Subway

On the first day I went at around 12.30 on a weekday and it was packed with queues out the door. So I came back another day at 11.30 and walked straight in. Great sandwiches, had their signature pork sandwich which was outstanding and, at $ 10 not outrageous. I would strongly recommend — more of a sandwich treat than everyday I suspect.

I have been to this subway many times and usually the staff is friendly and the food is pretty fresh. Today I walked in and was greeted with a friendly welcome by the girl behind the counter. The line was a little long but not too bad, it took maybe 5 minutes for it to be my turn to order. The guy behind the counter blandly asked what bread I wanted and I answered very cheerfully, then without even pausing he asks meat and cheese so I answer both. Then he blandly asks what else I want and I tell him. I always get lettuce on my sandwich but the lettuce was a brownish yellow and very wilted. It looked like it was left in the sun for a few hours. When I asked him if they had any fresher lettuce he said «no, I only have what they give me» and then asked if I wanted any, I quickly said no because of how bad it looked and said that’s all I want. Next time I go to a subway I will look to see if the food is fresh before I order!!!

I love this Subway because it’s right next to Vons and Rite Aid where I always shop. And the sandwich is just so fresh! The only thing about this place is you need to try to avoid the lunch hour from 12−1pm, where the line is usually long!
Last Sat I went in for a sandwich after I did all my grocery shopping, and inevitably it’s around their busy hour. And the line was long. But there was this senior lady I think her name is Jeannie or something. I mean she must be a very nice lady but she was so slow! And on top of that she couldn’t really hear unless customers repeat themselves 2 – 3 times! And it’s just not good to have a slow employee working especially during the rush hour on a Saturday!
Other that this issue, I love this place and the food and I highly recommend it. Just try to avoid the rush hour!

After having been to all of the Subway’s in Simi Valley, this location is BY FAR the best Subway I have been to for its customer service. Every time I have gone in there (and that is pretty often as I live so close to this location and can never get tired of Subway), I am so happy with the service I get. In particular, there are two blonde sisters that both work in there, and I must say that they are always so professional, friendly, patient, and hard-​working! Not only are they always so helpful, but even when there is downtime and aren’t any customers in the store, they are restocking the chip rack or filling the soda machines up with more ice. (I pay attention to this kind of stuff when I am dining-​in).
They truly are hard-​workers, and always keep the store very clean. Their manager is very lucky to have them as employees! Please– next time you are on the East end of Simi, (or nearish) and want Subway, I highly recommend this location! This Subway sets itself apart from all of the other locations in Simi!
