Doesn’t it just make your day when you find an unexpected gem? Uptowne is certainly one of those. Clean, comfortable and DELICIOUS food. Terrific service from the owner and his son. We started with pumpkin soup from the specials board and it was great. The fatoosh salad and shwarma were also outstanding. Can’t wait to go back and explore the rest of the menu.

And of course really tasty food!
I had the Beef Platter and the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich (wrap), two of them actually! No pickles and fries on the side.
The garlic sauce was really good and it was well balanced.
Definitely coming here again!!!

Great friendly owned and run place. People always greet with a smile. Love their cheesesteak sandwich! Has a nice light toast on bread and not too greasy like most others. Fries are nice steak size most of the time.

Little mom and pop restaurant hidden away in a strip mall on Route 9. The décor and service leave a lot to be desired but the food is great. I tried the chicken shawarma and falafel sanwhich, both were great. Get extra garlic sauce!

Although the people working there were super nice, the food was nothing special. The gyro meat was preformed, the salad that came with my spicy lamb tekka had been sitting the dressing for awhile so was slightly limp and brownish. The only thing that tasted homemade was the hummus which was great. The pita was warmed up in the microwave and very thin (which made it hard to scoop up the hummus).
All in all, if you had to eat here, it’s better than McDonalds but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Good place for falafel and shawarma. Prices are low and the sandwiches are tasty. I have a weakness for fries with my falafel, but I’ll skip them here. They’re the frozen bagged variety and while cooked for your order, they’re still not very good. I’ll just get an order of grape leaves or some hummus next time.

The baklava! Holy smokes the baklava! I’ve never been a fan of the cloyingly sweet dessert but the lady here REALLY knows how to make a great baklava!
Uptown Mediterranean is a family run business, and its always such a delight to come here. We’ve eaten here so often that I sometimes feel I should invite their family over for dinner! Its a weekly ritual for us to get their chicken shawarmas. Its always fresh, and you can really tell that you’re eating a home cooked meal.
They also do mean shawarma sandwiches — extremely tender and juicy meat, along with generous amounts of fries! Yes, they add fries to their sandwiches!
Great food, adorable family, and the baklavas to die for! Seriously, go try their baklavas! You can thank me later!

so I’ve been going to this place for the longest time, absolutely love their food! great burgers and shwarma … its healthy and fresh and as good as it gets!
its a nice family owned business, with decent ambience .the service is just superb, i could give them a thumbs up and more based on my own experience, i reached the place to grab n go and they had just closed, they opened up their doors took my order making me the least bit awkward or uncomfortable!

est Lebanese Restaurant outside of Lebanon! Would request it to anyone who wants to try authentic delicious Lebanese food. Everytime I go, the food is overwhelming with flavor. Everything is done by hand from this one remarkable cook. For the price of the food, the portions are also very large. From the shawarma, to the hummus, to the kababs everything tastes amazing. If you want to experience the true taste of Lebanon then visit this restaurant ASAP.

Great food for great price! We tried their hummus and chicken shawarma platter. Hummus was better than any other hummus I have had and the shawarma platter was plenty for two us.
The customer service is also exceptional. We were greeted and checked with many times to make sure if we needed anything. They treated other customers similarly.

Very nice and gem in the Shrewsbury for Mediterranean gyros, sharma and falafel. Very warm and welcoming owners who always greet with warmth and a good smile.
Food is great and at a very reasonable prices. We usually eat chicken lamb and falafel roll ups.
Great food never stops from this place.

Very quick service which is great if you want to take something to go. We picked up a chicken shawarma and a gyro from here. The shawarma here comes with french fries inside… it was something different that what I had tried before but it did taste really good! The gyro was just excellent, one of the best I have ever had.
The place looked neat and clean. The people are also very friendly.

Tried to find shawarma and this place appeared on Unilocal.Bad idea, should have know it was in a strip mall with a bunch of boarded up businesses.
You walk into this awful looking restaurant and we ordered 2 shawarma wraps. They came out and definitely tasted like some pre-​packaged product loaded with this terrible cinnamon flavor.
If your going to have no atmosphere you have to have a great product. This place delivers neither.
Thanks
