I cannot truthfully rate this one right now. But since you have to tag a star, I tagged one star. I’m afraid to eat there after the E coli scare. About a year ago I tried the one in L.A. near Farmers Market and it was ok. My husband frequents that particular Chipotle and enjoys it but hasn’t eaten there in a long long time. Bottom line, I’d like to try Chipotle again, especially with my free coupons, but I’m scared too! Lol

Great customer service. Delicious Steak Burrito. Two important things I look for when going out to eat. Why«Great» customer service, the person making the burrito cared so much that about the food that when it came time to roll the burrito up a small tear developed on the tortilla. Instead of just continuing to roll and wrap it up, she offered to «Re-Roll» the burrito. She didn’t have to do that but to me it showed she cared about her customer and that is «Great» to me. Enjoy !

Despite the fact that 100+ people got sick here, I still have faith in this place, especially in the post-disease aftermath. But this is why we SHOULD start dining here again: 1) they’ve been spanked hard, and now their awareness regarding sanitation and health is 1,000% heightened; 2) lines are much shorter; and 3) they’re less likely to leave food lying around due to #1 above. Tip: When you walk in, instead of looking at how long the line is, which is what most of us do, look at the people eating. Are they looking ill or queasy? Is there a line by the restroom doors? If not, hop in line and get your burrito.

I come here on a regular basis and I always get the chicken bowl. The reason for only 3 stars is as follows: the food itself gets 5 stars and the service gets 1 star. The portions are often inconsistent and I end up asking for more when I have to. They also need to do a better job of keeping the food warm. There are times when I get to my table and the food is cold. I still like the food so I am still a customer, but these issues are annoying and management needs to deal with them.

Chipotle is becoming another horror story like a Jack’n a Box hamburger. I hadn’t been since the late 90’s. After all those years, I choose to go back on the very day they were cleaning the restaurant from an e-chola bacteria that effected almost 250 people. Wow! We hadn’t heard the news but the restaurant was closed due to inferior cleaning practices or something more sinister. A manager quickly came outside gave us free entrée coupons for later and thanked us for coming. He probably needs a long vacation now. I like the food, the bowl combinations can be very tasty, I ordered extra meat and skipped the beans and rice. Chipotle could afford to give chips and offer a salsa bar. That would make it an actual Mexican type restaurant. But now that the feds are looking into Chipotle’s practices, I am sure we are going to see changes. I’d like a quieter softer dining area please and fresh safe food. At this point, Free Range Pork is the last of my concerns. LOL

Generally, we’ve enjoyed Chipotle very much. However, this particular Chipotle(and, it seems, an increasing number of other ones) was the source of a severe outbreak of norovirus. My wife was one of 100+ people affected by the outbreak. While she didn’t end up going to the emergency room like some did, it was still quite the terrible experience. We’ll probably never eat here again, at least not until years into the future or if we can see some signs that Chipotle has either replaced management here AND brought it’s food handling standards up to the sanitary levels. One star, but really it should be 0. I highly recommend not eating at this Chipotle in particular.

Best Chipotle location I’ve been too. Always the same and that’s a good thing. Steak is usually too chewy. Chicken is always good. The chips are good and have an original taste, not the same old plain chips.

Chipotle’s steak is so tough it’s like eating rubber. If your gonna charge over $ 10 bucks for a burrito and a drink at least throw in a few chips and some salsa. Baja Fresh is a better choice.

I used to love this place until I found out about all of the health violations and issues they have had recently. I decided to risk it and try it one more time, big mistake! I got a burrito with the shredded beef salsa cheese ect. I got it to-go and when I got home and started eating it after a few bites I felt something really hard when I took a bite and it turned out there was like a piece of wood or something in it. This place sucks! I will not be returning to this location.

I was going to give it originally 5 stars, which is exceptional in my book, but there is one downside I cannot ignore and will discuss later in the review. I went to Chipotle’s website and I found out that you can build your own meal online and it creates a nutritional facts calculator real time! I weigh my food, count my calories and watch my macros so having the flexibility to build my meal in advance to meet those requirements was an absolutely amazing feature! This way you are 100% in charge of your nutrition and can eat as good, or as bad, as you wish. Great idea Chipotle! You just earned yourself a fan. Aside from that, the they have a «to the point» selection of items, but definitely enough to taste good and mix things up. Like the In N Out of Mexican food. To the point and delicious. This location was spotless. Tables are cleaned within minutes after a patron leaves. Nothing better than eating at a clean place. Nice location near Lowes so you can do your home improvement shopping and stop by aferwards for a healthy meal. Why 4 stars instead of 5? There seems to be more frequent E. Coli poisoning scares. I frequently come to Chipotle Restaurants and this makes me very nervous. There should be some sort of quality control in their supply chain management system.

I don’t typically review restaurants and I’m sad that I’m finally doing it when I can only give a one star. I ate at this location on the Tuesday prior to their closing due to contamination, August 18, and ended up in the hospital. My boyfriend and I walked in, late afternoon, I proceeded to order first. I ask for a sofritas bowl and white rice. A new batch of rice had just been prepared and the left over rice from the old batch was scooped on top.(Rice, by the way, when not kept at proper temperatures is a bacterial breeding ground. I only learned this information after the fact.) She scoops the rice into the bowl and then takes my boyfriend’s order, a veggie bowl, white rice. They add the toppings as requested and we sit down to eat. Wednesday comes and goes. Thursday, at 2am, I wake up with I think is severe indigestion. I vomited and laid back down in bed, believing whatever had been irritating my stomach and esophagus had been purged. Within thirty minutes I was vomiting again and developed diarrhea. I developed horrible cramping in my lower abdomen and waves of pain in my upper abdomen, near my diaphragm. Between 2am and 10am I was vomiting and having diarrhea so badly I was only purging a foamy substance. My boyfriend by this time had also started to feel ill, not quite as bad as me, however. I asked him to take me to the hospital, but not before he started to throw up and I was unsure if he could actually take me. I arrived at the hospital in Thousand Oaks, was promptly scene, blood tests taken, IV of fluids administered, anti-nausea shot given and pain medication. I eventually was allowed to go home where we spent the rest of the day in bed, unable to do anything else. Sadly, I did actually enjoy Chipotles and now I’m scared to ever go back. This particular location wasn’t that great to begin with; the portions were ridiculously small and staff often inattentive, not even able to answer questions. I guess I shouldn’t expect much from anywhere in Simi Valley.

These people are healers, every time I have a hangover I go here, I get a bowl, and life just gets better from there. How do they do it?! But seriously, I have been here when the line is out the door and it never really takes that long for me. I have never received food that was undercooked or anything like that, everything seems clean and they are quick to get me in and out of there.

Line was taking forever. Get to the first guy, he’s all over the place … Get to second guy was fast, but was like talking to a wall. Get to the third guy, he’s was tense. Get to the 4th girl, I find out she’s totally all over the third guy… She straight up threw the quesadilla to him in a rude way. Don’t think I’ll come here anymore. Ps My favorite chips were extremely stale or undercooked.

First of all, they ran out of chips… Like really? You’re a Mexican restaurant. You have to have plenty of chips on hand at all times. They weren’t willing to make anymore for me! Super lame. The bowls were so wimpy. They totally skimped on the rice and beans. So disappointing. I knew toppers would have been a better choice…

I love Chipotle. But these guys in Simi are the stingiest I’ve come across. I don’t eat rice so I ask for vegetables. So, I have: a few chunks of chicken, an equally small amount of veggies, a tiny spoonful of black beans and — because it all looks so lame — I ask for guacamole. I won’t be back.

I usually get chipotle and i dont have complains… however the last 2 times ive ordered online and 1 time they got the order wrong and the 2nd time the burrito bowl was only 2⁄3 full … bad quality control

This place is so clean on the inside and out that you actually feel comfortable eating at this establishment. My favorite burrito is a protein style burrito which I customize myself and it includes one full portion of steak, one full portion of chicken and one full portion of Carnitas with nothing else. The chips and guacamole are also very good.

I have to give this location a 3-star«average» rating because: 1. The woman in charge of putting the DELICIOUS chicken in my brown rice bowl gave me a very small serving of chicken. Even the salsa serving guy in the assembly line agreed with my observation of the chicken portions. He promptly provided me with an addition serving of chicken. 2. The«Do you want lettuce?» person received my request for lettuce… then proceeded to give me the most minimal amount of lettuce before quickly sealing my To Go container WITHOUT asking me if that was enough lettuce. I just walked out with my food without complaining because I did not feel like going through the hassle of having them re-open my To Go container to give me more lettuce.

This place is good. Great and friendly service and they are fast. The Chicken bowl is fresh and tasty and only $ 7. Try this place you won’t regret it! The Burrito’s and taco’s are good too! Fresh, fast and healthy!!!

We stop by here when were are in need of a quick yet fairly nutritious meal. I like that there are many options such as burritos, tacos, quesadillas, or a bowl. It is quick and not too expensive. The food here is pretty tasty. I like the tortilla chips that have a hint of lime on them. I also like that there are several different options of rice, beans, meat, and toppings to choose from. The employees are nice and move you through the line pretty quickly. They are helpful when you have a question and don’t make you feel stupid for asking. They are good about keeping the food fresh and stocked. This location is fairly clean. Sometimes the tables need a little attention as well as the drink area, but usually everything is kept nice. The parking lot gets crowded during peak hours.
