Actually very good sushi here, but thats the only good thing. I ordered the spicy tuna roll and there was a lot of tuna and the taste was pure and fresh. Although, one time I got the chicken and rice, never order it. The chicken was all dark meet and all fat. Very gross. It was bland and almost unedible. The cashier is a little grumpy but who wouldn’t be working at a food court. If you come here defiantly have sushi.

When I came here I was kind of expecting mediocre, cheap sushi. I was completely wrong. The lady taking my order was very friendly. She got my food to me very quickly. The California roll was different than others I’ve had. It had a certain tingle of deliciousness that danced around my mouth and made me want to eat more. If I’m ever at this mall again I will definitely eat here!

Suprisingly excellent Sushi — The Volcano Roll here is one of my favorites. The key to getting superb sushi, is to always have them make it fresh on the spot. They will say that they have one made, but I swear there is a difference. Everything is really good I highly recommend this place.

Umm. Yum. I passed it, I wanted it, I bought it, I ate most of it. I would have eaten it all but the reasons were ridiculously large… I mean, yeah I tried to put it all in my mouth and I failed ;) I don’t understand the negative reviews, but then again, I only had the California roll and the Spicy Tuna Tempura… and free miso soup. which I think is now standard for most sushi places… They were super friendly and though I’m not overly picky with sushi, I thoroughly enjoyed it. So umm. Yum. ;)

Staff is super friendly! Entrees were cooked fresh when I ordered them. Noodles and rice are made in bulk but this place still beats the Panda Express at this mall any day! We even got a hand rolled on the spot sushi sample while we waited!

I earned the Maverick badge for coming here! I was a little skeptical about eating here but i was really craving spicy tuna and sushi roll. That’s when i decided to give it a try. The cashier was really friendly and welcomed me in by offering a free sample of the California roll. I ended up getting the Hawaiian roll which is a California roll with tuna on top. i also got a spicy tuna hand roll. the 8 piece roll came with a free miso soup. No wonder it was free, it looked really bad. I didn’t risk trying it. The hand roll and special roll were not that bad. I didn’t finish them but they didn’t have the cheap sushi taste. The fish was fresh. the only thing I will complain about is the avocado in my hand roll was too hard. :( Next time I’m at the Sherman Oaks mall, I might just go with my usual Stone Oven or Chipotle meal.

The absolute worst«Japanese» food I’ve ever had. The fried rice tasted like the main spice was soap. The gyoza was tasteless. I was hungry when I got there. Thankfully the food made me lose my appetite. Less calories that way but not very satisfying.

WORSTSUSHIINTHEWHOLEVALLEY, omg i can not believe people actually buy from here and enjoy it, i was in the mall and tried this today and i can not believe how stale it was, awful awful, i just want other people out there not to make the same mistake i did and waist 30 bucks on food you will feel sick with afterwards, so greasy i feel as if i have just drank a bottle of old oil with rice which is 10 years old… terrible not even edible…

I love coming to Tokyo grill. I have been coming here for years and I absolutely love it. I always get the oriental chicken salad and I never get disappointed. Everything they have here is always fresh. I also get the Washington roll so delicious!!!

My god, this is probably the biggest disgrace to Japanese food of all-time. I chose this place because it looked alright as compared to everything else in the food court and I was in the mood for Asian food. I tried to play it safe with a simple beef teriyaki with noodles, rice, and vegetables. I’ll start with the beef: it was overcooked and chewy with no teriyaki flavor at all. But that was the BEEF. Maybe 40% of the«beef» was beef. The other 60% was FAT. I couldn’t believe it. It was literally un-edible. It wasn’t even that the beef was fatty, it was just that it was PUREFAT. Disgusting. The noodles were rubbery and lacked flavor… just like Panda Express’. The vegetables were basically just steamed and flavorless, so some soy sauce and sriracha helped. At least the rice was good, right? No. Wrong. It was overcooked. Even a Japanese place manages to screw up rice. Jesus Christ, that was the worst food I’ve had in a long time. Short story: NEVEREVERUNDERANYCIRCUMSTANCESGOHERE!

This was a mistake… all I had was a chicken bowl — rice, chicken, veggies. How can that be messed up, right? Well, I didn’t eat the chicken, it freaked me out. It was just wrong. Wont be trying this again.

I was in the Fashion Square Mall this last Saturday and against my better judgment decided to have lunch. I went to the food court and selected Tokyo Grill. This place gives mall food a bad name. My meal was uneatable. The chicken teriyaki was the worst I have ever had. The rice was over done. the noodles were made of rubber. Nothing had any flavor to it. Had I only used my phone to check out the ratings on Unilocal I could have saved myself time and money. On top of bad food… the service really lacked. I am not sure if it was a language problem or what. Bottom line… I threw the food away and eat elswhere.

Let’s just say that I will never order food from here again. The lady who worked that stand was really incredibly rude. I asked her if there was some other vegetable than the salad, and she kept saying«you don’t want salad?» over and over again. I gave up and ordered. I ordered a chicken katsu combo and the spicy tuna roll.(now this was before I realized how bad the food was) My chicken was dry and greasy. It was like I was chewing on chicken jerky! and they were so cheap with the sauce that it was dried onto the chicken. Not to mention it was at room temp when I got the food. Also, with the rice that it came with, I mean, how can an asian food place mess up the rice? its just horrifying. Warning lights should go off when you get bad rice from an asian place. The spicy tuna roll had a really sour taste. the tuna was tasteless and the roll was so huge I couldn’t fit it in my mouth. I beg of you to not order from this place. Save your money and your palate!

I usally eat at the one in Glendale and that location is great. This location is terrible. I ordered the deluxe bento box. The chicken was under cooked andthe california roll was sour due to bad mayo. I had to throw it away and order a new lunch needless to say from somewhere else. I would strongly advise not to visit this location.
