There is a Sherwin Williams right down the street. Who’s the clown now?

Sorry — but I had to give a 1 star because of the paint service. I wanted paint samples for Sherwin Williams so I called this Home Depot today and asked specifically if they do paint samples for Sherwin Williams. The woman I spoke to said yes so I told her I would be right in. However, when I got there and spoke with the woman (who I believe was the same woman from the phone), she told me that they don’t carry Sherwin Williams and I would have to pick a different paint for the sample. She said that whoever I had spoken to on the phone must have been mistaken. There are not that many people in the paint department here… nor are there that many woman, so I’m pretty sure that I spoke to her. What a waste of my time!

This Shorewood HD is always clean and full of courteous associates. Allan in paint knows his stuff. They always have a huge selection of plants, trees and bushes to choose from at good prices. I have been to a lot of HDs and this is one of the better ones.

hmm i think i just sat in the car here and was bored so i checked in. i waited for my parents and they took awhile so im just gonna go ahead and assume the workers were slow. 3 stars! sorry home depot. my friend manages one of you and said it sucks so im taking his word for it!

I love to do DIY projects and work in my yard, so frequent trips to Home Depot are in order. They always have what I want… Once I find it or I’m fortunate enough to find a knowledgeable sales associate.
My last visit, I was given 3 different locations to find the same item, by 3 different associates, in 3 different corners of the store! Thank God the third time was a charm! I did have to laugh out loud as their in-​store loop played a commercial that ended with «Just ask a friendly knowledgeable sales associate for details.» At the conclusion, I yelled out loud, «if you can find one!» Okay, so not the most «Ladylike» behavior, but I was so frustrated! Their lack of what I consider «exceptional customer service» adds time to every shopping experience. I end up paying more at the smaller Ace down the street where there aren’t as many places for associates to hide. I don’t want to waste time chasing down the associates. I want to do my projects…

This is the best home improvement store in the area. This particular Home Depot seems to have a pretty good team of associates who are knowledgeable and friendly.

DO NOT ORDER CARPET FROM THESE PEOPLE WAITING, WAITING AND STILL WAITING Like sitting around, for hours on end, because your waiting for your «Service Window»? Then this place is for you. All I wanted was living room carpet. We get a call saying, «You’ll be getting a call tomorrow between 7:30−9 am to tell you when your carpet will be measured. Then the guy calls at 7:30 to say he’ll be here between 11−1pm to measure (waiting, waiting). I swear to goodness, it took him over ½ hour to measure a 14×21 foot room (waiting waiting). My kid could have done it in 3 minutes with a yard ruler. Hey, no problem, I don’t mind waiting around even longer for you. Then we get a call a week later, giving us another 2 hour window for a call about when the guy will come and install the carpet. He calls, giving us «YET ANOTHER» 1 ½ hour window for an installation time. So it’s a Saturday, and I can’t leave my house because I’m still waiting, waiting, waiting for this guy to show up. I’ve got 4 kids, 2 of them babies, I don’t have time to sit around and wait for this crap.

I always appreciate the amount of staff wandering throughout the store, always willing to give people a hand. Most seem very knowledgable about whatever project we’re working on at any given time.
Most recent purchase was blinds for the bedroom and the fella that helped me definitely knew what he was doing. I told him what I needed, he pointed out his suggestions, cut them to size, pointed out a few other details and off I went to install it. It’s up. It’s great. And my wife is happy. So there. A happy wife is a happy life – and you can thank Home Depot for that.

When we first bought our house (1 mile away) I was here at least once a day. One time, when I had not been in for 3 days, they called me to see if I was OK. J/​K
