This place has been a favorite for my family and I here is Simi. close to the house and the fish always is fresh. Would love if they would keep expanding their menu but what they have is good. Once the new movie theater opens up this place will be really busy.

My friend introduced me to this place and I am in LOVE with the sushi burrito lunch special. It’s a little pricey to get a la carte, but the lunch special comes with tempura(or a California Roll if you prefer), salad, soup and rice(for less $ than a la carte). The décor is kind of wonderfully gaudy and dark, to be like the night sky with silver stars all over it. They’ve been nice(though not particularly attentive, but not awful either) every time I’ve been in.

My favorite sushi spot!!! I’ve never had a roll here that I didn’t like, and their sushi burrito is A M A Z I N G. The service isn’t anything to write home about, but for me, the food makes up for it. Average prices for quality sushi. I wish it was in a better location, but it’s still an okay size. The only thing that’s slightly uncomfortable about it is how dark it is inside. Otherwise, this is the place to be when you’re in the mood for some good sushi.

Loved it. Thursday nite 6pm. Busy. Nice crowd. Mary Hostess with the mostest! Shelly, was great. Food:. Lobster Roll delish. Shrimp burrito(not wrapped in a tortilla) rainbow roll & crazy roll. All taste delicious, including the jalepeno bombs. Service was great. Not slow like others mentioned. The whole family enjoyed it. We will definitely be returning!!! Thank you, Todd It was nice meeting you. The Gonzalez family.

My family and I love this place. We started going there when it had opened, and it only has gotten better. The staff is awesome and will do what they can to make your dining experience great. One of the downsides(somewhat) though is that you are paying for the quality. In terms of sushi bars it is more expensive than others, but great quality sushi when I’ve gone. It also seems to take them some time to get the rolls out. Last thing, don’t get the sushi to go if you’re in a pinch. Eat there for the best quality.

Their happy hour is so good!!! My favorite is the albacore roll and it’s only 5.00!!! I couldn’t believe how big the portion was and how they made it so gourmet ! It is my new spot.

I’m a broke college student and my friends and I LOVE coming here during happy hour(3pm-6pm) for half off sushi and complimentary miso soup! The portions are really generous, the fish is good, their staff is really friendly, and their restaurant is very clean. I’ve eaten sushi at quite a few places in Simi and this is by far my favorite when it comes to both taste and price! For happy hour folks I recommend trying the Salmon Roll! Your getting so much good food for your dollar!

Everything was so fresh and expertly prepared. Service was good and the dishes were prepared quickly. It was fun to watch the Sushi Chefs prepare food and it was the perfect date night place to go with my husband.

The food was descent, nothing great. The lighting was too bright and music was top forty way too loud for dinner. Not something I expect or want from a Sushi restaurant. But the service was good.

Every single bite was heaven. We got the Red Bull roll which has jalapenos and filet mignon — OUTSTANDING! This alone will bring us back! Looks like the happy hour menu is great too! It is tough to find a good beef teriyaki that isnt fatty and greasy. This was a perfect cut and delish. We will be back, but probably during happy hour since it is more pricey for our area. The atmosphere is nice but I found it odd that they served our drinks in plastic Coke cups? That brought it down a level and really would change the feel of the atmosphere if they switched to glasses(but of course, that doesnt change that it is a great restaurant and we will be back — just an observation).

I’ve gotta update my review to 5-stars. As you can see from my check ins, I come often, but not only that, I’ve got my family hooked on both the in-house and delivery options provided. I see the same two chefs every time I go in, which is super reassuring, and my experience hasn’t faltered in all of my visits/orders. Delivery can be slower, but that is to be expected. Between the albacore roll, spicy tuna roll, and the crunch roll you have a meal that is under $ 25 during happy hour(3 – 6), and you WILL leave satisfied for 2 people(maybe even three if you order a Jalapeño bomb to go with it, less than $ 30 meal total still). In my most recent visit I went out on a limb and tried the Toro — I’m glad I did. The chef cut two absolutely beautiful pieces of toro for me that tasted stellar and fresh. The size of the fish was good too, they didn’t skimp on the nigiri(and at $ 12, they shouldn’t). I could come here and just eat albacore rolls all day, but after having different people come with us and ordering take out many times, we’ve tried just about everything. If baked is your thing, get the lobster roll. If you want to start easy, get the crunch, or try the sushi burrito for something a bit wackier. If you want fresh, get the Jenny or the Melody. Or, as always, come during happy hour, get your spicy tuna, salmon, albacore on and you won’t leave unhappy.

What’s funny is that the guy that owns this restaurant is my next door neighbor, and yet it took my Unilocal buddy Claudia to make me come here. I’ve been here a handful of times now and most of it is pretty legit. I’m not saying its revolutionary or even but its really quite tasty and probably some of the better stuff around town. The fact that its at the mall and they have a happy hour is nice. Some Sapporo to make me happy. It’s not the cheapest place, but its at the mall so I get it. If he wanted me to be a better neighbor, he’d stop making me pay :)

It’s located at the Simi Valley mall which was empty on a Friday evening. The sushi place too was empty but I did love our Sushi Chef at the bar. He was friendly and willing to make sushi anyway we wanted it. I took a friend that is just getting into sushi, so we ordered the specialty rolls to play it safe, so I’m not sure about how fresh the fish is because specialty rolls usually have a lot going on with them with the sauces. We had the Mexican roll– loved it! Really nice and spicy– Jalapeños on it, hot mayo sauces going on and spicy tuna on top and inside. It was delicious. Than we had another specialty roll that was very similar– I was hoping for albacore but we got spicy tuna again. Two specialty orders and some sake and we were both completely full. Specialty rolls will cost you $ 12 – 13 bucks. I did a search for the best Sushi places in Simi because I knew I was headed in this direction and there’s not any good choices so if I was ever in Simi and was looking to eat Sushi I’d come back to this place but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

1st time today & not the last time. I received a gift certificate for X-mas and took my friend out to lunch. This place was amazing! I read the recent reviews about prices are higher, but the quality of fish was excellent. You pay for quality! The yellow tail was amazing, great portions & melted in your mouth. I had the hand rolls & sushi. The staff was friendly & prompt to our needs. Most important I found«Ben» For you simi locals, Ben worked as a sushi chef at the Oaks Sushi & Ken of Japan. He is the most friendliest guy out there. If your in a bad mood, he is one of those people that cheers you up. The manager even stop and answered all our questions about fish quality & how they order. Open book. He said Friday nights are packed, but do the math people. Its going to take some time to get your food when there are 60 people &2 to 4 people are making your food. Thank you guys I will be back soon.
