Completely overpriced for what it is. That being said, the food is not awful. My mango chicken salad was extremely filling and our server was very nice. However, when you can get an equally yummy salad/sandwich that is arguably fresher and half the price at ABP… I don’t see why anybody would come to Forty Carrots for anything but the froyo.

Hadn’t been there since they made the restaurant smaller and took out the salad bar. Lot smaller than before, but the food was good. The chicken soup was very good. The salad trio was ok, and the turkey East Sider was fresh. The waitress told me that they no longer did the Popovers since the concept of the restaurant was organic farm to table. Nice waitress, but didn’t seem the same as before.

1) I found an auburn hair in my food and nothing was done about it. Last winter, I actually encountered a woman engage in an enormous argument with the manager and staff because they served her rotten tomatoes in her salad. Guess I should’ve learned my lesson then. 2) The servers are ridiculously rude and unprofessional(needless to say), and I’ve no idea where they hired one particular hostess– whose hair seemed to change from one unflattering color to another each time I saw her– who is one of the most rude individuals I have ever encountered. 3) Their food is completely over salted for allegedly«healthy» food, and leaves me ridiculously thirsty each time. 3) And finally, the worst: I have seen, on more than one occasion, them serve a «service dog» WATERIN A TEACUPUSEDFORCUSTOMERS Another woman also observed this and spoke up about reporting this establishment to the NJ Department of Health.

Great little tucked away spot to eat in Short Hills mall, upstairs by the department stores. I’d realized there wasn’t a Unilocal page for this place, so I made one as we ate there for the first time! Forty Carrots puts its eggs in the healthy salads and wraps basket, and they do a pretty good job with it. I got the Chicken Mango salad, which was grilled chicken, mango slices, toasted almonds, vinaigrette, and feta cheese in a GENEROUSLY-portioned salad bowl. It was definitely pricey, but at the same time, was filling and done perfectly. They have a huge assortment of froyo for dessert, but based on the price, we decided to respectfully pass! I’d come here again for sure, but make note: it IS definitely expensive. Moreso than we thought when we sat down to eat!
