This place is a great place to catch a game and have a few drinks with friends, however it has HORRIBLE food! I come here often to watch a big game or to catch up with friends and a few drinks Friday/Saturday nights. They got music playing and an outside patio where you can sit. It usually gets crowded here, which I like. The food is terrible. I came here for lunch once and tried their mac and cheese and chicken quesadilla and my friend got the grilled cheese sandwich with fries. It was gross. Very greasy and had a bland flavor. Another time, I came in for a big game and ordered the pizza and spinach dip. The pizza was okay, the dip however was not what I expected. It was served with soft pita bread(Not baked or crispy) and I thought that was really gross. Who serves dip with pita bread? At least bake the bread or serve it with chips. How cheap can they be? It’s greasy, fattening and very unhealthy. The appetizer platter is also very unflattering with an unflattering taste. For the price you pay, you’d expect something better. I don’t recommend ordering food and eating here. It is however a great place to come and hang out if you want to get a few drinks, just don’t come in hungry.(Go to Crave Café across the street if you want to eat and want to sober up after having a couple of drinks).

I tried to go to Mad Bulls just yesterday to watch the Soccer Game — and when we got there the place is totally boarded up with plywood, and it was closed. There was a sign on the front telling people not to enter. Funny, I just called the other week and spoke to the bartender, who told me they were going to be showing the soccer games. I guess they didn’t tell the employees that they were closing ! I read that it is being re-done, and the name will be changing. And it will be oprning as something else in a about three months. I really liked the TVs in this place, I hope they still have plenty of TVs after the remodeling is finished.

Sometimes I read reviews and wonder if I’m at the same place. I’ve only been here to watch hockey(Go Kings Go!), so I can’t really speak for the environment of this place past 9 p.m. I’ve had nothing but good experiences and good service every single time. Their staff is always on the ball and checking in constantly. Happy Hour is every day from 4 p.m. — 7 p.m. The appetizers are $ 6.95 and most beers are $ 2 off. They have a decent draft beer selection. Not as extensive as places dedicated to craft beer, but much better than you’d find at your average bar. The wings here are good and you can mix & match flavors. Lots of TVs. At least ten inside and one on each patio. I think the only complaint I could make about this place is that the big projector is kind of dim, but it’s not like I can’t look literally anywhere else to watch on another TV. Parking on Ventura is always awful, but I’ve never had any problem finding street parking on Moorpark St. or Cedros Ave.(behind the TJ Maxx that’s next door).

Came here yesterday for happy hour. First, the one of the security guards was rude!!! We asked him if we could sit in the patio with the dogs and his response was«I don’t know, CAN you?» Second, the waitress took forever! We only had one drink during the happy hour. The service is horrible!!! Third, after we received the bill, the waitress assumed all the money was her tip. I’m sorry, that’s just rude! Why would I give you a 20% tip for your crappy service?

Had I read the reviews about this place before coming to this place, I would have known the type of service I was going to receive. Bad service, attitude, flat beer, bad food, etc. Better go somewhere else… It’s been 30min and I’m still waiting for my second beer…

Bad things: Smells funny Odd crowd(old, smelly, sometimes ghetto, sometimes hairy) Mediocre if not lower food Same for drinks Good things: Lucas(the bartender) And I think that’s it for the good things haha. Lucas is a great bartender and also great to talk to. Also, one time at this place, I saw a guy covered in blood rush into the bathroom! Oh and don’t get me wrong, sometimes I’m old, smell, ghetto, and hairy, too, so no offense you filthy animals!

It is hit or miss with the staff here. Last Friday it was a major miss. The woman bartender was extremely rude and blamed us for how long it took to get our drinks because she thought we had walked away. No honey same spots right in front of you for the last 10 min. The male bartender was a bit friendlier. I ordered a Moscow mule and she hands it to me in a glass cup, there are copper ones behind her. My friend asks for it in a copper cup, she pours it into said cup then asks for a $ 20 deposit. Um come again now honey? She then starts ranting about how every place does it(they don’t, I’ve been ordering this drink for years and this is the first I’ve heard of it) because people steal the cups(they do) and she needs a deposit! She just went about it all wrong. And for the record they were not as busy as I’ve seen the place get so cool your jets and breath. Back in the glass cup it went.

This place doesn’t allow shorts as attire after 6pm. I didn’t realize it was a club! In that case they should change there«sports bar» category to «exclusive bar» Really retarded wasted my Time driving there to meet up my cousins. I guess they forgot we’re in California! Dumb dumb dumb dumb!

Dark wood, and lots of seating choices: bar, outside, high tables and chairs, and soft, comfy bench seats. I opted for the soft option. It wasn’t busy for lunch on a Thursday. In fact, I was 1 of 5 diners. Despite this, a fun and warm welcome by the server, who’s name is Ashley. They have daily specials, food and drink, that will save you a few bucks. I opted for the: CHILICHEESEFRIES — while they were edible(who are we kidding), the chili was watery. Clearly, frozen shoestring fries.($ 8.95, 3.0 stars) TACOPLATE(3) — went with the carnitas(have choice with chicken, noted no beef). Super plump, meaty, how else can I say alot? Slaw was poor that it was served with. $ 4+ each taco is a little too pricey.($ 12.95, 3.5 stars). They wouldn’t accept my expired livingsocial coupon, even though bu California law they are supposed to honor the amount I paid for it). Duly noted. Chili Fries were comp’d(thanks!), but taking the issue up with LS. In the end, I think it is a slightly better than average place that I would come here for a game, or a big fight. PS. Livingsocial awarded me dealbucks that I can use on a future special.

Piece of s%_t place! What kind of sports bar is this that you have to reserve seats in order to sit down & eat??? There’s also a tremendous douch bag alert of «entitled self absorbed cliques» at this place, more fake than a lot of the breast implants walking in through the door on a Friday or Saturday night. Place totally sucks Mad Bull Balls.

So my friends and I, about 10 including myself, decided to come here this last Saturday night after shooting some pool across the street. It must have been around 12:30pm. We get to the door, ID’s in hand, the the doorman asks us if we’ve been drinking elswhere. I responded yes, across the street. He then tells us that we cannot go inside because we’ve been drinking elsewhere and therefore we are a liability to the establishment. We all laughed because thought it was a joke. But then we quickly realized he was serious. We got annoyed, felt discriminated, so we left to another place nearby and spent our money there. Screw this place I’m never going back. Judging from other reviews below, this place seems to turn people away quite often for arbitrary reasons. Do not support this establishment.

I had the most horrendous experience here. Anyone would be absolutely disgusted. I went to Mad Bull’s Tavern on 12÷13÷13 with a group of friends. One of my friends has a severe case of Aspergers, and upon trying to enter the bar, was rejected due to his peculiar behavior. My friend is understandably different, and I can see the concern for the bar in rejecting him off hand. However, when I pulled the bouncer to the side to explain his condition(he has a severe social disorder), the bouncer handled the situation in one of the foulest displays I have ever seen. Instead of saying something along the lines of «I am sorry, he still can’t come in» which I would have understood, he turned to myself and my friend with a disability and proceeded to mock us. He started to make fun of my friend to his face for being different. I asked to speak to a manager. The bouncer said he was the manager. His friend(other bouncer) is trying to get me to leave at this point in time and is proceeding to join in with his comrade to fillibuster my getting a manager. Finally, they bring one out. Whomever he is, as I doubt he actually was a supervisor, allowed me to start talking before he cut me off in 30 seconds and walked inside. The bouncer at this point in time starts to yell about how I am racist, and am picking on him because he is African American(I am white). I explained it had nothing to do with the color of his skin, but his ignorance to making fun of someone with a social disorder. At this point in time, my friend has become even more strange and he is visibly upset over someone poking fun at the unfortunate disease that he has and that he cannot change. The bouncers find this to be even more hilarious, and start to get more aggressive with their making fun of me and the situation. Finally, a supervisor comes out and speaks with my sister and I. He tries to alleviate our being upset, but says he won’t do anything to punish the act of his employees. During this conversation, the bouncer happens to decide to mock everything I do. He starts repeating what I am saying, standing the way I am standing, and mimicking my every move. I finally give up and explain to the supervisor how revolted I was at this scenario, and that I won’t be returning to the bar again. He handed me a business card with a name and email address HOWEVER every time I have tried to email it, the email bounces back. Which means it doesn’t exist, and the employee gave me a fake business card to get rid of me. I could list what about this entire situation is unacceptable, but I am sure you can understand where my frustrations lie. There are a number of them. The bouncer in question should be severely reprimanded. Personally, I would like him fired. If not, he should be released for two weeks without pay. The company also needs to have protocol when a manager is asked for. It is absurd that I had to fight through tooth and nail to get a supervisor to address the issue at hand. I should also have been dealt with respect, and not given false information. Mad Bull’s clearly takes no accountability for itself and it’s staff.

Very poor service staff. Sitting on the patio at about 12:45 and they tell us they have to close up out here and we need to move inside. Oh, aren’t those closing duties… you know, when you guys are closing at 2AM? When we’re inside: about 1:15 the lights flash for last call and we don’t see our waitress for a good fifteen minutes. When she does show up and we would like to order our last round she couldn’t look more pissed. Lady, your establishment is open for another 45 minutes! You’re a bar! Then we get a guy telling us we have ten minutes to finish up. Then a guy literally taking glasses out of our hands at 1:45. I felt like I was a prisoner and my time was up. There are wayyyy too many other bars to go to on Ventura blvd. and this one is highly over rated.

Saturday visit on a Halloween season. I expected a super crowd and it’s good it was not that bad. We were led to a nice corner and I thought it was perfect. We had a good view of the whole place including the DJ and people watching mode. A mixed of techno and hip hop were played well by the DJ. I think that this is one of the most spacious sports bar I have ever seen. Food. Nothing special. We had the pepperoni flat bread pizza and I found it to be a little salty. The sweet potato fries were plainly ok. My hefe was fantastic! Service.Very attentive and fast. They were actually super friendly. Hmmm… We were asked more than 10X if we were ok or simply checking our refills and taking away the mess. The energy! I didn’t feel the urge to use the restroom but my friend said that the male bathroom was clean. Laid-back place. I liked it!

Good place to get together with friends to watch sports and drink it up. They have plenty of TVs, and usually have the volume up for the game of the day/night(big plus for me). Pricing is decent compared to other sports bars. They have happy hour specials on food, and their Bull’s Balls taste better than they sound. I have read complaints about people getting screwed on their bills, or the servers being rude, but I personally haven’t had any such issues. I also read that Shia Labeuf(Leboof? Leboughfff?) likes to get into«fights» here, but have yet to bump into him or his yellow Camaro. Speaking of yellow cars, the parking here is hit or miss. Sometimes they charge you to park, sometimes they don’t. Seems like it depends on how crowded they think they are going to be that day/night(if there’s a big game, etc). You could find street parking pretty easily if you know where to look. Another detail worth noting — they have WiFi, and let you access it if you ask. Came to a fantasy football draft here once and didn’t have any issues. Overall, nothing to really complain about, but nothing to rant and rave about either. Just go with a good group of friends and you’ll have a good time.

Okay, so here’s my latest experience here, in a long line of lousy experiences at Mad Bull’s Tavern. I got there with my girl at about 4:30pm to watch the Sunday night pre-season game between the Vikings and the Niners. We were promply seated by a friendly hostess, and our watress«Cathrine» was really nice, quick and sincere. I waited for my friend and his girl to get there, and they did about 7pm. He arrived looking quite good, and wearing a hat from Honda HRC Spain MOTOGP Racing Team. He had just come from there, and so goes the hat. As soon as he walked in, he was ACCOSTED by this prick son of a bitch security douche bag named«SCOTT». I only learned his name later after asking several of the staff, since he wouldn’t identify himself to me. «SCOTT», was rude, pompous, egotistical and arrogant beyond belief. Basically, he told my friend that if he didn’t remove his hat, He would need to leave. I said«well, what about that girl right there, she’s got a hat, and so does that guy». He said, «That’s different». So how is that different? Simply put, he was discriminating against my friend because it was a «cap». and not a beret, sun hat, beanie, headdress, Stetson, or tiara. It was a «cap» from a world class racing team that you can’t get unless you’re a member of the team, and that wasn’t classy enough for the SPORTSBARWITHANIDENTITYCRISIS, THATWISHEDITWAS A LOUNGE. So that being said folks, Don’t go to this place, unless you want to put money in the hands of an owner that can’t figure out what kind of experience he wants for his loyal customers. Confusion is the name of the game, when you’re an up-scale sports bar that want’s to be a lounge, with a dress code like a $ 100 per plate Beverly Hills restaurant… what a joke! I’ve been a customer since it’s inception, and have spend hundreds of dollars for food and alcohol every time I’ve been there. However I can tell you now unequivocally, that I will NEVEREVER go there again, AND, I will tell every single last one of my patients for YEARSTOCOME(Upwards of 120 per week) to STAYCLEAR of this place. And. The only way I’d ever consider recanting this statement, is if the security schmoe«SCOTT» were to be FIRED, as he deserves to be, and the dress policy brought back to some form of normalcy. GOODBYEMADBULL’S TAVERN… ROCCO’S Bar & Grill… I’m BACK!

really 3.5 but LOVE the cadillac margarita!!! During hour hour(and maybe all the time) it costs $ 11.95BUT it’s 32 oz in a cool mason jar and has a baby cornoa sticking out of it. I drank like I drink(hard & fast) and it lasted me 90+ mins didn’t have to order another drink… WOW! Chicken wings are just ok didn’t like the sauce of the buffalo style Bulls balls are good I guess not bad(fried macaroni balls) Fries are standard, didn’t care for the chili Hostess & severs are CUTE, you know valley waitress cute(100% not a diss just a description I love the valley and valley girls oh yeah!!!) but definitely a bonus for those that like that lol. Place has tons of TVs and they reserve seats and show PPVs, told me it’s a $ 25 cover though that includes the booths too… not sure if that is subtracted off the bill I don’t think it is oh well, sorta… kinda…worth it?! I like this place and will definitely come back to watch the games… I hear Lamar Odom loves this place, whatever but FYI lol. *5.95 food options for happy hour and drink specials too **tons of women looking around, say hi fellas! ***tons of dudes looking around, say hi back ladies!

Great hangout for someone in their twenties, loud music/big crowd/good food. The service isnt the best and sometimes they automatically add the 20% tip on the receipt and youre way to drunk to notice so you’ll end up tipping them twice. One time the waitress didnt bring me my change and just kept it as her tip without asking lol Im kind of a regular here

This place gets 5 stars because of the happy hour. Everyday from 4pm to 7pm. Its the best in town. Wings for 50 cents each on Wednesday(wing Wednesday) so that’s 6 wings for $ 3 and 12 wings for $ 6 and so on. 50% off beer. Plus lots of other yum yum appetizers. The homemade potato chips are a must. Hot and fresh+ smothered in bleu cheese. OFFTHECHAIN. College football, UFC fights, boxing, NFL football, soccer… all at the same time, take your pick. Tons of flat screen TVs through out. Nice patio section. Great drinks and lots of beer on tap. YES!!!
