Chuck Olson Kia

I just bought a new 2016 Kia Soul yesterday at Chuck Olson Kia. Usually, buying a car is a miserable experience. However, I worked with Troy and Bill, and they didn’t pressure me or play games like most car salespeople do. The process was smooth and stress free. One thing that really set this dealership apart from others, is the sales people made sure I knew about all the features. LOL — I was ready to go because I was tired — but Bill & Troy really took the time to ensure I knew the features of this awesome car. I would recommend this dealer to anyone. Very positive experience.

I was surprised how courteous and professional Curtis was, as this was not my continual experience with the other Kia facility I purchased my vehicle. I’m glad I have found you guys. Service is fast as promised and a great clean and well stocked waiting area. Victoria greeted me with a smile. Great staff. I am already telling people about you.

Able to coordinate multiple services to save time. Dealerships understanding of my time restrictions BEFORE making an appointment (and therefore making my appointment work best for my timeline and the service). Fast & friendly — great team.

Customer lounge had free drinks and snacks. When they found out service was going to take a while, I was offered a free ride to any places nearby. Services performed were explained to me in detail to level that a non-​technician can understand. I was satisfied with their service.

I was really happy to hear Todd was very honest with me about my initial concerns with my vehicle and did not want me to waste my money by checking something he did not think was a problem. His honesty was the reason I decided to have Chuck Olsen fix my brakes while I was there even though I had showed up for a completely different problem!

I recently had my car broken into downtown Seattle to which the bad guys shattered the passenger side window of my cute 2014 Kia Koup. I called the service department the same day, stressed — the service manager Rick was fantastic. He took charge, got me a loaner car, over-​night shipped a new window and within 24 hours of my catastrophe, I had my beloved car back.
If I could give 10 STARS! I would!

5 star service today by Gina and Jude. They treated me excellent and also fit me in for an oil change when I just made appointment to take care of recalls. Thank you for your top notch service. See you for my next oil change in a few months.

Great experience here. Mike was really helpful and honest about each car we looked at. Ended up finding a great car with his help. Definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a car.

Geena and the staff in the service department went above and beyond to help me through the unexpected repairs and bill for my 2003 Kia. I love my car and they helped me keep her running for another few years!

I have Kia car and have problems and been go there to get parts and when I ask them if they can do it (check parts that I took out of my car) as my boyfriend can do repair but want make sure it’s the problem they say yes can check so I came all way and they say can’t do it then tell me go other place and they called for me and said they can (2^nd time they say (can)) so we drove all way to other place and same thing and more rude as they didn’t expect us which Kia told us they called and say they never get any calls why do shoreline Kia lie about it twice!
When I get home I called Kia dealer and told them what happen then they admit they would do it but want me bring car in and want me pay fee I told them what? Why did t they say that 1^st place when I call or being there?!
They became burry about it (try rip me off)
Then I spoke with Rick (head or manager) and had explain all over he told me would call me back after find out why that happens and he did called and ask me to call him back as I missed his call and when I called back no one answer so I left message told him go ahead leave message or call me back
He never return even I call him three day in row and still can’t get reach of him
So I called other place in evertt (way north as I live in Seattle) they was super nice and say yes they can do it and not charge me at all even shoreline say it would charge me up 125 $ per hour and when I asked them how long as I know it take few mins for check up but he say he guess around two hours and wasn’t sure? Wtf? He try rip me off by cost 250 $ plus tax for just check one thing for few mins as said would take them awhile and I don’t even ask them to fix it just check part see if it’s good or not so I know if I need buy new part
I am so happy I didn’t go for it as Everett did for FREE! I will go back whenever I need their help won’t go to shoreline they are full of BS and not keep their words!!! Want let other know check with evertt before go there!!! As they care about money and not keep their word!!!

My husband and I have been looking for a new truck for a LONG time — we’ve been as far south as Puyallup and as far north as Burlington looking for one (see my other reviews for two of the other lots we visited).
While initially we were wanting only a diesel truck, we were finding that ALL of them had heavily rusted undercarriages. Many of these trucks were from Oregon or back east — and many of the car lots (not ‘name brand’ car lots but those ‘dime a dozen’ used lots’) were spray painting the rust with black paint. No bueno.
Fast forward to this week: my husband found a 2009 Chevy Silverado (gas) at Chuck Olson in Shoreline. It literally ticked all of our boxes, but we couldn’t come look at it until yesterday (Friday). We excitedly arrived and within a few minutes, Demetre greeted us in passing from the Kia lot to the Chev lot; he asked if we had been helped and he said no. Although he definitely seemed to be on a mission, he stopped what he was doing to talk to us. After thoroughly inspecting the undercarriage and outside of the truck, we knew we wanted to test drive. Demetre got the keys and came with us for the ride — besides NWMS in Puyallup, this was the only other car lot where the salesperson came with us.
Demetre was great — no pressure whatsoever, very knowledgeable about the truck and we immediately hit it off with him. It felt like we were driving with a friend, not a salesperson — and I can’t say I’ve ever said that about a car salesperson before — suffice to say, we think Demetre is awesome!
It didn’t take long for us to decide that this was the truck we’ve been waiting for — it took a month or two of searching car lots all over the place to find this gem. Besides the fact it had the trim package and full 4 doors we were looking for, it was one local owner and had super low miles. Or as my husband’s friend called it — an «old man truck» (because of how well it was taken care of).
The negotiating process was surprisingly painless. We went back and forth a couple times, fairly quickly arriving at the magic number. Even signing the financial paperwork with Jack was painless and quick — and again, no pressure to ‘upgrade’ for warranty, etc. From the moment we arrived to the moment we drove off the lot with our new truck, we did so in about 2 hours.
We can’t speak highly enough about Demetre — he was just that great. As for our experience being first time buyers at Chuck Olson, we left as very happy customers. They just happened to have what we wanted for the price we wanted.
Will we be back? When we need a car in the future, and if they have what we are looking for, we will most definitely return… and probably seek out Demetre if he’s still there :).

Came in for an oil change without an appointment. I was told it would take up to an hour. It was done in less than 35 minutes. Staff is friendly and the waiting room was comfortable.
Best of all is that I paid less than at another oil changing place.
I will definitely be back again for more car needs.

Came here to get routine maintenance done. Was told it would be about 2 hours. We went to the waiting area which was not impressive. No computers, no food, water was in a locked cabinet. Only option was coffee. I wasn’t impressed with their waiting area at all. We left and went to the coffee shop next door.
While waiting at the front desk to ask a question (there were people in front of me) the automatic doors kept opening and closing, non-​stop for the 5 – 10 minutes that I was standing at the desk. Talk about annoying and distracting,

I was referred to Chuck Olson though the Costco Auto Program and couldn’t be happier! The entire process was easy with no sales pressure. Chuck Olson had multiple models and colors to choose from which helped me pick out exactly what I wanted in stock.
Overall, I would highly recommend Chuck Olson. The staff was super nice and the salesperson I dealt with, William, as well as the sales manager all seemed knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks for making purchasing a vehicle easy!

I’ve been here many times before … This time for an oil change. Wow over 3 hours
Later I am still here :/​I was supposed to pick up my child at a set time which I explained to the service department. Needing new tires came up & needed to discuss the best tires with my husband. 30 min later I okayed the tires with the sales associate. No one came to check on me, ask what I was waiting for. while every single person waiting gets done before I am. Finally I visit the front desk & ask how much longer as I am already late — just to be told wow the tires still haven been put on & they will do it «as quickly
As possible » I can’t say I have a desire to come back, ever.

Although I didn’t end up purchasing a car through Chuck Olson, they have been, BY FAR, the best dealership to deal with. Demetre was kind, open, and honest (or he’s VERY good at acting like it). There was no pressure, no ultimatums, no games at all. I highly recommend Chuck Olson Kia, and Demetre in particular.
*Note: I didn’t end up purchasing a car at all. If I had, it would have been through Chuck Olson. They may not have been the best overall deal, but customer service goes a VERY long way with me!*

Recently bought a car here from Sarah Steele, through the Costco auto buying program (which I highly recommend– worth the price of a membership for this one benefit alone…). Sarah was BRILLS, the showroom is nice (although it could use an upgrade on the coffee offerings), the process was as painless as it can be given the large purchase, and overall it was a really positive experience. (Also, major shout-​out to Bill K. as well– he helped us when Sarah was with someone else, and he’s also stellar!)
I’d definitely recommend this dealer if you’re in the market.

If I could give lower stars I would.
I called this past Thursday and was told that the service I specifically asked for would be at least taken a look at-​I know most dealers only do maintenance service on the weekends and my issue was more of a technicians area of expertise, which by the way doesn’t make sense to me nor is it my problem if your representative indicated it would be ok to bring my car in for what I specifically asked for. I live in Seattle so I’m not nearby.
Got up early on my weekend and drive over with some work with me as I figured I would be there a while and come to find out what I specially/​clearly asked for would not be able to be addressed. WHAT, REALLY CHUCK OLSON?! The representative at the desk also seemed to offer no solution and only apologized stating «I’m sorry I didn’t work Thursday».
–I work for a service company that wins awards for our customer service from highly reputable outside organizations. We get them because we not only empathize but we offer viable solutions/​alternatives!
I never write reviews for anything as I take things with a grain of salt and just move on with my life but this was just annoying. I’m in a KIA lease and I really do like my car and have a little while left. I could see myself in a new one down the line but this experience will certainly weigh in my decision.
NOTE: this review is only about the service department. I have no experience with this particular locations sales department. The car buying experience is not being discussed here and I’m sure they are nice; nice in the «I’m your buddy to sell you a car» definition of the word. I have my own tricks to make sure I am actually getting the best deals there. Be sure to look at the actual service side of a dealer because like all cases the sales people won’t care-​once again not saying that was the case here but if you have had a car buying experience you are aware of the sales/​service differences even as they are at the same location.
