My first time here — met up with my friends. You go up to the counter and put in your order, then a server will bring it to your table. I ordered a slice of cheese pizza and a veggie slice — both slices were quite tasty. Each individual slice is about half of a large dinner plate; so a good size. The crust is thin but still had a good chew to it — all the while sturdy enough that your toppings aren’t falling off. The restaurant was clean, service was great, and the food was delish. I’ll be back for sure!

Never a disappointing pizza. I like their penchant for spicy or seafood toppings. But they are more than just pizza; pretty much everything on the menu is great. Sometimes I’ll stop in for a salad which are unexpectedly good for a pizza shop.

Bit of a belated update but I recently had pizza from this establishment again and it was good! I also got a very polite and informative response from the management here which made a very positive impact. Check ‘em out, maybe hold the anchovy though :)

This pizza is good. So so good. But pricy. If you have kids and like to drink, eating early during happy hour gets you half price draft beers and house wines! The clam pizza(new haven?) is salty delicious, and the meaty pizza(cutler’s) also very tasty. Love the thin crust. We each got a nine inch, of which we ate half/three quarters of. We also split a very good small caesar salad. i’m looking forward to eating here regularly, and trying out the pasta and gelato!

Awesome and authentic! Just what we were looking for in Silver Spring, Md. Ordered margarita and it had plenty of fresh basil. Very good. And a half olive and half pepperoni pizza. Also two salads: the cobb and the goat cheese salad. Both very good. And the olives were kalamativ Everything was terrific!!!

This is a second review after the manager Nelson at Pete’s went out of his way to fix my not so great first experience. My second visit here was perfect… I say that because service means alot to me and they definitely did their part. Everyone was very friendly. they all greeted me. Thanks to manager Ben and the guy who rang me up with the slight UK accent for being so nice. Now let me review the pizza on my second visit that made up for the first not so great visit… The pizza was perfect! I enjoyed every bite and it was the highlight of my day! I ordered the vegetarian«Edge of the Woods» and added sauteed mushrooms, garlic and basi(cuz I love me some basil on pizza) It was one of the most delicious pizzas Ive had in a long while. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to give you all a second chance. It is management like this in which puts in the extra bit of effort to make up for not so great experiences that turns the business around. Great management of your Unilocal reviews and involvement in what your customers are saying on the social media tip. The only thing I have to say negative about the place is that the pizza is a bit pricey at around $ 25-$ 30 for a large. I just wish for that they would put organic veggies/ingredients on their pizzas — then I would for sure come more often. Keep up the good work guys — Nelson, Ben & crew !

The pizza was all flipped over and a mess when we got it. I’m not sure how that happened. The flavor of the pizza was extremely bland and did not taste good. We got pepperoni on it(along with pineapple and onion) and both my roommate and I agreed we couldn’t taste it. For an almost $ 30 pizza, I wouldn’t order it again based off this experience. We ended up throwing most of it in the trash.

I had been to eat at the restaurant and I found the food to be okay. I ordered delivery and it was terrible. I WOULDSTRONGLYRECOMMENDNEVERORDERINGDELIVERYFROMTHISRESTAURANT. ITISNOTWORTHIT. The food took an hour and a half even though the restaurant is down the street from my house. When I called about the order the person who answered the phone said the delivery would be there in 5 minutes but it took an additional 20 miuntes. The driver could not find his way in my building. This was the worst delivery service.

Pete’s is really great. The lunch special is a pizza slice, salad and soda, nice price and out in just a few minutes. The pizza selection is stellar, combinations you would never think of on your own, I say to people that it is ‘artisan pizza’. Top of the line Puck sodas and craft beers, all really good. Pete’s counter staff is consistently nice and attentive, use that tip jar. They’re really good about following my order. I get a pizza to take home while having lunch, the staff has the timing down, bring it to the table at just the right time. Amazes me when I see pizza boxes come into my 18 story office building for seminar attendees. They’re pizzas from Domi-gag or Poppa… when you have Pete’s? Attention all food businesses… new age work hours start at 6:00 a.m., so 11 is Lunch. A lot of places don’t serve early enough to accommodate… you just move on to the next phone call… the boss says pizza for the 11:30 meeting, 11:30 it is. Pete’s deserves its success, really great satisfying selection all the time, friendly people, Pete’s is a great neighborhood place, they have wi-fi too. All they need are some artisan, friendly parking spaces… we’d be there three times a week.

This is as close as I have gotten to actually having New Haven pizza in New Haven. I’ll tell you why — and it’s a pretty pathetic story. I was visiting my friend in Middletown, CT, and asked her if we could make a trip to Yale/Frank Pepe’s. Our time around Yale was a little longer then we had planned, and by the time we got to Frank Pepe’s the line was too long — and we had another event we had to get to. I actually CRIED in the car(discreetly). Anyway, I think this story is why I have such a love for Pete’s. It’s delicious clam pizza, and it’s INDC/MD(and it’s as close as I’ve come to the real thing). At Pete’s, we always get the clam pizza, but the Merrit Parkway and Napoletana are great as well. Actually, I’ve never had anything at Pete’s that wasn’t really great. This place is perfect for getting a pizza, pasta, and salad to take home to the fam on a weeknight. Besides the pizza, try the Rags of Pasta and the crispy goat cheese salad! It’s a bit pricey, but it’s quality pizza!

My neighborhood go-to pizza place. I really like the pizza here and I think it is best when you come in person because the delivery service can be pretty slow and they charge $ 4 to deliver. Whenever I go in I am never disappointed, the pizza is really good. And I enjoy that all the ingredients taste fresh and not artificial like a lot of commercial pizza places. I would love this place even more if they had turkey pepperoni for the people who don’t eat pork: D

So happy to have Petes open up in this new location nearby! The food is always great here and they offer monthly specials if you sign up for their email club! Combine that with their half priced beers during happy hour and you have some great food for a great price. My only complaints– you don’t get to pick your own table like at many other locations–(only an issue when we come with a stroller and baby in tow and would like to sit further away from people to be less disruptive!) and I got some cookies that were supposedly made there but we’re hard as a brick– stick with cannolis!

It’s pretty much got everything you need. Pizza(obviously), artisan sodas, microbrews, gelato, and wine! Everything is priced mid-range for this area. I really love the chewy/crunchy crust. It’s chewy under the sauce, but crunchy on the underside. They use local and organic ingredients, so they really are checking all the boxes. From a customer service angle, which is extremely important to me, there was a mix-up with a delivery order I placed. We ordered 2 pizzas and one had pancetta instead of milano ham. I had already eaten enough of the other pizza to be full, so instead of replacing the pizza right then they have me a credit, no hassle. It’s always nice when you’re not treated like you’re trying to get one over. It has a lively atmosphere with a mix of families, couples, and young ruffians out getting ready for a night of spirited carousing.

I’m putting another star in my review because they are just consistently good. I also am not understanding the 2 star and 3 star reviews they are getting just because it’s more expensive than pizza hut or dominos. The funny thing is, every time I am forced to order from Pizza Hut or Dominos for whatever reason, I realized I usually spend $ 30-$ 40 which is exactly what I would have spent at Pete’s. If you really feel like it’s too expensive, you can eat your cardboard pizza for the same price. There is no way this pizza is on the same level as Pizza Hut or Dominos so comparing them in price(when it really isn’t that big of a difference) is moot.

Liked the food, hated the attitude. Came in a little more than half an hour before the store was about to close. Wasn’t greeted or acknowledged when we came in, and weren’t sure where the menus were. We walked to the register, and found some and as we began to look it over, the guy behind the counter(Jonathan A. was the name on the receipt) announces, loudly, that they’re closing in 5 minutes. Okay. It’s just two of us there, and he was standing 10 feet from us. As loud as he was, you’d think he was talking to the whole restaurant. A guy who was either the owner or manager tells him that it’s ok, and to let us order(Gee thanks. Didn’t know we needed permission to spend our money.) As we review the menu, Jonathan parks himself directly in front of us at the register, and starts tapping his fingers impatiently. He tapped and tapped the entire time, right up until we ordered. At one point, I looked up at him thinking he would get the hint and knock it off. Nope… he just kept right on tapping. I was ready to leave after that(If I’m inconveniencing you with my business, I’ll gladly take it elsewhere), but boyfriend wanted to try the white pizza with clams. So we did. The medium was the perfect size for two, and overall, it was a pretty good pizza. A bit more oily than I’m used to, and since it was fresh out of the oven, I had to eat it over the box to avoid dripping oil on my clothes, like boyfriend did. Whatever cheese they used gave the the pie a great flavor and tied all the other flavors together nicely. Had it not been for the attitude, this would have been a 3.5, maybe 4 star review, and maybe a return visit. However, there are too many places to eat in downtown Silver Spring to deal with rude staff… I don’t care what time of day or evening it is. Next time I get a pizza craving, &Pizza is a short walk from this place… I’ll be taking my money there from now on.

Like the other Pete’s location in DC and Arlington, this place has the best pizza in DC, and we are partial to the Plain Tomato Pie, which really let’s the flavor of Petes outstanding crust shine through. This is NOT the kind of heavy NY-style cheesy pizza you get at the chains or at places like We The Pizza, nor is it Neapolitan-style personal pies like you find at Etto, Pupatella, or 2 Amys. This is New Haven style: Thin, lightly crisp, chewy, and very flavorful. Highly recommended.

Uhmmm… so this place is happening for parents and young children — the place was packed with people! This was our first time here and we got the small Down the hill pizza, which consisted of Meatball, Sausage, Roasted Peppers, Caramelized Onions, Wild Mushrooms, Kalamata Olives. The pizza was mediocre and nothing to write Unilocal about. We also got the Italian cobb salad, with House-made Pancetta, Grilled Chicken, Avocado, Egg, Point Reyes Blue Cheese, Tomatoes, Champagne Vinaigrette. The cobb salad was also mediocre and the chicken seemed like cold cut chicken. When we left, we also got two pistachio cannoli’s and brought them home. These were the worst cannoli’s I’ve ever had… the filling seemed like it had been sitting there for awhile and there was really no taste to them.

I am definitely a big fan of Pete’s. Here’s what I’ve learned in two years: — Skip the appetizers. They tend to be salty and are pretty much standard fare. — If you come during an off-peak time, you’re much better off if you’re getting a whole pizza instead of slices. The slices tend to taste old and not nearly as good when they’ve been sitting around, even if Pete’s re-heats them for you. — The sodas aren’t very flavorful. I usually just get water LOL. Those little negatives are minor because the pizza is great! If you read my reviews, you’ll see I loooove me some meat but I’m currently obsessed with the vegetarian Edge of the Woods pizza. It’s ricotta, spinach, caramelized onions, and thinly sliced fried eggplant. It’s absolutely out of this world! The combination is delicious, and filling too. The white pizzas(with or without clams) are still faves and are always good. The pizza are expensive compared to delivery chains but they are worth it. Pete’s is always on Groupon so keep an eye on that so you can save some cash. I buy 2 – 3 at a time, go ahead and judge me. The staff is friendly and cheerful overall. Call ahead if you’re getting your pizza to-go and it’s usually ready when you arrive.

My friend really raved about this place. I was unfortunately disappointed. I was in a hurry and just ordered the chef special. It contained all the good stuff you’d hope for in a pizza(sausage, peppers, that you xtra something) but it was all out together in a haphazard fashion.

The restaurant is conveniently located in downtown Silver Spring. The employees are nice and don’t rush the ordering process. This location brings your order to a table(of your choice). There is even a customer loyalty application you can download to earn free and discounted items. I had the Margarita pizza. The portion was large and the prices are decent. The pizza would have been better if it had been cooked a minute or two longer. The chef stopped by my table to ask how we were doing. I explained that the pizza was a bit«soupy» and received an explanation on the cooking process of the cheeses and not an offer to cook it a tiny bit longer. The house salad was good.
