I stopped by this shop and found that there was a new nail lady who said her name was Tanya. She was very nice so I decided to get a mani/​pedi. It was awesome. I highly recommend her. I can’t wait to go back.

There isn’t a better colorist around! I have been going to Marlene for years and have never had a bad cut or color. And boy do we do color. Marlene has magical coloring skills. I have gone from brown to blonde to red to highlights to purple ombré and it’s has all be freakin awesome! For all the processing I have done my hair is in amazing condition. I also have Marlene do the Brazilian Blowout on my hair and boy is it phenomenal. Lasts easily 6 months with proper care that Marlene will explain to you. She is a very special person who takes exceptional pride and care in what she does. You will not find another person to make your hair care experience better. If you are going to spend the time and money get your hair done right. Daltons is the place to go.

Came in yesterday to see Marlene and have my hair styled. I told her I had a job interview to go to and wanted to look presentable. My hair is so dry and burnt I might as well shave it and start new! Okay, I’m not doing that BUT Marlene managed to make my hair look awesome!
I didn’t think I would be able to keep my hair looking great for the day since it was so hot outside! I thought that all her hard work would be gone :/​Nope! She used her products and finished me off with some hairspray and it stayed looking great the whole time! To my luck the interview was rescheduled and I had no where to go tonight. :/​Well, at least you guys get to see my hair done! :) I’m scared to sleep on it since it still looks good! Ask her to use her drying/​curling tool! It does wonders.

I wanted to wait to post my review, to see how my I settled into my hair. I still love it. Dalton was tucked into a parking lot next to the cleaners. The salon is really charming, staff super friendly and gracious. Doris did an excellent job and really knows her stuff. I came in prepared to cut all my hair off which I haven’t done it in almost 20 years. Doris understood my feelings and figured out a way to cut my hair to get all of the weight off, give it more volume, and still keep it long and feminine. She also gave me the best wash I ever had… literally. I explained how oily my hair gets and all the built up product in it, and she prescribed a clarifying shampoo. It’s been 3.5 days and my hair still feels freshly washed it were washed only 8 – 12 hours ago. She also need time to listen to my concerns and recommend products for me she’s very genuine it seems to be looking to help her clients, rather than trying to sell you extra junk and products during your appointment that you didn’t come in for. I’ll be seeing Doris again for sure!

UPDATE– I just spent the entire day yesterday in Santa Monica by the beach and my hair did not frizz up, get puffy, change its style, curl up, or wave!!! This has never happened before in my entire life. My hair’s style stayed in the style I left home with. No hairsprays or anything like that. Just Marlene’s incredible work. Thank you thank you thank you!

I have been going to Marlene for years now, and I have never been disappointed with my cut. She’s so personable and funny. I always leave laughing. She takes her time when cutting and stays up on the latest styles.

First, Marlene and Ellie are both wonderful and caring women who take great pride in their work. Ellie has been doing my hair close to 10 years now and you won’t believe how amazing she is with color!!!

Amazing service– I have been looking for a new place in LA to tend to my fickle, east-​coast-​styled brunette locks since I left NYC over a year ago– I found it! I had my hair done by Ellie Rojaslim: I loved my hair when she first did it and the best part is that I still love it after several washings and stylings on my own! :-) Wait, no. The best part is that I told her what I wanted, showed her a picture and she NAILED it. To be honest, I was a little hesitant about the color when it was first done and instead of trying to convince me to like it (as many stylists tend to do), she changed it immediately, making sure I was comfortable– and it was perfect. Marlene, the owner, is a sweetheart as well and made sure I felt right at home. If you are looking for a trendy new style, Ellie is your gal and Dalton’s is your place.

Awesome place! Marlene did my hair and it came out great! Excellent service and she was extremely friendly. Will definitely recommend her to all my family and friends!

Marlene is my «go-​to» gal for anything beauty related. My husband gets his hair done by Marlene as well. She is fabulous — great color, great cuts, great conversation. Her salon is welcoming, and I always look great when I leave!
