YES! they DO have cupcakes. ill admit, the grill and cupcake combo is a bit strange but hey, who cares right? the first cupcake i enjoyed was their Strawberry Shortcut cupcake which was TODIE for. seriously. i was in heaven. the next day i went in and decided on the Lemon Meringue… it was definitely a tasty treat, for about 2 bites and then it was just waaayyy to sweet to eat. im dead set on having the Vanilla Vice and the Tiramisu along with the Red Velvet, so obviously, i would eat here again. :)

This is the worst cupcake I’ve ever tasted. Seriously! I cringe at the memory of my first bite. The first cupcake I tried was the red velvet and I can’t believe how unpleasant and dry it tasted. First of all the frosting tasted like it is made of lard/margarine. It has an off chemical taste and bad, greasy texture. Can we say hydrogenated oil? The cupcake itself was bland, dry and I can taste the food coloring/chemical that was in it. Gross! I was immediately put off after my first bite and refused to eat the other cupcakes flavor that the boyfriend bought.

Just wanted to give these guys some love. My co-workers and I were hesitant to try the place out because were not razzle dazzled by the previous establishment Puddin Out Cupcakes — borderline offended actually. But we had grown tired of all the local luncheries and went out on a limb, tried it out. We’ve been back probably three or four times. An interesting concept — quickly grilled meat or falafel, combined with your choice of vegetables and presented in flatbread, salad or sandwich form. You can assembled a hearty yet healthy meal and it’s competitively priced, eve compared to something like subway. Also give their«puffs» a try. Flaky pastries with different fillings. I had the spinach and cheese, very well done. Although it didn’t quite live up to the billing on the menu which claims that the puffs are one of life’s greatest pleasures. Pretty much a direct quote. And yes, they still have cupcakes.

I was happily surprised to find out that the incredibly mediocre and somewhat sketch«Puddin’ Out Cupcakes» had been replaced with Grill Works Cupcake Co. Grill and cupcakes. A bit like Sesame Street(«One of these things is not like the other…») but I was intrigued. We decided to give it a whirl one weekend for lunch. The décor is an improvement from what Puddin’ Out was-sleek and more contemporary. I only compare Grill Works to Puddin’ Out, because it’s obvious that it’s the same owner — different concept. All of the cupcakes are the exact same flavors and silly names(Vanilla Vice, Plush Red Velvet, etc) but at least the cupcake aesthetics had also been improved. I noticed and appreciated the tiny details — like typed/printed cupcake flavor signs instead of the janky handwritten ones they used to have. We tried two flatbread wrap/sandwiches — one beef and one chicken. We were also given the choice of slaws, veggies, and sauces to go on top. The slaws were fresh and tasty and the spicy chipotle sauce was perfect with my chicken wrap! We also tried the parmesan garlic fries — thick cut tossed with garlic salt and parmesan you find in a green shake-y can… totally bland but oh well. The flatbread wraps were really quite tasty even though it was obvious that the meat was not the best of quality. The service was really great — helpful, attentive and he was full of lovely suggestions. Because I am a cupcake freak, we ordered some desserts(just in case they revamped their recipes too.) I ordered a Cookies n’ Cream cupcake — it was far better than I remember Puddin’ Out being… but i still could not taste a quality of ingredients that would merit the $ 2.50-ish price tag. Basically, it was a better version of the ones at the grocery store. Also tried the coconut cream pie — very weird and I do not recommend. Pie crust full of artificially flavored coconut whipped cream. I just wish the owners would understand the importance of quality ingredients, especially when trying to sell cupcakes for more than 99 cents. All in all, I’d definitely go back for a quick, cheap lunch and a cupcake fix for when I’m in a pinch.

This place is definitely worth checking out. The menu has a variety of flatbread sandwiches and they’re so affordable that you can try several different types of meats(vegetarian options too) without breaking the bank. Really flavorful and tasty. You *MUST* order the fries here — they are the best I’ve had in a long time. To top if off, they also have a large variety of cupcakes for dessert, which are really moist and not-to-sugary. I got the Oreo cupcake the first time I went there and loved it, but I’ve been back for the Red Velvet and Tiramisu cupcakes. This place is now in my regular rotation for lunch, and so tasty that I stop by on the weekends too!

The first time I went here I tried the fish flatbread, healthy plate with beef, lamb and chicken and the Parmesan fries. All the meats and fish are ground and grilled. I didn’t care for the fish but the lamb and beef were delicious. The salad that came with the healthy plate was very tasty as well. Great value for great food. I went here again today around 5:30p and it was empty. I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes and I called out a few times but no one ever came out to take my order so I left. sad.

Went here with friends because we thought it was a cupcake store… but it turned out to be a grill/cupcake store. Odd combination, and we entered with trepidation, but were determined to eat desserts. Immediately inside the door is a big case of cupcakes, but then behind that are grills, and the menu board lists various Mediterranean-style foods, as well as pommes frites. Strange juxtaposition for sure. The workers were busy assembling a large box of cupcakes for a customer, and took a minute to tend to us; we also had to remind them that they hadn’t given us two of our four cupcakes. They offered to set up a tab for us, and so we wasted no time in shoving the cupcakes in our mouths. The tiramisu cupcake was DELICIOUS, the frosting was soft and gooey and perfect, and the coffee cream filling was excellent. The three of us voted it hands-down as our favorite, and the worker who asked us how we liked everything said that it’s a favorite overall. The peanut butter/chocolate cupcake was good too, they’d hit on a perfect PB frosting that wasn’t too sweet, too rich, or too oily(pretty gooey, though), and we were scraping it off the plate with our fingers. I would have liked a little more chocolate flavor in the cake. On the other hand, the vanilla cupcake, we were told, is a «kid’s cupcake,» but that doesn’t mean it should’ve been as bland as it was. The cake was a bit dry. The key lime cupcake was awful, it tasted like lemon furniture polish. I wanted something not sweet afterward, so we got an order of garlic fries, which was bigger than I’d expected. Piping hot and tasting like fresh garlic, they were good with ketchup or plain, and even the friend who thought she’d only have a couple couldn’t resist. I’d give Grill Works and Cupcake Co. a very high three; I’d like to taste more cupcakes, and I plan to next time I’m out there. I’d also like to try one of their vegetarian flatbreads — I have no idea how they keep their prices so low, but I want to try the food before prices go up!

Went there today with my adult daughter. Loved it … Very clean, friendly, tasty and cheap, what more can you ask for !! Small portions, but because of that you can order 2 – 3 different ones. Definitely recommend and definitely will go back

I went there for the«flats,» and was pleasantly surprised that there were cupcakes too! So after I had my lamb on flat, which is technically a mid-eastern taco, I had a red velvet cupcake. I know, quirky combo, but it worked out for me. But back to the mid-eastern taco. There’s a Korean taco that’s hit the food-trend circuit, but this mid-eastern taco takes the cake. It’s healthy, light, and I don’t feel comatose after I’ve had a few. They also sell these«stuffed puffs» that are great to take out. They have a spinach & feta, potato and meat. The beef is my fave. It’s a small place, but it’s clean, contemporary and the customer service is excellent. The two dudes behind the counter accommodate you to boot. They deliver on the bigger orders too, and I was actually really glad that they can customize cupcakes for special occasions. My office did a Fourth of July function, and Grill Works was able to make special red, white and blue cupcakes. They were a hit. It’s definitely worth checking out. =)

I noticed this cute spot and decided to drop in. They serve what appears to be like Mediterranean tacos using flatbread with grilled, flavorful meat(chicken, beef, lamb, fish) or veggies. Garlic fries were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and honestly the best I’ve had. Will be trying the Parmesan fries next. They also serve salads with the meat for health conscious diners. Small menu but items bursting with flavors. Can’t forget the cupcakes! Their menu offers an abundant variation but only several are available. If you want a specific flavor, you can special order. But the flavors they have on hand are wonderful and enjoyable. The owners were behind the counter running the place and I asked them if they deliver because I work in a nearby building. They said deliveries are available for large orders so I think that’s awesome for the nearby offices. Must try this place — great food for very reasonable prices!

What used to be the sad«Puddin’ Out Cupcakes» location has transformed into«Grill Works & Cupcake Co.» The odd combination of grilled meats and sweet cupcakes is still lost on me but the food is good and affordable. The cupcakes aren’t too expensive but I can do without the pudding inside each cupcake. You can choose from a variety of flatbread sandwiches(chicken, lamb, fish, beef, veggie) all under $ 3 bucks. Great place for lunch.
