Great staff, fun environment. Not a lot of choices for sushi, on the other hand, the menu is varied. A good place to take folks who are«sushi lite.»

I hate to have to give this place two stars because the staff there was actually pretty friendly and accommodating. But the fact is the sushi is just plain lousy. Some of the rice is right out of the freezer and still icy cold because it must be made in advance. Other rolls that I asked for to be specially made — because I didn’t want wasabe — were actually warm . One of the other reviews I saw was spot on in that everything is loaded with spice or wasabe so you can’t taste how for the fish is. I travel a lot and probably eat sushi four times a week. Some of these small places are actually okay even though many are not the greatest. No surprises here the staff is likely just folks who want to work a part-time job at the mall so they aren’t sushi experts and sadly it shows. With the lunch bill of over $ 59 it should be better. I don’t mind paying high prices and they often eat a lot but this was $ 50 poorly spent.

The concept of serving food on a conveyor belt is clever and there was a nice ambiance, but overall I’m not impressed. The food and sushi did not taste authentic or fresh. It felt like I was eating sushi from a grocery store. The service was courteous, but slow. Would recommend going to an actual Japanese restaurant if you’re looking for something authentic.

A new sushi restaurant in short hills mall. Try it out of curiosity. The atmosphere is good, waitress is very friendly. Most dishes on track are repetitive but u can order anything on the menu. The only downside is the food. Sushi doesn’t taste that good. Tried a couple sushi. It seems several are covered with spicy sauce that deteriorates the sushi flavor per se. Also the chicken katsu curry seems coming out of microwave. The meat is over heat and the rice is lukewarm. I would say it’s a good place for quick easy lunch but not a place for real sushi lover.
