I have thick wavy hair and anyone who has thick hair knows that they can’t go to just anyone for a good haircut. I was referred To Jozef and had my haircut by him on Saturday. I have to say Jozef knows exactly what to do and how to layer Long naturally curly hair. This has got to be one of the best haircuts I’ve had. I love the layers and absolutely loved my blow dry. I think I found my new hair stylist. Thank you Jozef!!!

Mariam is the coolest hair expert on Ventura Blvd. Sherman Oaks is lucky to have her and I am so glad I made an appointment to see her. She is definitely a keeper for me… We had a dialogue about what I wanted before hand and she did exactly what was needed to get some style back in my hair.
The salon is now called Primo and it is is very sleek and open. Everything there is quality and I felt comfortable as soon as I walked in. I can never go back to anything less! Thank you Mariam for your amazing work!

If you want to waste your money down the garbage then it would be a good idea to go here. But if you’re looking for acrylic nails that are reasonably priced, quick, and good quality then DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE. If I could give this place 0 stars I would.
I had an appointment at 7 pm for a full set and since they closed at 8 I thought I had enough time. THIS LADY TOOK 2 HOUSE TO DO ACRYLICS. 1) waste of my time and 2) she charged me $ 65 that’s way too much considering it was simple black acrylic nails. And 3) I’ve only had these nails for 3 days and they broke while I was getting pants out of my closet. Although the lady who did my nails spent 2 hours, she didn’t even do a good job because every single nail is uneven. I will never recommend this place to anyone.

I called in about 15 minutes to closing hoping to get a quick eyebrow wax and wasn’t disappointed. They were able to fit me in without an appointment and overall did a great job. Because I was in a rush trying to make sure I didn’t stay past closing time I didn’t confirm prices until after the service was complete and the stylist told me it was 25 dollars cash. In my haste to leave I didn’t hesitate more than a minute to try to find the cash and a tip (which is 4x what I normally pay in any other salon). Now in hindsight I hope she enjoyed the extra cash at the expense of a disappointed customer who paid at least 2x more (even in Sherman Oaks) for a 10 minute service.

A gem in Sherman Oaks! After struggling for 3 years to find a reliable and affordable hair stylist in the SFV, I have finally find solace in Nadia at XS.
I showed her a picture and was anxious as she asked me questions about exactly what I wanted. When she stated mixing I was half tempted to throw in the towel, I couldn’t stand getting another bad dye job. But she came back, went over exactly what she intended to do and how and applied the first color, I immediately felt relief.
Thank you for giving me not only exactly what I wanted, but being creative enough to make it work perfectly for me. I can’t wait to go back!

Sandi and Tricia just gave me a beautiful mani pedi. I was driving back to the westside from Oxnard and found this salon on Unilocal.I’ll make the trek from the westside to see them again!

I had my hair blown dry by Jasmine. It was the best blow dry I’ve ever had. Not only was it relaxing and exactly what I ask for but I was getting on a plane for New York that night and the blow dry held up through all the wind in New York and the running around and the flight there and back. I have scheduled a weekly blow dry with her because of it.

I’m so glad I came to this salon. I was looking for a new place in Sherman Oaks, and I noticed that XS Salon received many positive reviews, so I tried it out. As a new client, they gave me a good discount for starters. As far as the actual cut, I had 2 different men working on me; one washed my hair, and another cut and styled my hair. The guy that washed my hair gave me the best scalp massage ever and I felt like a princess — SERIOUSLY. It was great.
Then the actual cut was one of the best cuts I’ve ever gotten, and I understand now why they call the guy who cut my hair «the tornado/​hurricane.» He blow dried my hair in about 20 minutes, which usually takes people at least double that time, AND he did a great job. I loved my cut!
All in all, great people, great service, great cut and style.

Well, my review is for Jasmine! ! I know her for 10 years ! I will follow her whenever she’ll go. I was at the salon on Saturday morning to get my red hilights extentions, amazing, looks gorgeous! I never say what I want, I just go and tell to Jasmine «make my hair beautiful» and yes she does, I like to change my hair color often, black and blue, black and red, and she always give me great opinions. And also I am getting beautiful sexy make up from her. I can’t thank enough to Jasmine, she does amazing job! Jasmine have magic touch, yes she does, warming personality, amazing girl! I will HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE! THANK YOU JASMINE, YOU ARE THE BEST!

Eddie Gornik!!! He’s definitely my new hairstylist. I just had my hair cut 2 hours ago at this salon for the very first time and I’m so in love. The salon is conveniently next door to my office so I decided to take a chance. I’m so glad I did. He was so friendly and listened to exactly what I wanted him to do with my hair. He even gave me advice on how to style my hair to make it look the way he just did it. I’ve gone to countless places where they butchered my hair and pretty much sent me running and hiding. It’s literally been a year and a half since I last cut my hair. I’m so glad I went for it with XS salon. Definitely going back to see my guy… maybe even try a new color. I’m so ecstatic!!!

I have had my hair done by various people, but after meeting Jasmine, I will never get my hair done anywhere else. Jasmine is not only one of the kindest people I have met, but she is very professional, talented, and always makes sure to give me the best advice about what hairstyle will go well with my face, outfit and occasion I am going to attend. I have been going to XS Salon to see one of their best hairdressers Hasmik, who is absolutely amazing, talented professional with GOLDEN HANDS, her creativity amazes me every time. The atmosphere at the salon is very pleasant and comfortable, yet it’s a very trendy place.

I have been getting my hair done by Shadan for over 10 years. She really knows how to make me the most beautiful me. Whether it’s a hair cut, color or highlights, she always comes through with fantastic results and I always leave happy. Great service and great work.

So i visited the salon for a wash, blow out and flat iron. This is my second visit with DiDi & Sam because the first time was awesome. So i go in and receive the deep condition, blow out and flat iron and i notice that they didnt take their time like they did the first time they did my hair. Sam was flat ironing my hair and took large pieces. While Didi was blowing out my hair, she didnt take her time to get it flat. My hair was awesome the first time then on my second visit, Its like they were a bit careless. My hair wasnt done as well and i am pretty sure that i could have done it like that myself. It wasnt as flat and my roots were puffy. The flat iron didnt last long so i am extremely dissapointed. I wont be back.

My review is for Hasmik. Hasmik was recommended to me for my wedding and she was a god-​send. Before her, I had been to 6 trials. I was at my wits end… and Hasmik was an answer to my prayers.
She did the most amazing design with my veil and my headpiece for the ceremony, and stayed, so she can redo my hair for the reception.
Besides her talent, which is essential, her attitude, her kindness, and her desire to make you happy is what makes her worthy of this praise. She will not let you leave her chair unhappy, and she LISTENS to you. Yes she’s experienced, but she will not push her desires or her thoughts… she will only advise when asked. Otherwise, if you ask her to do a style you saw in a magazine, she will make it happen!!!
She is a BRIDES DREAM. She was the best thing to be beside me on my wedding day.

If it weren’t for the amazing job they did on my hair, they would be getting 0 stars. The people here were so unprofessional!!! The manager was arguing with one of the employees right in front of all the customers! You could feel the tension in the air.

I’ve always been picky when it comes to someone doing my hair. I one time walked out on a salon because I didn’t like the way he was cutting someone else’s hair. So one day, I went and had Shadan cut and style my hair, and 12 years later I’m still happy as ever! It’s always easy to make appointments with her, and when I show up, I tell her my ideas and she works her magic. I always come out loving my hair and there’s never a time when I don’t get compliments.
So if you’re looking for someone who listens to what you want, and does an amazing job at coloring, cutting, and working her magic, Shadan is the one for you! I will forever be loyal to her!
Also, the salon is clean and the staff are friendly. I always have a good time when I get my hair did!!!
