Hair by Doris

Doris is a very nice hair stylist. I went with her last week because i found great reviews in Unilocal and I really love her work.
She did exactly what i was looking for.
She speaks English and also very good Spanish.
She is very patient and she explain every thing about your hair cut and color and she is willing to answer any question you have regarding your hair
I recomend Doris to any one who is looking for a great hair cut and color.

Doris is very professional and personable. I’m so glad I found her because she is really the best stylist who knows how to cut and treat Asian hair. She listens to customers patiently and asks the right questions. I have to say that every time I move, the most terrifying thing is actually going to a salon… Glad I read the reviews on Unilocal and went in for a haircut. A note on the side, the 25% off deal is not running any more, but her price is very reasonable for the result and the amount of work she puts in.

I’ve been going to Doris for 10 years! I’ve followed her wherever she goes. She’s amazing, takes really good care of my hair. I get lots of compliments on the color, my highlights and the style.

Doris is amazing! I am so glad I found her on here. did my color this past weekend and I will be getting a Brazilian blowout with her later this fall. She really cares about her job/​reputation and she goes out of her way to make her customers happy, which is rare.

So it has been a week since I had my hair cut by Doris. I wanted to wait a bit until I settled into it before I wrote my review because it looked incredible after she cut and styled it for me. Anyways… I still love it! I have never had my hair this short but I decided to do it just this once so the ends can be thicker and grow out thicker. I hated my previous cut and I love how Doris cut my bangs. My hair looks full and healthy. She gave me some wonderful tips on how to care for my hair as well. I would definitely go back when its time for touch up again. I didnt expect it to be so pricey though… thats the only issue but maybe going once every 3 – 4 months is doable.

I love Doris! My mom and I have been doing our hair with her for years now and we have never had a complaint! We’re always getting compliments on how our hair looks so healthy and not damaged from all the dye. Keep up the great work!!!

Not a good haircut. Went here based on Unilocal reviews but now realize that positive reviews were from women. I’m a dude and got a pretty straightforward haircut, but there was massive unevenness, long hairs around the ears. Doris was nice, but did a very poor job on my hair. Spent way too much for way too little. I walked out thinking it was okay, but had people tell me it looked like a European mullet.

I wanted to wait to post my review, to see how my I settled into my hair. I still love it. She did an excellent job and really knows her stuff. I came in prepared to cut all my hair off which I haven’t done it in almost 20 years. Doris understood my feelings and figured out a way to cut my hair to get all of the weight off, give it more volume, and still keep it long and feminine. She also gave me the best wash I ever had… literally. I explained how oily my hair gets and all the built up product in it, and she prescribed a clarifying shampoo. It’s been 3.5 days and my hair still feels freshly washed it were washed only 8 – 12 hours ago. She also took time to listen to my concerns and recommend products for me; she’s very genuine it seems to be looking to help her clients, rather than trying to sell you extra junk and products during your appointment that you didn’t come in for. I’ll be seeing Doris again for sure! She’s also moved to Dalton Salon around the corner.

Very reasonable priced. Listens to my requests and does exactly what I want. She is a true artist. I’ve been going to her for 8 years and I’m extremely happy.

Wonderful relaxing very professional and expert at her profession. Been going there for over a year. wouldn’t have anybody else cut and color my hair. Doris is a wonderful stylist. !!!

Moved here almost two years ago and have not had a decent hair cut until I met Doris. She did an Amazing job on my Hair. She took her time and gave me great tips on how to take care of my hair. It was like going to a Doctor, she did an assessment, diagnosed and fixed the problem. I will be going back to her for sure.

Doris is a lovely person and so easy to talk to. I brought some pictures of what I wanted and she worked with me on which one would be the best ‘transition’ from my current style. we are still working to get the color just right, but as I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted. . it has to be a bit of a journey we take together. I would definitely recommend Doris! She does great eyebrows too!

Sweetest stylist and knowledgeable of her profession. She really cares about what you want for cut, color and style. I found Doris through a Groupon almost a year ago and have never gone to anyone else after my experience with her. People think it’s easy to cut Men’s hair but to Doris, all hair takes equal time and effort.
She gives you high fashion hair at incredibly reasonable prices. I honestly think she could charge double and get away with it – she’s that good!
It is helpful to her if you bring a picture of a hairstyle you want and show her a 360. She takes a moment to process it and replicates it exactly. You can always feel safe explaining to her your desires and concerns.
My hair is especially think and puffy. Most hairdressers don’t seem to know how to manage it. Doris knows every hair type under the sun and will give you the look that you want. Shoot her a text and test out a haircut. You won’t be sorry.
Honestly, she is LA’s best kept not-​so secret.

I can’t think of anyone else but Doris for what I was looking for.
I was tired of black hair & just throwing in any black to cover my roots. I wanted a light color hair with highlights. But I didn’t want to pay a ridiculous price either. Doris knew just what I wanted. She was more concerned about giving me what I wanted without damaging my hair then what she was being paid for and that meant a lot to me. I totally recommend Doris. Plus she is very sweet and friendly;).
