Great service and good food. Very good oven brick pizza with a thin crust. The pizzas are all personal pan sized and not too overwhelming for one person. Appetizer: bruschetta Capri was delicious! Would definitely order this again. Comes with 4 slices. Entrees: campagnola salad– sooo good, love the balsamic with the combo of roasted peppers and shaved Parmesan. Parmigianella: very good. it does not come with too much red sauce and the eggplant is cooked to taste almost like mushrooms. Poverella: this is a very good option for vegetarians. Comes with lots of veggies, slightly under seasoned for our taste, but nothing a little balsamic vinaigrette or chili flakes couldn’t handle. Dessert: tiramisu — was delicious! chocolate profiteroles– I’m usually not a huge fan of these, but it was sooo good! The chocolate coated cream puffs was light and fluffy. Definitely ordering this again!

On a back alley in Silver Spring(although there is also an entrance on Georgia Avenue) is one of the best pizza places in all of Montgomery County. Not only are the pizzas great, but the salads and appetizers are as well. The staff is always friendly, helpful, attentive without being intrusive, and willing to accommodate specific tastes. The prices are very reasonable, and the ambience is both warm and comfortable. We go often and have never been disappointed.

Excellent pizza. I usually have the margherita and it didn’t disappoint. I will definitely suggest this place to friends.

Amazing pizza and good service, reasonably priced and I loved, loved, loved the house wine. The environment was really classy, especially the outdoor seating. So wonderful for a summer evening dinner. They have their own tomato plants :-). Only issue is that we have been having issues using a gift card and for some reason they would not apply it… the process to give gift cards was a hassle for us, but other than that, a great restaurant.

By far the best pizza in Silver Spring, and at the top for the entire DMV area. Good location, less than 10 min walk from the metro with plenty of parking in the nearby parking garage. Inside can be tight sometimes, but usually there is no wait for a table. The pizza is very tasty and very traditional Italian. You can choose to substitute some toppings, for example I usually take the Napoli and trade anchovies for roasted peppers. If you have room for dessert, their tiramisu is my favorite.

Calzones and pizza are great, but the marinara sauce on its own tastes like its from a can. We’ll go back, though.

I come from Cali and I go to Tony’s Pizza Napoletana in SF all the time, which is widely regarded as the best pizza in the country, so I know what good pizza is. Pacci’s is legit. They proof their dough in plastic boxes, the wood fired oven is fueled with a good quality wood, they are most likely using a 00 flour or something similar from Italy, and the sauces are on point. The appetizers we tried(salad, bruschetta) were excellent also. The Tartufo was excellent, although a note to the owners: you may want to try chèvre on that one instead of mozzarella. I think you’d be pleasantly surprised. All in all a solid place for good authentic Italian style pizza. If I lived here I’d definitely return often!

Awesome pizza! The service can be kind of slow, but you really can’t beat the pizza. It’s definitely one of the best places in the DMV. If you’re going on a date, I suggest splitting a pizza and saving room for dessert, you won’t be disappointed.

5 years later and I still love this place. Pizza is still wonderful, outdoor seating area is great and small but excellent selection of draught beers. Happiness on a plate.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review earlier. I LOVE this place. I’ve traveled across Italy and I still think that Pacci’s is the best pizza I’ve had in my life. I always get the Diavola. It’s so good, but stay away if you can’t handle spicy food. I think what really makes this place special is the sauce they use on their pizza. They should seriously sell it. I also always get this lavender cocktail(can’t recall the name) but it’s sooooo good! The bruschetta is also delicious. I just get the regular one. This place seems to be family owned and the staff is always very friendly. They somewhat recently renovated the outdoor patio. It’s pretty big and nicely shaded. I come here as often as I can and have brought friends and family here and they all loved it to.

High ceilings, brick building, tables crowded around a bar, an intimate space for an early afternoon lunch. Pretty happy with my pizza — crispy, yet fluffy crust, fresh ingredients all around. Very consistently good across all the orders(3 pizzas at our table for 4 people), and definitely true Italian flavors. We shared an appetizer platter as well — caprese salad, olives, everything was delicious, including whatever that thing is where you wrap some Italian deli meat around cantaloupe — so weird, but kept me going back! Pacci’s has a bottled root beer to go with the pizza(classic American pairing!), as well as a house wine from Adega that was solid. They do what they do well, but know what your getting: this isn’t your typical American bread, cheese, and meat monstrosities. It’s about the flavors. Thanks Pacci’s!

Came here for lunch recently and was pleasantly surprised. Two words: pizza brunch. I haven’t tried it but hope to soon. LOCATION: It’s a few blocks and a short walk away from the recently updated area of downtown Silver Spring. They’re also directly across from the new fire station so just be aware of that in terms of parking etc. Most of the time they turned off their sirens but still just a good thing to know. FOOD: While I wouldn’t say it’s the absolute best Neapolitan pizza in the DMV, it certainly is the best I’ve had in MoCo. The cherry tomato salad(tomatoes, mozzarella, cucumbers, basil, balsamic, EVOO) was quite delicious and large enough to share. In my vast pizzeria experience you don’t often see this salad on a menu even though you’d expect it. As simple as it may seem I love that they offer this staple dish of Italian cuisine. Per other Unilocal reviews I gave the La Diavola pizza a try. Good job fellow Unilocalers! If you sit inside you can literally see your pizza as it’s coming out of the oven. It was piping hot and oozy. I like some heat and this pizza had just enough spice for me without having to add any red pepper flakes. As others have said it’s much better at the restaurant when it’s hot and fresh. I took my leftovers home for dinner later that night and it was substantially worse than most leftovers are… which is pretty typical for Neapolitan pizza. All in all, great food and the best pizza in Silver Spring by far. They have a great selection of white pizzas(also hard to find) as well as a brunch that includes pizza. A place after my own heart! Will have to come back for pizza brunch soon. SERVICE: The service was great. Immediately when you walk into this place you can feel that it’s a family owned business which is awesome as family run businesses seem to be few and far between these days. Our waiter was very attentive and everyone there was super friendly. I can see how things might get a bit hectic during dinner service but again, Neapolitan pizzerias seem to lend themselves to that. BOTTOMLINE: Gobble up the tasty pizza at the restaurant. If you want leftovers maybe get a salad to go as the pizza is best fresh and hot out of their oven. Also, pizza brunch? Yes please!

If you haven’t been to Pacci’s you need to drop whatever you are doing and go get your first taste RIGHTNOW. If you just aren’t feeling the typical«American» pizza that you find everywhere, then head to Pacci’s. The service is very fast despite it being a popular restaurant. If you are getting carry out you usually are find just ordering when you get there. The times I have done this the pizza only takes a few minutes to bake. Still, the best idea is to dine in. I always get the La Diavola pizza. It is quite spicy but so delicious. The crust is thin so be careful not to make a mess. I strongly suggest not sharing your pizza ;) it’s small enough for a hungry person to eat in one sitting. You can watch them make your pizza as well. I have also had the Quattro Stagioni which was also good(not my favorite, though). The appetizers are all tasty as well. Of note… you should also try Pacci’s Trattoria. They also have the pizzas from this place there!

We have now eaten here 3 times — BEST. PIZZA. EVER. and to show you how much I love this establishment-1 time we were driving down from PHILADELPHIA to FLORIDA. The last time we were actually attending a convention in Washington D.C. «Simply the best — Better than all the rest!»(sing it!)

Paccis is my favorite pizza in good ol silva sprang. I think my favorite part is the crust. I love dipping the crust in olive oil at home when I take out. Sometimes the crust underneath the toppings get a little soggy but if you eat everything fresh it’s just fine. I’ve had the Quattro pizza which has four different kinds of toppings, a white pizza with arugula on top, and my favorite, The Diavola. Spicy salami, mozzarella, and basil goodness with red sauce. I make it even spicier by dousing it in red pepper flakes. If you order an appetizer then treat yo self with some meatballs. They are absolutely perfect with their tomato sauce. The outside is totally unassuming, but the ambience inside is quite nice. I can’t wait to eat pizza in the patio when summer rolls along.

I like this place and so does my wife. Pros: It does good high end pizza at a great price. They have some nice beers, and have recently improved upon them. I like the space. There are plenty of 2 seater tables and also family sized tables towards the back. They have an outdoor area in Summer too. We’ve always had great service here. Cons: None really.

Awesome pizza. Very authentic Italian. Crust was good wish they gave olive oil for dipping it. The cocktails were also delish. The waiter was nice and the service was quick. The ambiance is casual but still nice enough for date night. There is also a bar and a patio. Ill be back for sure.

Great experience with wonderful food, a home style atmosphere, and fantastic service. Went to Pacci’s with my family and had a great time. Ordered a pitched of sangria($ 20 for about 6 – 7 full glasses — what a deal!), meatball sub, pacci sub, margherita pizza, Diablo pizza, and tiramisu and it was phenomenal. Georgi was our waiter and he was beyond words… Definitely going back!

My husband and I were having a hankering for pizza on a Saturday night. We recently moved to the area(we live in nearby Takoma), and have yet to find our go-to pizza place. Given the number of positive Unilocal reviews, I thought that this place would be better. First off, I do have to say kudos for an easy online ordering system. However, I read that you get a 10% discount for pickup orders over a certain dollar amount. I met the threshold and the 10% discount did not kick in upon checkout. I chalked it up to a technical glitch and moved on. I literally placed the order and then my husband and I hopped in the car to go pick it up. When I arrived there was some confusion about my order, and I had to stand around for a few minutes waiting for the bread to accompany our two pizzas. I was disappointed that the side of bread turned out to be just a couple pieces of toasted Italian bread with butter(I mean ok, the side of bread was only $ 1 so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but it wasn’t this). Anyway, our two pizzas(we ordered the Quattro Formaggi and the Parmigianella) must have been put in the oven immediately after I placed the order online, because by the time we got them home(like, a 5 minute drive away), they were quite cold. The crust was too thin for my liking and I found the toppings to be flavorless. I gladly let my husband take the leftovers to work the following day because I just really wasn’t thrilled with the pizza. I am really bummed we didn’t have a better experience here because it seemed so promising. I might try dining in here in the future to see if the experience differs, but honestly I think I will try out other local pizza places first.

The food was decent, and I really wanted to love Paccis, but«eh» really sums my experience. The outdoor patio is gorgeous, and is what really brought us in on a beautiful Sunday. The greeting was warm, but the service was pretty minimal. Once we were seated, we decided to fetch our own menus rather than wait around for them to show up. After what seemed like an oddly long time, our waiter surfaced, and took our orders. The menu was a bit unusual — no sides. I generally don’t like eating pizza alone with no salad. When no one wanted a full sized salad, the waiter informed us they aren’t that big, and we can share. I don’t want to spend another $ 9+ on a «not that big salad» when I’m already ordering a somewhat pricey pizza. Eventually our waters(and coffee) arrived. It was a pretty warm day, so a little sooner would have been nice. My husband got a salad that looked really good, and I opted for a pizza topped with spinach(at least trying to get some veggies in), and black olives. There was an extraordinarily generous amount of spinach atop my pizza, but only a small spattering of olives. Granted they were full, unsliced olives of the very salty variety, but I think a few more were warranted. The outer half of the pizza was pretty good, and had a nice taste and texture, but the inner half was very limp and a little soggy. The atmosphere is really nice, and the bar area looks cozy, but more efficient service is definitely needed.

I’m always on the lookout for a new pizza place to try. Coming from Western New York, the options of pizza places are endless. Since moving to the DC area, I’ve found the pizza places to be endless too… endless freakin’ disappointments! How a metro area with such a large population struggles with pizza is beyond me, but nonetheless I was looking forward to checking out Paccis. Located in downtown Silver Spring, just a few blocks from the DC/Maryland border, Paccis provides wood oven baked Neapolitan pizzas in a small but sleek restaurant space. The whole walk-in process is a little awkward. You kinda just seat yourself and then wait for someone to notice you. There is also a self-service computer, which seems to be geared towards regulars who want to place a to-go order. Once we were noticed, the service was actually very good. Our waiter was very welcoming and relatively attentive. Actually, the service was probably the best thing about the experience. I tried the Margherita pizza, which consisted of san marzano tomato sauce, mozzarella, parmesan, and basil. Basically, the pizzas come in a small/personal size, which is meant to feed one person. Yeaaaaa, not so much. I wasn’t even really hungry before I ate it, but afterwards it was like I hadn’t even eaten anything. While I appreciated the freshness of the pizza and could taste quality ingredients, there wasn’t much flavor. Additionally, the crust was super thin, especially towards the center. Skin flap comes to mind. The prices are average for the general area. In other words, it was overpriced for what it was. Overall, the food was just ok, but definitely in the bottom tier of pizza I’ve had in my life. Ironically, if I rank it amongst pizza I’ve had in the DC area, it’s probably in the top 10, maybe even top 5. Wow, I shuddered after reading that line. Good thing I can hop on a plane and get some real stuff whenever I want! Bottom line, if you’re expecting Paccis to be a shining star, I suggest you get a new telescope. I’d probably return just because I’m in that area at least weekly, the service was excellent and the dessert pizzas(made with real nutella and fruit) looked really good. That said, my expectations are now more realistic. 1.5 stars for the pizza, .5 for the service.

Happy 4th Anniversary, Pacci’s! My newest favorite pizza: Al Tartufo — provola, mushrooms, truffle oil, and basil. It is heavenly! I like that there’s just a hint of truffle oil, so it’s not overly«musty» tasting. Given that it’s a white pizza, the flavor is really intense. I pass close by Pacci’s on my weekday commute along East-West Hwy., so I often pick up a pizza on the way home. So, four o’clock is no longer tea time. It’s Pacci’s time! It’s not busy then, and the cook is really sweet. I’m doing happy hour a block away tomorrow, so you can guess where dinner is going to be!
