so… im about to give a scathing review of a place i go to at least 4 times a week for the pleasure of horrible service and insanley overpriced everything! I AM BY FAR WITHOUT A DOUBT THIER BEST CUSTOMER. I DRINK AND ENTERTAIN A LOT!
Ive been a regular for 17 YEARS!!!
i frequent it because im basically across the street from it without car (carbon footprint guy).
the owner (marie…although i know her given name) is just hellbent on money!
She owns the whole minimart lot there BTW and all of her tenants hate her.
As Max P said, most things are expired! I bought some pudding there that was SHREK themed wayyy after the movie. stupid me bought it anyways… it was coagulated and just made you gag when u opened it. I brought it back and they tried to say i didnt get it there! DUH!!! There are 6 more on your shelf!
Can you imagine? i WENT A TOOK EVERY ONE OF THEM AND OPENED THEM AND SAID NOW YOU CANT SELL THESE TO INNOCENT people!
Anyways, one time I’de had enough for 20,000 reasons and said no more!
I grabbed 4 bottles of the piss they call wine and told them «Tell Mary She owes me 50 $ for these»! And walked oout. yep I stole 4 bottles of wine.
I then banned them for 5 years IN FAVOR OF GUS AT EAGLE LIQUOR ON KESTER AND MAGNOLIA and EDDIE AT YM LIQUOR ON SEPULVEDA JUST NORTH OF BURBANK!
Alas Im back, and Mary gave me a sour look knowing i absconded with 4 bottles of wine in protest of thier assy-​ness! but did she ban me!!!
Hell no! her money maker was back! i dont steal stuff but if i did past tyhat one time i would do it every single day at this store.
i spend 160 $ a week on average at this store…

I have been a long term patron of this place because I live close by. Let me tell you of the troubles here I have had. I will mention the demeanor of the individuals later. First of all, if you were to look down the line of most of the food items there you will be surprised as I was to see most of the dates are expired. This organization buys their food bulk from Cosco (which is fine) but is too cheap to replace the items when needed. My second and more important critique is when I had a friend in town and I purchased rice from this store. What a nice convenience right? Wrong. The rice had hundreds of ants in it. When I took the bag to the store the owners refused to give us a refund! I guess the convenience of this place kept me coming here but always left me with the feeling of why am I coming here?
So when you come to this place and you have the good luck of buying a food item or getting consulted on a nice bottle of wine (which will never happen because the people that work here NEVER HAVE HAD THE WINES THEY WOULD RECOMMEND!!!)
Ignoring all of the above, This is the best case scenario:
The owner will be super aloof and act as if it is an inconvenience when you ask them for help. Then she will drive a $ 60,000.00 Lexus and park it over two spots like an asshole. The whole place starting from her gives off the attitude that you should just give her more money as opposed to treating you like a decent human being.
I also never write Unilocal reviews so hopefully whoever is reading this doesn’t make the same mistakes and avoids this place and goes to the many other liqueur stores that are within a mile.

Great selection of booze. Mexican Coke. Decent snacks. Easy parking. They have a decent selection of cooking items that save me time from going to the Ralph’s or target. I come here at least once a week.

has a great selection of everything. the store has been around forever. a nice neighborhood small business.

Basic liquor store-​beer, liquor, snacks, soda. Decent prices for last minute pick ups, wouldn’t make it my regular go to place since it’s a little pricier than grocery stores and definitely pricier than Bev Mo, but super convenient for last minute pick ups when I forget something.
