Way to ignore me and my daughter after seating us. Not one employee came by to ask if we were ready to order or even wanted a drink.

Shopping in the mall and decided to stop in for a quick bite. We all chose the veggie burgers prepared differently. Waitress was friendly and efficient. The sweetie juice was highly recommended by my daughter. Can’t pass up the 3 dollar yogurt dessert as well. A pleasant place.

There are a couple of really good places to choose from at the Short Hills Mall. If you are in Bloomingdale’s and hungry, and don’t want to leave Bloomingdale’s, then this is your choice. The service was really average. The food was pretty good, although the choices were a little slim. Apparently, the Yogurt is the real reason to come. Those I was with love the Yogurt. I thought it was ok.

Salad was surprisingly good but the place especially for Bloomingdales was a bit dirty. Also, their world class frozen yogurt(I got the cookies and cream flavor) tasted a bit bland to me. Overall it’s good if you are in the store and desire a quick bite but wouldn’t go out of my way.

This is located inside the Bloomingdales(3rd floor) at the Short Hills Mall which doesn’t have a food court so this is a great option for eating alongside with Nordstrom Café. I came here today while shopping to try their frozen yogurt and juice. I got the plain frozen yogurt which was $ 5 and got the small size and they gave A LOT. So much quantity which made the $ 5 price tag reasonable for froyo. On the not so bright side, they charge $ 1 for each additional toppings you want to add, I got rainbow sprinkles which made my entire froyo dish $ 6 which isn’t that bad. The juices were freshly made which made my mom happy :) and it was $ 7 for a 16 oz glass of juice, 24 oz. was $ 9.

40 Carrots is a small food shoppe at the third floor in the Bloomingdales Department store at the Short Hills mall. We were the only ones there after dinner to grab a frozen yogurt snack. $ 5 regular gets you a few different flavors — cookies & cream, vanilla, plain, coffee. You can mix and match a bit, and is plenty. They have a larger size if you intend to share(though really the $ 5 was probably enough for a date between two people!). They also have soups, fresh salads and other entrees that tout light and healthy ingredients, so no fried chicken or wings here. The single server worked quickly and efficiently, no issues and a hot water or cold water refresh here and there as we needed it. A good view out the Bloomingdale’s third story to the parking lot and the parkway beyond.

What is there not to love at 40 Carrots! Ingredients are fresh, servers are great, the food is fantastic and their smoothies and fresh squeezed juices are beyond tasty. Totally recommend, you will not be disappointed!

Simple and fresh ingredients. Selection is limited. However the yogurt desert is excellent. Great place for a quick bite.

Very rude and obnoxious waitresses, but the most unbearable is the Hispanic hostess. The«healthy» food is over-salted and full of fat. Also, they do not permit any dogs in here but service dogs, but I have seen a customer fill up a tea mug(from a room with a register that can be viewed by customers) with water and feed it to her service dog… therefore, they are serving tea from mugs that dogs drink water from. A bit ironic.

Most restaurants in department stores are there simply to accommodate hungry shoppers. They usually offer a variety of food that will best cater to those with generic tastes. Of these restaurants, 40 Carrots is an exceptional exception. They specialize in healthy fare with an emphasis on freshness. It is so good that I have been known to make a special trip to the Short Hills Mall & brave the tortuous parking situation just to go to Bloomingdales and eat there. I usually opt for one of their creative and fresh salads or their mayo less tuna but always start with their creamy carrot soup which is epic. They also have a nice variety of frozen yogurts and juices. All and all, a great choice for someone looking for a healthy meal who may or may not be shopping.

Pretty decent frozen yogurt. I loved my banana whisk with skim milk, honey and banana, except that it was a bit too sweet… People hate carrots might fight this place annoying somehow as there were carrots picture here and there.

This restaurant has a great kid menu with frozen yogurt. The best thing is the tuna salad on pretzel roll. You should taste it. It’s scrumptious. 40 carrots is a good lunch experience.

A little more than I’d normally pay for a salad, Greek spinach pie and fro-yo, but it’s also better than I’d expect at other lower priced diners. Keep in mind that you are paying for the atmosphere as well. This location is situated on the top floor of Bloomington’s to the right exiting the escalator. There is also a 40 Carrots fro-yo stand on the basement level right behind the escalator if you are wanting just fro-yo and not a meal. An added bonus is the free Nespresso café next to the basement stand with awesome free espresso and lattes. This is a great«pick-me-up» spot if you are visiting Short Hills and need a recharge. Definitely looking forward to another visit here.
