Where is the health inspector. This place is run down and dirty. The tables were not cleaned, there was dried food on the table and trash on the floor. The parking lot was full, but the place was empty(at lunch time). Everyone was at the diner next door. The portions was large but if you’re looking for quantity opposed to quality you won’t find it here. The food was salty and the noodles were rubbery. Not to mention the staff was rude and very unprofessional.

Broth way too salty. I eat salty, and this nearly blinded me with salt.

Decided to try this place out with my sister. It’s a cute little place. We both order P1 their phở d’lite bowl. Their phở only comes in one size, which is just enough. The broth was flavorful and they give you just the right amount of meat.(Well I ordered meatballs too) and the guy was friendly.

So, I’m by no means a Phở«expert» but I’ve had my fair share over the years. That being said, overall I liked this place. Pros: Good size portion to price. 8.50 for a large bowl of phở. Flavorful broth, fresh veggies, noodles that were still firm and not mushy, took care in packing my food to go with friendly service . Cons: where’s the beef? A little skimpy on the meat. They didn’t replace the missing meat with noodles. That was skimpy as well. I’d probably come back to this place again if I was in the area but I wouldn’t make a special trip there because of the cons. However, if they can fix these things they’d be my go to spot for Phở when I’m craving!

If you are expecting authentic Vietnamese or Thai food, prepare yourself because this is definitely a fusion between the two — and it’s decent. I’ve been here twice. The first time, I walked in one evening for quick take out before heading to my night job. I looked at the menu and immediately, the«Bangkok Noodles» caught my eye. It’s pretty much a vermicelli bowl with curry sauce on top, instead of fish sauce dressing. The portion especially for take out was super reasonable, the veggies were fresh and I had grilled shrimp and fried tofu as my protein. They are SUPER generous with the shrimp and the curry sauce is pretty spicy. The last time, I dined in with a Unilocal deal $ 7 for $ 10. I had the veggie phở and shrimp summer rolls. The shrimp summer rolls were okay. They were wrapped super fat, but packed with all lettuce, super thin slices of shrimp and a few noodles. I love rolls with light noodles, but this was all lettuce, and the lettuce was not super fresh. Not worth getting again. The veggie phở came with Asian mushrooms, bok choy and fried tofu. The broth was SUPER bland. I added basil, lime, jalapeño and sriracha. Still super bland. The food both times came out quickly. Service was good. Prices are higher than your usual phở spot. The location is a little hard to find, in an industrial area, hence being on industrial parkway but plenty of parking. If I was to come back, I’d pick the Bangkok noodles. But that’s all I would stick to.

Tiny, clean Jewell of a place serving tasty fresh food… were already planning what we’ll get next. Great options for vegetarians.

I got the Phở Delight and the Asian salad and was blown away by both. Incredible dishes. I look forward to be hungry again and coming back.

The atmosphere has a nice southeast beach feel. May be dimming some of the light a bit will help. 3* their boss speaker playing jazz may be a bit on the boomy side. The real high def sound is from the kitchen. You can hear kitchen worker washing dishes, grinding metal, dropping pot to the sink. Thai tea is alright great to beat the summer heat. I would like a bit more tea taste 4* Phở d’lite combo is 3.5*. the best part of the experience from the dish is the trendy bowl it comes with. The pickled veg is very good. The 2 shrimps seem stale and the fried egg is ok. The fried egg rolls taste greasy n doesn’t have much flavors. The bbq meat is on the dry side, is it just coming out of microwave? The black ho sine sauce tastes funny, too. It is an ok lunch spot. With many other choices around, I am not sure when I will return.

3 Stars, plus one for Alex. That’s right, Alex wins this place an extra star. Phở D’Lite is a solid three star restaurant if I go by taste alone. The friendly server Alex, who is generally on his own in the front of the house, adds a star to this small space, and will help make this a regular request from my boy. The phở is pleasant, but lacks the subtle flavors I really want in a fantastic broth. I do appreciate that they pack plenty of veggies into the bowl, and that the vegetarian option did not leave me hungry. They offer the standard list of options, and are happy to serve you just the broth if you feel like skipping the noodles. The curry and Pad Thai were disappointing, though. The curry was thick and I could not tell the Thai curry from the Penang Curry. The Pad Thai was lightly sauced. So lightly that it was not much more than a bowl of unseasoned noodles. The Shaking Chicken made up for the Pad Thai, though, as it was full of flavor and spice. This dish will be my standard non phở order when I return. And I will return. The Thai Tea is not overly sweet, their location is odd but convenient(to me, anyway!) and their overall presentation makes Phở D’Lite a simple choice for days when we need a quick bowl of soup. They just have to make sure that Alex stays happy in the front of the house, because without him, the stars will begin to fade.

i have fallen in love with this place. i work in the area and a co-worker let me know about this place a few months ago. i now get lunch from there at least once a week. alex, the dude who is usually working front-of-house, is fantastically friendly and always takes care of his customers. my routine is i call and order ahead. my phở is ready to pick up within 10 – 15 minutes. even though i sometimes pick it up late, the broth is always steaming hot. i order the P4 on the menu, which allows me to choose 3 proteins. along with the protiens(i get the eye of round, brisket, & seasoned meatballs), this warm package of joy comes with lime, scallions, cilantro, mint, sciracha, noodles, and a brown sauce. the best thing is to just toss it all in the beef broth at once, mix it up, and start slurping. :) i’m grateful to my co-worker for letting me know about this place, just a little angry that she didn’t let me know about it earlier.

First, I must say I was a little thrown off by the location, It’s not that it is a bad place, but when you compare the space to the food they serve… Man, you wish this place was in downtown DC with a line of people. The food is truly great, it’s a surprise, usually most places like this don’t serve food so good… But The presentation is fantastic and the food tastes amazing, proves to say never judge a book by its cover. Also, the service staff is attentive and friendly. I was truly surprised with this place.

Fantastic service, delicious food, and a cozy atmosphere. This place is the casual phở shop I’ve been dreaming of! We ordered egg rolls and chicken skewers to start, with veggie phở and a side of beef for me and a pork rice bowl with a fried egg for my fiancé. While the chicken skewers weren’t quite to our tastes, everything else was delicious. The fried tofu and noodles in my phở were wonderful, and the side of lean beef in broth was undeniably yummy! My fiancé thoroughly enjoyed his meal as well, though neither of is were able to finish because the portions were so generous. Plus they don’t use msg in their chicken or veggie broths, so it’s that much more awesome. A great little spot to stop in for a quick bite to eat. We will definitely be back!

Phở wins or loses based on the broth. Phở D’Lite is a winner. I especially like the option for more or less noodles. I did half noodles and double meat — perfect. My wife had the vermicelli special which included pork, shrimp and a crispy spring roll — probably enough to feed two, especially with an appetizer. Not a great location but of course that’s why the prices are reasonable. However, if you are having your car serviced around the corner at any of the dozens of car dealerships, as we are, the location is perfect.

I’ve been to both the college park and this location. They taste the same Ordered the P-1/Phở D’lite. Lacked a little flavor 3⁄5 for regular price 4⁄5 for their happy hour half off deal Huge fan of their Thai iced tea. 4⁄5 Also, their appetizers aren’t that bad either. Ordered the chicken satay. Might be a little too salty, but not much. Another big complaint is that this is a terrible location.

Stayed local at a Courtyard less then a mile away. Wanted a gluten free vegan meal. Checked in with Unilocal and got a free Thai tea!!! Really smooth and tasty. Thai leaves, a little sugar and a splash of half n half(yes critter sectetions but just a little). Got the Phở Veggie rice noodle with tofu, chinease broccolli and mushrooms. 8BUCKS, and they should rename it a vegan/vegetarian meal in a bowl.(Well bucket because it was a very substantial serving! It’s all I could handle. I wanted to try the Pad Thai, but did not. $ 8.43FORDINNER. What a deal. I tipped 50% because the service was excellent.(Okay 4 bucks, I felt like Donald Trump for once)

Thanks to Groupon, I would not know this place exists. It is located in a town home style on your right side once you pass a stop sign. Plenty of parking. The place itself is quaint, has about 10 tables. We went there on a Monday early dinner(6pm) and there were only 2 tables. Got seated right away. Our server is friendly and efficient. Our water glass was never empty for more than 5 minutes. My only complaint is that my husband tried to get a substitute and the server did not took the initiative to offer an option. We did not care of we had to pay extra. He just flat out said«no». Food is tasty. There is no option to either get a large or small bowl of phở. They did offer phở with shrimp but they did not took the tail off so you had to do it yourself. The egg rolls consist of two skinny egg rolls. I would definitely come back since it is not crowded therefore service is quick.

I don’t normally like phở. But we stopped by the other day to try it out and the phở was really really good! I have no idea why or how but it was the best phở I’ve had in a while. Vermicelli was standard. I haven’t bad really good vermicelli in a while. The service was kinda off… There’s a server who takes orders and what looked like a food runner type of girl. I got a tinyyy bit of fish sauce for my vermicelli and my bf didn’t get his dish till a while after. The owner happened to come to out table and give us more fish sauce and the phở garnishes. But it’s still new so I wasn’t mad about the service. I do hope it picks up. The owner came and spoke to us a tad. It’s a family run company with a location in college park(first), silver spring, Waldorf, and a couple more opening up(Elliott city and another one). Anyways, I’m happy this place is here! It’s literally down the street from my house. If the phở was as good as the first visit, I think we will come often. Yayyyyy to more(better) food options in the 20904!!!

Holy crap. I’ll be back for sure. Between the delicious phở, delectable spring&summer rolls, and tea(not green tea, it’s something different… and SO good), this will probably end up being a go-to spot for me. The phở broth has a touch of sweetness that’s a little unexpected, but once you notice it’s very pleasant. The grilled chicken vermicelli is SO delicious. A little smokey with lots of flavor, especially when it’s combined with the fresh cucumber and noodles. The complementary thai tea is a nice touch as well, it’s like they read my mind :) I wish it had bubbles though! Prices are reasonable and the parking convenient… such a pleasant change from downtown Silver Spring. I see this spot becoming a staple in the area, and giving the chain restaurants up the street a little competition. This place is so good, I wrote the review while sitting here eating… yeah. Don’t judge me: P ***Next time, I’ll ask them to make sure the broth is steaming hot***
