So I had a wedding to attend on Saturday, I am fully capable of doing my makeup but I choose to get it done for certain events. simply because I want a different look than what I am capable of doing. Let me first off start by saying my appointment was at 11, the wedding was at 1. When I first arrived I got there 10:50−55 and they started by telling me «wow you are super early. okay you are going to have to wait a little». It wasn’t until 11:20 that she finally started. Even then she was not attending to me, she would do maybe 1 minutes worth of work and go help other customers. Only two employees were working at the time. and on top of that one of them went on break. I made an appointment a week in advance. I should have been the top priority. On top of that I was told the woman that was getting her makeup done before me was a walk in, that didn’t have an appointment. and I wasn’t seen until11:20 because of her… HOWDOESTHATMAKESENSE? My makeup wasn’t finished until 12:30… I hated it so much it brought me to tears, It was so so terrible $ 75 dollars later, I could have done it 10x’s better and actually ended up redoing it to fix it. Needless to say I will NEVER let Jazzy do my makeup again or be attending the Simi Valley Mac store AGAIN!!!

My experience at this Mac location exceeded my expectations. Not only was the manager that helped us friendly, she took the time to find the right foundation for my skin type and needs. I am so happy with my purchase thanks to this lovely lady.

I love buying my makeup at Macy’s and usually buy my stuff at the impulse department. This was my first time buying a mac product and I definitely needed some recommendations on what to get. First thing I noticed was that the department had no customers, and the employees kept chatting while I was looking for some foundation. It took them a long time to even notice I needed help. It’s really not professional to be chatting to one another when a customer comes by and has to wait for your conversation to be over. It’s really rude actually, I love their foundation though and would buy again but at another location. I really expected better service from MAC. The lady in the woman’s department next door is really nice though, she was asian like me haha.

I love this Mac counter. The girls are ALL super nice and helpful, even if they have a crowd they need to help! Most of all, Candy is amazing. She always looks so beautiful, her makeup is perfectly done. She has helped my mom and I countless times, and always is delightful, knowledgeable and helpful. I always look forward to going to Mac for all the new collections– and Candy makes it just that much better! I’m glad to have an awesome Mac nearby with wonderful associates that make you really enjoy the experience. Love love love! 5 stars all the way!

Went in knowing what I was going to purchase there were two girls working, the one that helped me was EXtremely RUDE!.. I told her what I wanted she looked at me and said«give me a minute”(went to put something away) got my product and didn’t even tell me. I asked her«is that mine?» She said YES. I paid for it and when she gave it to me she didn’t say thank you or anything. It was ALLBAD. If u ask me I’d say she hates her job. It’s the second time I go there and she gives me a bad attitude. I like MAC but the customer service I received in the Simi Valley Macys was awful… Wish I has her name.

I love this Mac. The employees are always super helpful in finding me whatever it is I’m looking for, and they have done a fantastic job helping to match me for a few different things.

Went there on Friday, didn’t care for them before, so decided to buy at a different location. Bought Mac cosmetics at mall on Topanga Cyn. Accidentally bought a lipstick color I already had, so I went back to the Simi Valley location on Saturday; inside Macy’s to exchange it. The woman wouldn’t let me do anything without breathing down my neck. Felt like I was in a prison being monitored by the warden. She even stared at me while I tried on colors; that was difficult. Mind you there is music blaring and people shouting around me. Someone was also being trained. The woman would follow me back and for to the cosmetics as I looked for colors. I even told her she could help someone else who was waiting if she wanted as I couldn’t get rid of her. The last straw was when I got a whiff of her putrid breath; I had to go. I couln’t handle so much stimulation and then the breath, it made my eyes water and my nose hairs to fall out; no joke. I have never smelled anything that bad that was alive. Won’t go back to that counter again. Every time I use my lipsticks I smell her breath or the concealers I bought remind me of the experience. I need hypnosis now to erase experience from my mind.

I love visiting MAC counter at Macy’s in Simi Town Center. I’m not a mall shopper and because of the lack of time I’m mainly shopping online. But Melina, the manager and her young but professional and knowledgeable team inspire me to return to this store time and time again. Moreover, the MAC events are always a fun way to learn something new and get a personalized makeup advice. I highly recommend to visit this MAC counter. They are right in front of the Macy’s store, and have the advantage of natural light, which is an additional plus when choosing the color for the perfect shade of your new lipstick or foundation.

UPDATE: I decided to try MAC again. A lot of the mineral makeup that I was using just wasnt making my face look the way I wanted/needed it too. I decided to take a deep breath and come back to try out a new powder full coverage foundation: The MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus. They have new girls working(thank god) who were very nice & helpful in matching me. I have a rather bizarre skintone that is hard to match, and the girl who was helping me even called for backup & second opinions. It matched my perfectly & I am in love with my new foundation! The customer service has definitely improved & they were very helpful, so I decided to update this to let everyone know! PREVIOUS: Ok service … Girl who helped me just wanted to get me out of there, she dabbed some foundation on one cheek and sent me on my way. I felt so rushed. What do you know, i got home and it was the wrong color, even though she swore it was my own. I had asked her for a moisturizer and primer, she gave me a pore minimizer treatment and oil moisturizer that DRIEDOUTMYSKIN!!! I dropped $ 120 and expected great quality. Ended up returning everything … If you’re going to buy MAC for the first time, I suggest going to the OAKS mall, Topanga, or Northridge. They are MUCHMORE helpful and understanding. I would suggest going here only to pick up refills when you already know your shades, or what you’re going to get. Been to so much better MAC counters. Disappointed.
