I come here for their Wednesday wine and wing happy hour regularly. It’s 2 $ for 3 wings. The service is great in the bar area. Bob the bartender is great and always takes care of us. They have a different happy hour special each night. There are 6 tvs in the bar area showing all sports so it’s a good place to watch a game.

Came here for Sunday brunch, and sat on the patio since the weather was nice. We just got there when they were opening around 10ish and found service to be really slow. If you needed creamer and sugar for your coffee that took 15 minutes and if you needed hot sauce to go with your eggs another 15 minutes, when it got to the check and to-go box we actually had to go inside to flag down the staff member to get it going. This place was not busy, with only one other table that arrived halfway through our meal so not sure what the waitress was doing inside. Maybe because we arrived too close to their opening time? Service was attentive when provided and polite just feel weird staring at empty plates waiting for the a check that never showed up. Food was what you would expect of a breakfast food from a bar and grill place, inexpensive at around $ 10 a plate. Nothing spectacular, though I hear the reason why people go here is either for the mimosas in the morning or to hear some music at the evening.

I love this restaurant. It’s my favorite because I can dine with my dogs. I HIGHLY recommend anything Argentine on the menu. Definitely the best empanadas I’ve ever tasted, and the skirt steak is always tender and flavorful. Salmon is a standing special, and it’s always deliciously prepared. On Taco Tuesday, they serve some of the best street tacos around. On Wine Wednesdays, bottles of wine are only $ 10. Thursdays is burger and beer for $ 10. Burgers are tasty. Another reason why I love this place is because the owner and staff are very accommodating. Wayne is our man here. The servers treat me like I’m Queen Lattifa. Even the chef! If I want a chicken dish, the chef will make me something delicious. Also, the drinks here are priced to keep you coming back. Bob makes a mean drink too. Martinis are only $ 7 or $ 8 for a large glass. This is also a great place for catching sports. Several TVs in the bar and even one in the covered patio. They even carry the Dodgers channel. A definite must in my book.

My friends and I love coming here for the nightly specials especially the cheeseburger and beer night! The service is great(we love Wayne) and the burger is yummy. Although this restaurant is supposed to be Argentine fair, I find the all American dishes incredibly tasty and that’s what I usually order. I have yet to see it packed, but we could be coming on an odd night, which is fine because I don’t like noisy eateries. There is a beautiful patio to eat in including the bar and dining room. The bathroom could use a little face lift, but there is plenty of toiler paper stocked, which is always a plus. All in all, it’s a nice place to eat in Sierra Madre.

This place is just average. The food was okay, the service was okay, full bar and dogs allowed is cool. Wouldn’t mind going back, but if I didn’t, I wouldn’t be upset.

Easy five stars… and DOGFRIENDLY! Pepper Tree Grill is one of the BEST restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley/foothill area — while they specialize in Argentinian meals, the rest of their family friendly menu is outstanding! This place has a Monday Night Football buffet — that is SECONDTONONE! Tonight, I’m eating my second round of: –Ribs –Chicken –Meatloaf –cheese rigatoni pasta –Mashed potatoes –beans –rolls w/honey butter –corn bread –cookies –brownies(best peanut butter brownie ever) $ 15.95 all you can eat One of the reasons that this is a top pick aside from the great food, it they are family oriented but with a great informal, pub atmosphere… and they are DOGFRIENDLY! Nothing like eating well and watching a game on the patio with your dog. The crew is VERY friendly. Katy and Bob treat you like family and Bob makes it a point to come out and hang with your dog! Katy even prepared my Doodle a turkey patty with a bowl of water. If you are looking for a new restaurant to try — come to the Pepper Tree Grill and you(and your dog) will become a regular!

Wayne was great with Sadie and PGZ. Their empanadas are super and their Bloody Mary’s fantastic

In all honesty, I would go straight to the main entrees. I had the skirt steak with garlic roasted potatoes + tomato and onion vinaigrette, and I have to say it was delicious and cooked to perfection. The place is also very nice and with a good, relaxed atmosphere; it also has a bar with different screens playing different sports channels. However, I gave it 3 stars because appetizers are not to die for; had the Argentinian sausage and the matambre, and I hate to say it, but they were not good, and the sangría is just ok.

Was lured into this fine establishment by the sweet sounds of the Dive Bar Messiahs band that were playing great live music that night. Looked at the menu posted outside and was further intrigued. Having walked out of the Buccaneer after poking our heads in there the vibe was wrong at that moment. Sierra Madre is such a quaint little place lost in time. So we walked and ended up here. Bob, the bartender was attentive and informative letting us know of Taco Tuesday’s as well as Sunday brunch with a delicious quiche that is served up. Bryan, the owner introduced himself and was very nice as well. I asked him about the Argentinian food and he provided his background which served as a great reference point for authenticity of the food served. Sadly, they do not serve up «sweetbreads» but I can overlook that when some very delicious empanadas were brought up to the bar. The empanadas were stuffed and were deep fried perfectly so the buttery dough sealed all that great filling inside. The green salsa aka chimchurri was garlicky and awesome for dipping. They have PBR on tap as well as other beers like 805. Prices were reasonable and a great time was had at this well-heeled restaurant bar. We will definitely come back and get some steaks next time. The have a front patio that is cozy and inviting. This place is down further on the drag, on the very edge of town but it’s so worth it to go there for something different and special. Keep up the good work Bryan!

I would’ve gave this place a zero if it wasn’t for the strong drinks. My wife and I sat at a table, and waited, and waited, and waited, for someone to ask us if we wanted a menu or food. No one even acknowledged us for an hour and a half, and that was only because she came to clean our table of our empty drink glasses. We asked for menus at that time and she said«well what time is it, because our kitchen closes at 10.» Well thats nice, we’ve been siting here for over an hour and have never been asked once if we needed anything. The worst part is, we were there for our sons baseball fundraiser, and we got treated like we didn’t exist. The table directly to the left of us, and to the right of us, got plenty of customer service. We counted 6 times that the wait staff checked on both of those tables. We will NEVER return to this place.

The Peppertree Grill is the best. Everything I’ve tried on the menu is outstanding. Great atmosphere, good, live music, and of course hand-poured drinks the old fashioned way. Bob behind the bar is awesome. The best service around. Try the Argentine Chicken. You won’t be disappointed. Chuck P. from Arcadia

Overall, this place was fine. I had the Argentinian chicken that really didn’t taste any better than chicken that I can pick up from the grocery store. However, it was a large portion and came with some tasty carrots/broccoli and plenty of fries that were pretty solid. The husband got something that looked like a beef cutlet, which was not really that good. He said that our server had heavy smoker’s breath, though fortunately I was never close enough to him to notice. Service was attentive though not very warm. Due to the water shortage, you need to ask for water to be brought out, though it’s a large glass and is refilled regularly.
