American Soil

I needed some soil (11 yards) for our hillside to plant some new plants and to back fill behind some small garden retaining walls. Good price for some really nice soil. Had it delivered and driver did a great job placing it where we wanted it. Appreciate the fast and good service.

I decided to start a medium-​sized vegetable garden and I needed some compost to amend the neglected soil I was working with. The former soil was very clay-​like and I needed some good quality organic matter to work with. I looked towards the internet to find a way to do this and realized I didn’t have many options in my city for decent pricing good quality compost. I can’t tell you how happy I am that I found American Soil’s website. I was pretty picky, needing 100% Organic compost. With my specific gardening practices I wasn’t so sure that green waste compost from the city recycling center was a good choice. So easily, I called up American Soil and explained the size of my garden. Over the phone they were able to tell me I only needed about ½ a cubic yard which cost somewhere around $ 17 for the top quality compost. They not only carry a few different types of compost but they carry soil and mulches too. I’ll probably come here when my gardening skills advance to landscaping.
My boyfriend and I drove over to their site which is located off Tierra Rejada in the field area between Simi Valley and Moorpark. Nestled between independent farm, gardens, and golf courses is American Topsoil. Once you see the sign enter through the driveway and go all the way down the road until you see palm trees and a small office.
It has been nearly a month after I’ve tilled the compost into my soil and my garden is looking fantastic! You can spend more money buying questionable soil at Lowes or Home Depot or you can try your hand at organic farming and use real soil from a reliable local business.
