Burger Express

Excellent place to eat!!! The food and service was amazing!!! I highly recommend this place to everyone! Everything was fresh and made to order. It’s the best hidden jewel.

Not so friendly the owners really need to hire someone at the front desk because they aren’t very good at customer service. Frustrated about being busy they don’t really make you feel welcome no matter how good the food is the way they make you feel makes me not want to eat there. I wouldn’t go back here there are so many other Mexican restaurants that do make you feel welcome.

I gave Burger Express another chance to try out their breakfast burrito and I was not disappointed. The breakfast burrito was pretty traditional with the eggs, sausage, hash browns and cheese wrapped in a nice soft flour tortilla. It all came together and did taste pretty good. I think I will return for a future breakfast burrito.

I’ve heard of this place often and decided to try it out. I have to say, if you are expecting something fancy, go somewhere else. The staff is friendly and the food is good… at least what we ordered. A little bit on the pricey side however, for the food though. I also noticed there was no children’s menu listed which was kind of a bummer.
My husband ordered steak and eggs but received carne asada with eggs. Not the same thing at all. That is very misleading for the customer. He enjoyed it but we would have like to know this when we ordered.
I ordered Menudo which although the flavor of the soup was good, really did not have much content. I honestly felt like I was on a fishing expedition trying to find the meat and hominy. Pretty disappointed because I heard this was the place to for my Menudo craving.
The place felt dirty with flies buzzing around so I could understand the high volume of to go orders while we were there. The food was decent but for the money we spent, I think we’ll be going elsewhere for a $ 50 meal.

This place is the best for a early dinner. The three of us are working our way thru the menu. The service is always great. They always ask if you want chips and salsa and are not cheap about serving seconds or even thirds. Prices are very reasonable. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your requests.

Always amazing food love everything here. Get the Mexican food it is way better than the burgers, but both are great

Owners are nice and always love the food from the burgers to tortas love them. Kinda hard to find tho. Busy with high school kids during the week. Get here before 2:00 and you won’t find the high school crowd. Weekends air in and out.

Haven’t been here in a while. The service here is awesome. The food came fast and hot. I ordered the express burger. Came with pastrami on it and was quiet amazing. I will definitely be coming back here for the Mexican food next time.

Great food and great service. It’s family owned and it shows by their level of attention and service. They will remember your order after you go a few times. Don’t be fooled by the name, they serve a lot more than burgers. Their food is authentic and very tasty. Once you are there make sure you try the orchata.

Food was good but i kinda had a weird experience with the owner.
I ordered the bacon and avocado burger. Half way through my burger I noticed there was no bacon or avocado. I brought it up to the waitress walking by and she apologized and asked me if I’d like the bacon and avocado or my $ 2.00 back. I went with the $ 2(which made me feel kinda cheap asking for 2 dollars). She returned to say the owner said I can only have $ 1 back because he saw the bacon when he brought it out. There was no bacon. Not a big deal, just weird to be called a liar over a dollar after they admittedly messed up my order. Oh well, guess he needed that dollar more than me.

this place is really good me and my boyfriend eat here at least twice a week great selection of american and mexican meals great place to go to when you dont know what your hungry for you’ll leave happy regardless of what you order everything is really good great food and great service !

Thought to give them one more try, but was a really bad idea! No matter how much owners try to kiss your ass while you are there, food sucks! Got sick 2 times after eating here!

The menu here has a ton of selections to choose from. I’ve tried a carne asada burrito and wasn’t too impressed with the quality of meat, nor the sauce. This time, I opted for a California chicken salad with cilantro dressing. The salad was really good and the cilantro dressing, an excellent mix. The chicken however, seemed to be fried as opposed to grilled, as it was really greasy and looked like it had been sitting for a while. An hour later, and my stomach hurts. :(

The carne asada here is incredible. On fries, in a burrito, fajitas — all excellent. Service is great, owner is super friendly, and the staff is as well. Love how they make their Horchata as well.

I’ve been going to this place since 2003 – 2004. It used to be the place I would brag to friends and co-​workers about, I had introduced and converted many to Burger Express years ago. Sad to say, In the most recent year (s) I have noticed nothing but a steep decline of quality and service (and many of those old friends and co-​workers now agree).
I decided I was done with this place after watching the girl take the customers money (including mine) and then touching the food (bagging fries and wrapping burgers) without washing her dirty hands! I think there are laws against this! I thought it was disgusting. I suspect she also uses the restroom without washing her hands. On one occasion, I used the restroom right after her and I’ll never forget how dry the sink was! How sick!
I order the same thing every time and I am always charged a different price (even by the same person) Sometimes it’s $ 5 even, Or $ 6.90, sometime it’s $ 7.75 for the same exact thing. I could not help but question this several times. They always seem so confused and random.
The burger is always cold and poorly cooked. I remember 5 years ago it was amazing and always cooked great. Nowadays they have really taken a step backwards! There is NO flavor to their low quality Smart N Final beef patties. The last dozen or so I’ve eaten just taste like water. No seasoning, no flavor. Just bare minimum quality.
The only reason I continued going was for the sake of convenience.
I used to eat here once a week. Service was so bad and the place was so dirty I decided to take a break. I decided to try it again last month and I could not be more disappointed then ever. (ie– seeing the girl touch the money and food)
This place is such a mess nowadays. Everything is so random and lacks any professionalism. Dio (the owners brother) needs to do some real work and stop flirting with the business women and high school girls.
Speaking of high school… do not go there around lunch time on a school day. The place is over-​ran with 15 year old cigarette smokers who just hang out there for free asking for water cups and cussing up a storm. It seems like the employees/​Manager condone this and allow them to lurk about the property.
I would give 1 star to the current climate of this place. I gave it 2 stars because I still have good memories of the old days. The fact is, those days are long gone.
I red all the reviews of others and I am astonished how many positives this place still gets. Try it for yourself and make your own decision…

I love the bean and cheese burritos at this place.
