I used to like this place until they said something about the amount of jalepenos I was taking… For the four burrito I bought! Hello?! I just spend $ 40 in burritos and I can get a cup of freaking jalepenos?

Today 4−11−16 I was walking to go get lunch and noticed a nasty ugly dirty van with the sliding door open and saw packages of meat on the floor of the van. No refrigeration, looked very unsanitary. I called spoke to the manager to see if they were getting a meat delivery and he said yes they were and I asked from a «dirty nasty brown van?» And he said«yes» and I told him what I had seen and he said he would«look into it». So glad I saw this before I even stepped foot in the restaurant. Be careful!!!

Until I can find a better place for Mexican food in Simi this place gets my 5 star rating.. Everything we’ve tried there from breakfast to dinner has been really, really good and the prices are very reasonable. Shredded beef sopes, taco salad, flautas, machaca, huevos rancheros, burritos, etc, all excellent. Even the chips and salsa is great. Place is a little small and they don’t take Amex but give it a try and you’ll be back.

This is by far my favorite place to grab some pretty authentic Mexican food. From the toasted flavor in the salsa to their beans, and let’s face it not all restaurants do the beans right… I have not been disappointed and I have been here about 5 times now since I have moved to the area. Prices are great and you won’t be disappointed with the servings either.

This is our go-to local spot for good Mexican food. Some of our favorites include: shredded beef tacos, carne asada burrito, chile relleno, taquitos, cheese quesadilla, chips&salsa. Very reasonable priced and friendly staff. Beer on tap is always served iced cold.

Great food at reasonable prices. Skip the chain restaurants, and eat here. Had the Chile Verde burrito and my husband had the quesadila, both were delicious. Also recommend the guacamole to start :)

I love this place. Me and my boyfriend go here all the time to the point where they remember our order and recognize my voice on the phone. The breakfast burritos, regular burritos, taquitos, flautas, tortas, sopes, tacos, shrimp cocktails, and quesadillas are all amazing. The horchata, jamaica, and tamarindo are good. The only meal I wasn’t too crazy about was the chile rellenos, but other than that it is a far better Mexican restaurant than all others in Simi. …by the way, we are both Mexican and know what good Mexican food is. :)

My friend brought me here and after sampling the meats, we both got the three taco plates. Delicious. Would come back.

Have eaten here 4 or 5 times now and it is one of my favorite places to get Mexican food. The asada and al pastor is excellent. The prices are very reasonable, about 5.50 for a super burrito. Good sized portions and good friendly service as well.

I am of Mexican decent, therefore I know good Mexican food and this place has earned 2 stars in its quality and flavor. I got tacos de asada and they were pretty decent. The only think I did NOT like was the un sanitation of the restaurant(eating area). The tables were dirty and my moms utensils were dirty and stained. There’s better Mexican restaurants out there. Therefore I give it 1 star. Wouldn’t recommend.

I want to start off by saying I am not a big fan of mexican food. The reason being. I have yet to find a place that does this cuisine justice. The menu is large and consists mainly of the same 6 – 7 staples(meat, rice, beans, tortilla, cheese, salsa… etc). I wouldn’t mind these basic ingredients if they were actually GOOD! Today I kept it simple, tacos of asada and pastor with rice. The chips were stale which is no wonder why they were unlimited. The salsa was about the most decent thing because it had a nice kick. Then came my plate of tacos. Let me rephrase that, then came my plate of what LOOKED like tacos. I took the first bite and it was dry! I wanted tacos not JERKY! The rice was also dry with NO flavor. The final straw was the the fact that they had lemons instead of limes. I’m sorry but no limes in a mexican food joint is like going to the movies and not getting popcorn. So this is just another place that’s a let down. I still hold on to hope that there is a mexican place out there that is waiting to knock my socks off.

Always tastes fresh and flavorful. Good service. Great value. Can’t go wrong. I’ve tried nearly half their menu. For dessert, they have a great, curdy flan. Seems to be made with lots of condensed milk. Mmmm. Typical casual taqueria. Large modern TV playing soaps or soccer. Semi-weekly lunch spot for me.

Came here for lunch with a buddy. I looked up at the big menu picture-board, and inspected their items. Their Super Nachos sounded good, and meal-worthy, so I went with that. My buddy got his deep fried whole fish. After we ordered and found a table to sit down at. My buddy got up and went off to grab a basket of tortilla chips. Their chips are a ‘serve-yourself’ type deal. He came back and I tried a chip. Their chips are quite tasty. Very flavorful and good. Not sure what they do or how they do it, but I was very impressed with their chips. Suddenly ordering Nachos as a meal sounded even better and I got excited about my meal-to-come. Our orders were called, and my buddy got up to get it while I ate more chips. I looked at our plates. My nacho plate was filled with the chips, and guacamole and chicken and sour cream and other nacho-staples. My buddy’s fried fish looked like a dead fried fish. As my buddy began to tear apart the fish with his bare hands like some hungry predator, I started working on the easily accessible outside ring of chips. They were good. Eventually I had to use a fork for the more difficult and buried chips. They were good. As I looked again over at my buddy’s plate, I was suddenly reminded of the old Tom and Jerry cartoons. Those scenes where Tom puts a whole fish down his throat, and then pulls out the perfectly clean, bare-bones fish skeleton. My buddy said his fish was good, but a bit over-fried. The whole meal was tasty enough, and not very expensive. Which is always a good combination my book.

The food is average, the service was not great. The saving grace is the prices are decent for what you get. I have been here several times out of convienence and everything I have tried was OK, but not great.
