night. At first the service was great as always. Our server Zach took our drink order and appetizer order. When he returned we had looked over menu and were ready to order our entrees. My husband ordered the full rack of BBQ ribs and I ordered my favorite Victorian Filet. When the food came out it turned into horror. My steak was over half nothing but pure fat that looked like it had been nuked in the microwave and put on my plate and my husbands ribs while hot on the surface were still frozen in the middle. When the server came back around I respectfully let him know that this was unacceptable. He took our plates from the table and stated that he would get it fixed right away. About 5 minutes the later the manager Jason came to the table and offered us salads and soup until the meal came instead of offering to comp the meal. Once the meal did arrive take two my steak was still nothing but half fat… thank god for steamed broccoli and wedge salad or i would have starved. My husbands ribs were hot however all the way through though. My husband and I thinking okay manager came over spoke with stated that he would get some soup or salad and take care of the bill. Well we finished what we could and thinking that all we would be responsible for was our order of cheese fries for appetizer and our waters we were horrified when the server put our tab on the table and it was not at all what we were expecting. They charged us full price for our lousy meal. I ended up coming home and making myself some dinner so that I would not have hunger pains. I do not know if or when we will ever return to Outback this was by far the worst experience we have ever had at Outback. I will take my business elsewhere.

Terrible food and service I will never go back to any outback steak house ever again. The filet mignon was the exact opposite of tender. Not impressed with any other items on the menu. Don’t waste your time or money here.

We’ve been coming here for years, at least 6 or more times per year. For some reason it’s been over 4 months since our last visit, and unfortunately every thing our group ordered was nowhere near as good as they have been. The chicken tortilla soup, one of my go to starters, had a major recipe change. Perhaps some would like it but my wife and I hated it. The chopped salad dressing changed for the worse as well. The picture of the new chicken Marsala dish showed it with a lot of sauce and mushrooms but it came out with little sauce and one mushroom. The chicken was tough as well. The steak medallions used to come with a nice side of tasty rice. It now comes with a bland side of brown rice. The server said that was changed by corporate. I got the prime rib dip sandwich. The roll was about the total size of a hot dog bun with very little meat. We all were very disappointed. Our 10+ year history with Outback has died with a sigh of disappointment. I need to state that our server knew we were all not happy and she did the very best she could to make our experience as good as she could.

Seated at the bar area, our bartender was Britney, she was friendly and knowledgeable with the specials. The food was hot, fresh and came out quickly. We ordered the house salad with ranch, bloomin’ pedals and coconut shrimp.

sub par food, sub par service, it’s all just sub par. not worth it if you have other options but if everywhere else is on a wait it’s a viable option.

We ordered a bunch of takeout, as we had a gift certificate. I didn’t have extremely high expectations, but even those were not met. Here is a rundown of what we ordered and my thoughts on each item: Bloomin’ Onion: was most excited for this, it’s their staple! It was really soggy unfortunately. Maybe that’s because it was takeout. Ribeye Sandwich: my husband liked this okay, but I thought it was really chewy. Also, it was supposed to come with french fries, but they didn’t give them to us. Chicken wings: no flavor at all, they were breaded(wings shouldn’t be breaded IMO), and not very crispy. We ordered them spicy, but they weren’t at all. Chicken strips: chicken strips are impossible to mess up, right? Sort of. They were way over-fried and the batter was hard. Also, the fries that sat under them were soggy and thin. They came with a side of mushrooms which were labeled ‘packed on: 1/11, expire on 1/14″, we were given them on 1⁄14 … I’m not too weird about that, but still, obviously not the freshest. This reminded me why I prefer to eat local!

I’ve always been an Outback fan but sometimes the food/service can vary from one location to anoher in a negative way. However this location was on top of their game as far as food and service goes. Mercedes was our server and she was very nice, kept our drinks full and checked on us periodically to make sure we didn’t need anything. We ordered a Bloomin Onion and the Cheese fries as our appetizers that came out in no time and they were both delicious. Then our salads came out with just the right amount of their delicious House Ranch dressing. Everything came out perfectly timed and everything was delicious. There were four of us, we all ordered sirloins and every single one was cooked perfectly and seasoned just right. This is definitely the best location I’ve been to as far as food and service goes.

I like to start reviews off with some positives: 1. Our server(Mark?) was energetic and earnestly tried to make our meal pleasant. 2. Let’s see… Well, the table didn’t shake, so that’s a positive. For business travelers, Outback is normally a solid choice. I’ve been to at least 20 different Outbacks, and you can usually count on decent steaks and consistent levels of service. Unfortunately, this experience was far from the norm. We ordered the bone-in ribeye(me) and the Victoria’s filet with shrimp(wife) with salads. The salads came out promptly with our beer and things got off to a great start. The +40 minute wait for the entrees is when things went downhill. The food eventually came out and the entrees and sides were cold. I don’t mean«not hot», I mean toilet-bowl cold. When a manager finally came by to ask how much we were enjoying our experience, we expressed our concern over the food; he smiled and stated«let me slide those back on the grill for you.» His wide grin told us that he regarded this to be a five-star response to our concerns, so he naturally didn’t wait around for any feedback when he brought back our entrees, fresh from the microwave. Nothing like twice-nuked broccoli to cleanse the palate! My wife’s filet wasn’t awful, but the shrimp may have been made from gelatin, and to be honest, I didn’t know shrimp could come that small… perhaps baby shrimp drowning in garlic butter is an Australian delicacy? My bone-in ribeye was, according to our server when we ordered our meal, as good or better than a Fleming’s ribeye. Now I truly didn’t expect that; like I said, I know what to expect from the Outback chain. Yet I was rather surprised to receive something that tasted like a rump roast fresh off the Golden Corral buffet line. The sear marks were nice, however, and the seasoning helped to abate the tenderness of the steak, which I would rate somewhere between ‘rawhide’ and ‘tennis shoe’. Another manager stopped by at this point, and she asked how we were enjoying our meal. When we very nicely expressed our meager concerns, she didn’t miss a beat in offering a dessert for us to share. While this isn’t quite the concession I expected(waiting another 40 minutes for more bad food isn’t a good resolution), we kindly told her«thanks, but no thanks», and bid her farewell. We could tell she had other issues to contend with, as it was becoming glaringly obvious that many other tables were just as unhappy. We wish her the best of luck, and hope her evening eventually becomes less stressful.

Wow! The once hard to get a table steakhouse has apparently been reduced to buying their baked potatoes from the same miniature farm of lilapution farmers that Red Lobster gets there’s. Can you say potato the size of a small dinner roll? Though I don’t know what actually happen; after joking with the bartender about how small the portions are and telling her their baked potato resembled Red Lobster(she laughed and said she knew what I meant). They brought me a second potato. No charge, claimed it was mess up in the kitchen. Oh no!!! I just ate it. It tasted and looked fine but did they spit… Or worse? I genuinely think the staff is first rate. They just all give me the impression that Corpoarate Outback is economizing instead of providing the first rate food(portions) in the price range which it dominated just a few years ago.

Had dinner here on Saturday night with the Mrs. As always the atmosphere was great and the folks running the place were very attentive and friendly. The pricing is very reasonable for an affordable solid steak dinner. We had a few service mistakes this particular evening but overall I felt they did a good job making up for it. As always the Ahi appetizer was great. I also had the cup of Potato soup which I also thought was outstanding. We each had small Rib Eyes and the steaks were good for the value. The sides are always solid. Unfortunately the bread was burnt and dry but that seems a rarity to me. Lastly the crisp for dessert was quite good but not worth a second try for me. One thing to note, their menu is excellent and they list the average calories for each dish. I do wish every restaurant would do the same.

NEWANDIMPROVED I have been here before and the overall place seemed a little shaky but upon my most current visit I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed. I was greeted by some well kept hostesses that not only opened the door for me but wee extremely professional. They showed me the way to the table my family was at and I was quickly asked my drink order. The waitress was extremely patient with my senile father which is a very big deal. It takes the patience of a saint for the man but he means well… sometimes. Back on track, we all got some steak like product that was on the menu. We did have the awesome blossom for an appetizer but that wasn’t really my thing but my family loved that orchid of cardiac arrest. When our steaks came out I crossed my fingers. Nothing turns me off faster than an over cook steak. I’d rather have it undercooked because at least that’s fixable. Over done means they have to make you a new steak. But my steak came out bloody just how I like it. For my family the temperature came out perfectly as well. When the waitress found out it was my dads birthday she didn’t insist on singing. We Kendricks hate that shit. The singing is usually out of tune and makes blood run from my ears. We just want the free dessert. The General manager [Jason] came by and was very charming. He made us feel welcome and I as a customer felt appreciated. We will definitely be back and all of you should bring your business here. This place has changed after(what I’m guessing) is new management.

Outback in Shenandoah continues to go down hill ! Last time we where there we had terrible steaks. This time we didn’t get our salads or bread, after waiting without the server even checking on us, they bring us cold steak and ribs. Manager came out and doesn’t even offer to redo the meal, only says she is sorry. She was in lala land, so we just got up and left !! We have given this place many chances and it is a third tier steak house ! Won’t be back !!!

Our waitress was good, but that doesn’t mean much when we ordered our entrée, drinks and appetizer through the tablet at our table. The food we got was okay, the drinks were delicious but couldn’t taste a hint of alcohol. And the bill was overpriced for an Australian Chili’s type of restaurant.

This place is very inconsistent. I have been here twice in a week since it is conveniently next to the hotel. I ordered the same thing twice, and got one steak below rare and one well done, and I ordered Medium-Rare. At least the server was nice or I would give 1 star.

I would give less if i could. We have been here before hence our return only to be let down. First time was 3 ½ stars food was pretty good but the wait staff is lacking. No different this time only whoever was cooking a few weeks ago was not there today. Mediocre food at best. Baby portions. Not near as good. The part that dropped the two stars they earned to one would be the giant party of noisy individuals that were parked in front of us. Not only the unpleasantness of that but they came equipped with small child and portable DVD player on full volume. We will not return until the building has been sold and then replaced with a mexican food place. Lastly a steakhouse that offers only 4 cuts of steak. Come on.

I have been a frequent flyer at this outback for a long time! It’s been just ok meaning every other visit they would get our food right. However after Saturdays visit I won’t step back in there! Basically on Saturday my family of 5 and our best friends a fam of 3 went to the circus and ended running into there old high school friend which was a fam of 5 including a baby! Long story short we all decided to go to this outback after the show. We get to the restaurant and the hostess girls immediately are rude and asked if we had reservations… I said no and that we didn’t even plan on all being together but it was a spur of the moment thing and honestly they weren’t even busy! She stated It could be a 2 hour wait for all of us but she would go ask her manager after making a big deal about it. They finally found us a seat and by then my poor friends head was splitting! Our waiter ended up completely forgetting to put in my sons and my husbands order! How embarrassing that we all had our food and they had to watch us eat. Then when they finally brought my husbands meal out it had like 5 – 6 fries with his ribs… I mean really??? He didn’t even order fries it was the rice pilaf but he was starving and didn’t want to cause a scene with our friends… So i gave him half my burger! Then when we get our check they charged me for a soda because the waiter put my sons drink in a glass instead of a kids cup! The food was dry and NOT worth our $ 50 we will never be out backers again!

Unprofessional greeters. Weirdly large tables for six or uncomfortably small tables for two. The lighting is so dark that one day I will miss my place and stick a fork in the table. Despite all of this, I will return again and again for their filet and lobster combo. Outback is my top pick out of the chain steak restaurants. If you can get past the group of pointless greeters opening the doors without smiles, enjoy your delicious — but tiny — lobster tail.

We had not been to outback in over a year but found ourselves in the mood for it a couple of weeks ago. We where very surprised when we looked at the menu, their prices increased by about $ 2 – 3, ok no problem. Except for the fact that the portions are smaller and our dishes come with only 1 side now(and a salad) which it used to be 2 sides and no salad. The green beans are not the delicious green beans we remember from before, they where not very seasoned and bland. My chicken on the Barbie was small, dry and tough. My wife’s sirloin was small, dry, and tasteless. The mashed potatoes where OK I guess, that was the highlight of our dinner. They now use these very cramped small fancy wanna-b plates which helped their transition to smaller portions no doubt. Overall we are EXTREMELEY disappointed and we will not be dining at any outback again, not with the plethora of dining options around the area. Outback needs to step it up or they’re going to burn out.
