Food was disappointing Fairly pricey for the quality. Unprepared Management The first time we came, we tried to order a few dishes; however, they were not available. This is why we came in the first place, so we left. Bad experience with management. The next time we came, we had a Living Social Coupon that was after its period. Management not only disallowed the«promotion» portion of the coupon, they also would not honor the«paid» portion of the coupon! They said take it up with Living Social. We therefore paid the full price for our meal. We called Living Social who said that the restaurant must honor the paid portion. We went back to the restaurant as we essentially had free credit and we wanted to like the place as it is close to our house. They AGAIN would not honor the deal. We got them on the phone with LS and eventually they honored the«paid» portion; however we needed to go here twice and haggle in order for them to honor what we were entitled to. Crazy to think this is the way their management operates. Skip this place and go to the woodman down the street.

Ordered amaze balls which were delicious and spicy! Could be a bit too loud but music was great. Had the white lotus which was a bit watered down but, the blackberry drink was super ;)

I’m so happy to have gained another local spot here in Sherman Oaks, On The Thirty. It’s quite an awesome bar with nice ambiance, dimly lit, and really crowded during peak hours. The food is mainly American, and includes pizza’s, sandwiches, oysters, and unique appetizers. Their happy hour consists of select pizzas, $ 2 off all draft beers, $ 5 wine and small plates, and $ 6 cocktails. I’ve had the oysters, love them and love the presentation. On this particular visit, I ordered the pulled pork and plantain sandwich with the truffle fries… deeeelish. Prices a tad bit high to be a regular spot for lunch tho.

They offer a Sunday brunch and almost every offering says«Eggs Your Way». But, they said they no longer poach eggs. So… Not my way, I guess. The well-done potatoes were soft and greasy. The crab cakes were off. Just bad. The mimosas were juiced down. But… the server was nice and the setting was, too. Plus they comped my bad crab cakes. 3 stars!

3.5 stars… Stopped in for happy hour, but of all days, they don’t have it on Fridays… We won’t let that get us down! Ordered a draft(one of 16 available) and my bride ordered a mule… both were tasty and the mule was extra ginger-fied! We decided on the amaze balls and truffle fries… neither disappointed. The balls were loaded with Potato bacon cheesy goodness, and served with a pesto mayo concoction that was fab. The fries were crispy, and who doesn’t love the taste and feeling of ingesting truffle oil! Ambiance is hip hop butchery and prices are above expectation. This is a fun loud joint that I would come back to on occasion, but on first visit it does not make the list…

Excellent restaurant. Wonderful for Scotch drinkers as they have a great selection of common favorites. Wonderful desserts and the service was pretty good. Fast and effective.

I’ll be clear, my review is based SOLELY on food and ambiance, not service. Overall: Food — 5⁄5 Ambiance — 5⁄5 Parking — 4⁄5 Service — 2⁄5 Came here last night for the first time and parked in the back lot(2 hours free with validation!) and found some seats at the bar for happy hour. The hostess was really friendly, but unfortunately that was the best of the service all night. The bartender was clearly far more interested in others at the bar, because he practically threw menus at us and didn’t greet us or make eye contact. It also took a good 10 minutes before we even had our drink order taken. It was also ridiculously hard to ask for anything else once we placed our order, so we ended up asking one of the bar-backs and he got us waters and eventually brought us our bill too. Definitely should work on their service at the bar. However — we were having a great time and will now focus on the positive elements. Over the course of the evening we had wine, a mule, a beer sampler and all were fantastic, and under $ 5 each! We also got the white truffle fries and the balls of meat, and we were STUFFED! Great portions and really, really good. The fries had ketchup and a spicy dipping sauce which was incredible. Will definitely be back to try the pizzas. Really nice ambiance, dim lighting and a pretty Christmas tree in the front entry.

On the Thirty is great! We got 3 pizzas for 3 people expecting to take some home. We didn’t take any home. They have a good selection of beers too. We also decided to splurge and get the fried oreos. I’ve never seen fried oreos besides at one of those vendors at a fair. Plus they have TVs so you can watch a game if you want to.

I am so glad Unilocal lead me to this spot! Three of us came here on a Wednesday evening for an early happy hour(4:30ish I think). We were lucky to get three chairs together at the bar, I was surprised by how full it was so early in the evening. There are happy hour deals for drinks and food. They offer half off select pizzas and $ 5 deals on wings and other bites. The plates of food are beautifully displayed on wooden boards and everything looked, smelled and tasted delicious. They have a large beer/wine list, there is a free beer taster with your Unilocal check-in! Happy hour drink deals included $/2 off draft beer, $ 5 wine and $ 6 cocktails. There is easy parking for free on nearby streets or meters right out front.

I was so excited to try this place but despite all the amazing reviews, it was just ok. I came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and the ambiance of the place took me by surprise. Super trendy atmosphere with a sort of rustic feel to it. At the center was the bar and a cute chalkboard with the meat and cheese menu that was hand written. We were seated right away and water was brought to the table. The service was okay; out waitress seemed to be in her own world and just wandering around. Off the lunch menu we ordered: salty eggs, amaze balls, the Italian sandwich, and shrimp fettuccine. Upon check in you get one free craft beer taster as well. The salty eggs were a little below average. The eggs were a bit overcooked and the filling was just underwhelming. They are filled with apple smoked bacon, habanero, and dijon garlic crisps. The bacon was not very crispy and the filling of the eggs not very creamy. The presentation was also lacking and the greens that the eggs were served on did not compliment the dish. At two dollars each for three pieces of «deviled eggs» I expected a bit more. The amaze balls were tasty, but I couldn’t help but compare them to the yummy goodness of Porto’s potato balls. This may have been where they got their influence from. The dish was a good size and very flavorful. Though not as amazing as the potato balls in Porto’s this dish was a big ball filled with shaved potato, gruyère cheese, cream cheese, prosciutto, jalapeño, bacon, crused with bread crumbs and served with a few streaks of basil aioli. This may seem like a lot… but it worked. Not super oily, nice crunchy crust and soft and cheesy on the inside. The Italian sandwich was served on an Italian loaf with prosciutto de parma. spicy soppressata, salami, tomato. romaine, pepperoncini, red onion. provolone, and red wine vinaigrette served. The sandwich came with chips but we subbed them for truffle fries instead. The sandwich was served warm and I did enjoy the flavors of the meats. This was a good sized sandwich and the warm bread and salty meats complimented one another very well. The truffle fries were tasty, but a bit soggy. This may be a preference, but I enjoy my fries a bit crispy on the outside, but these fries seemed like they had been soaked in oil. The shrimp fettuccine was served in a big bowl with white wine, garlic, olive oil, cream and big pieces of shrimp(tails on). This dish was comforting but oily. Each bite had a ton of oil dripping off. Though the flavors were there, I was getting the urge to dab the pasta like you would to a slice of extra greasy pasta. I wouldn’t order this again. Overall, On the 30 was an okay place to lunch, but not a place I would frequent. This was disappointing because I’d been wanting to try this place forever. There are public lots right down the street(not free) and for a Saturday afternoon it was quite easy to park. The restaurant is nested between a bunch of other establishments in the heart of Ventura Blvd. I may be back to try some other dishes off the menu.

Another average review for an average place! This is more a chill spot, nothing fancy. Just a nice place to shoot the sh! t without breaking the bank. Wine prices were okay(about $ 10 a glass) but the craft beers were pretty cheap at $ 6 a glass/pint. Here’s what we got: Salty Egg — delicious but kinda pricey at $ 2 each Poutine — pretty good, according to the wife who is Canadian Wings — ask for extra crispy, good size wings, nice flavor The Thirty(pizza) — not bad Lobster Roll — too much lime, not enough mayo/aioli/sauce Grilled Shrimp Spinach Salad — good option for those dieting Mixed Balsamic Goat with Shrimp — pretty good Overall it was a good meal. Service was fast enough and friendly. Ambiance is casual. I think they have live bands at night, on the weekends. Lots of TVs too for sports fans.

I selected this place to meet up with friends only because my husband is obsessed with the number thirty for no particularly good reason. Needless to say, it was more of a novelty selection, so I didn’t have incredibly high expectations, but everything was amazing. My husband got the Mac & Cheese without meat, and I was really glad they were able to accommodate that request. I took a bite and it was delicious. I got a pizza, also really, really good. Food took a while, but I can see why. Definitely made fresh. We ordered dessert because I basically had to try the black magic. Definitely my favorite part of the night. I was so full, but it was just so good. Tons of drinks on tap and local brews in bottles. I was delighted to see so many local choices. The service was fantastic. Environment awesome. I will for sure be back.

Sunday Brunch for a birthday. Our waitress would disappear after she told us she would be around to fill our mimosa carafes. The atmosphere was fun, but not too loud. The restrooms were clean by kind of on the dark side.(Not the best lighting for infamous bathroom pics) The food. It was tasty. I enjoyed my chorizo & eggs but had the greasiest chorizo ever. You’d think they would take the time to drain it like you’re supposed to, but no. They skipped that part. The potatoes were really yummy. I tried the red velvet waffles. These are not great on their own. You have to add the toppings to make them taste great. They were extremely dry. The menu seemed extensive so I’m sure there is something for everyone. I won’t be back, because I don’t live in the area.

Overall a great experience, came here with my dear friend we opted to eat outside on the patio. I did walk in to see the ambience on the inside and I love the look, really cool bar scene tons of tables and stools to sit at the bar. The bathroom is super clean and has a great look to it as well. I can definitely see this place as a nice pick up spot for people or come here with friends or with your gf/bf/husband wife. Anyhow we ordered fries, drinks, the margareita pizza and to top it off dessert the fried oreos. The pizza was good, the buffalo mozarella was so perfect and the sauce tasted delicious. The dessert takes the cake, I wanted to eat more but I was being good at only ate 2. Definitely a shareable item. I wasn’t here long so I don’t really have much more to say but I can definitely see myself coming back and trying more items! 2 thumbs up in my book!

Calling all fellow brunchers! They have bottomless mimosas for $ 15, but it doesn’t include their signature flavors.(BOOO!) Their brunch menu is pricey with a every dish more than $ 10. Not your typical brunch place, they don’t have benedicts on their menu and they can’t cook poached eggs. The waitress even asked what soft scramble was when I asked for it.(Not dogging her, but that was surprising). I think if you have eggs on the menu, you should be able to cook them which ever way. Their champagne was better than places we’ve been to before. Our waitress was dropping the bottles at our table because we were drinking like fish! LOL! When they ran out of champagne, they served us rose which was equally as good. The food was really delicious, flavorful, tasty, etc. They serve big plates and huge portions that we packed more than half our food home. Their pastrami on the poutine fries was tender and fresh! Their fruit is cut in different shapes and sizes(shows how non-lazy they are). I ordered their smoked salmon which was super fresh! I do wish I had some cream cheese or capers with it though. Bacon was extra crispy and not too greasy. Their spicy wings was drenched in sauce(not a bad thing). Their oysters were fresh and it comes with mini tabasco bottles and three sauces. I ordered 2 dozen! Slimy goodness! To end off our feast, we had their red velvet fried Oreos served with vanilla ice cream. The smell alone filled the restaurant. The batter was crispy and not layered on too thick. You’d think it would be super sweet, but it wasn’t! It had the perfect flavor! By far, the best fried Oreos I’ve ever had. Their décor is very modern and hipster. They have outdoor and indoor seating. They only have high top tables, so no high-chairs for the little ones. You’re better off in a booth. They also have a moderate size private room in the back with tvs if you’re looking to host a birthday or any special occasion. I fell in love with this place and would, without a doubt, come here again! My only note to them would be — have poached eggs as an option! HAHA!

We were supposed to go to Black Market Liquor Bar but the world is a crazy place and the surrounding streets were blocked off because of an incident. Glad I got to try this joint — nice outdoor seating atmosphere and delicious food and beer! Raw bar — do it. I usually like eating oyster by itself but the garnishes are worth checking out! Their horseradish is super FRESH and wickedly spicy — if you’re looking for a HUGE kick, look no further. We had an East Coast/West Coast oyster taste test. I’m all for the brinier, saltier West Coast oysters. My cousin favored the meaty East Coast morsels. I forgot the names of the oysters but availability changes anyway! The Roasted Beet — the vinaigrette rocks and the colorful, artful dish presentation was a feast for the eyes. Beautifully balanced, hearty and awesome. The burrata was creamy and had all the right textures on the inside and out — a delish complement to the beets. Fig on Fire pizza — thin crust, very flavorful and totally worth getting Lobster roll — don’t get this. The mayo was watery and runny — they probably should have chilled it but the heat from the lobster melted it or something. Poor execution! The flavor was fine. Truffle fries were unimpressive — didn’t love the fry texture(too grainy). Glad this wasn’t my entrée! Alcoholic root beer is awesome here — add a kick to your root beer float! Service was fine. I’d totally come back to check out their other pizzas and dishes. The small plates menu looks solid and the offerings overall looked interesting enough to come back for more!

I’ve been back twice since the first time when I had so many issues with food being delivered to our table in the kitchen being so behind. But they have more than made up for it I really love on the 30 in fact it’s become one of my regular late-night spots! Last night I was there again because I had reservations downtown and every street that I turn down was closed and I miss my reservation by over a half hour and could not be seated for dinner… needless to say I was not happy! So we headed back over the hill and the great thing On The 30 serves dinner until 12:45 so it really saved us because we were all starving. Last night we had the margarita pizza and instead of the marinara sauce they did it with pesto for us, it was really delicious. and you can’t go there without ordering the truffle fries, they are so good they are evil! There served with a spicy aioli sauce and a rich tomato ketchup. I really enjoy the martinis and other mixed drinks there but I’ve found that sometimes the bartenders are a bit inconsistent with their drinks recipes. Sarah waited on us again, she’s a fantastic server. She’s so sweet and such a pleasure to deal with. The manager also stop by to make sure that everything was great and I really appreciate how well run things were last night. OTT is definitely my go to spot these days in Sherman Oaks!
