This resetraunt has improved a lot since the new owner came in at the beginning of 2015. He is an amazing chef and is very concerned about all of his customers. I ordered 4 fish they gave me 5 and added 2 hush puppies for free!!!

The Strip, Las Vegas, NV
We have now eaten at two of these restaurants. One in Waco, TX and now this one in Shreveport, LA. The food is always excellent. It has always been more food than we can eat. The shrimp is huge!!! You get more than is suppose to come with your order and the fish fillet are huge to. Again you get more pieces. The price is excellent! We always bring home enough for another meal!!! LOVE IT! I highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for a great meal at an excellent price!!!

Sam’s has expanded and grown in Shreveport-​Bossier so fast. I love eating here despite the rumors about where the fish comes from and the steroid shrimp. Ordering your food for take-​out hasnt been an issue but you can also call it in just as well as dine-​in. You gets a large amount of food for less than $ 10 a meal. My fav is baked fish with blackened oysters. The desserts are also pretty good. The service is always great and overall nice staff.

This is a fast food type restaurant. Had to wait a little bit for the food. I had the 3 whole cat fish. A lot of food for one person and taste ok but not great.

MASSIVE SHRIMP! MASSIVE! HUGE PORTIONS! HUGE!
I wouldn’t order more than six of them! You can order the sides that come with them too, but you ain’t gonna get to ‘em.
Best fried Shrimp in all of the ‘Port City! There, I said it! Yeah, I said it! Never had anything else on the menu, couldn’t tell you about nothing else on the menu! Get the shrimp! And get them fried! You won’t be hungry again ’til Thanksgiving!

This review is for the greenwood ave location in Shreveport. You get plenty of food for the money, and you will not go home hungry. I’ve been there several times, so I’m a big fan. But you know what you get. Everything is deep fried, but you should know that walking into the place. For something different I had the cheese steak, it was very surprisingly good. Especially since I’ve had the real philly cheese steak from philly. I highly recommend it if your from out of town, or you have guest visiting you.

NOT BAD. CHEAP FOOD. FAST FOOD ENVIRONMENT. THIS WAS NOT ON MY DIET. FIRST OF ALL THE COMMERCIAL ON THE RADIO LURED ME. I THOUGHT I WAS GETTING AUTHENTIC CAJUN/​SOUTHERN COOKING. THERE WAS FRIED FRIED AND FRIED FOOD.
I tried stuffed shrimp. They did not tell me it was also fried. I enjoyed it though. The dirty rice was nasty. The shrimp were truly jumbo and beer battered. The fried fish was I think basa fish tasted like catfish though. There was alot of food for the price.
