Hands down best sandwich place in Simi!!! The southwest chicken sandwich, WOW, just WOW. Try this place, you won’t regret it.

Notice the staff an management has changed? They shouldn’t have changed management. The customer service has gone down. I’m sure the quality of the food is next.

This place is great. One of my favorite things about Urbane Café is that each sandwich tastes completely different then the next. my favorites are the southwestern and club. Give it a shot. I am sure you’ll become a regular.

This was one of our favorite lunch stops for several months. The quality has gone down quickly. The last 3 times my sandwich was cold and way oversauced. As a business owner, I hate writing bad reviews… but management needs to know QC is slipping big time. Off our lunch stop list for now.

This is not your typical sandwich place. Each sandwich has different dressings and all kinds of marinated meats. My favorite is the Santa Soosana with extra turkey meat added and the dodger blue.

This place is DELICIOUS! Sandwiches are fresh and warm, and the bread they use is amazing! The staff is over the top friendly and they familiarize themselves with your name and order so it makes you happy to walk in and be recognized by name. The Turkey Cranberry Brie Sandwich is soooo good… Highly recommend! Additionally the Manager is hands on daily which I find rare nowadays, but he takes great pride in his restaurant. Good location and great for take out or just chilling there

The best sandwich I have ever had. The sauce was amazing and the side salad was delicious. I can’t wait to go back. I want to try all of the sandwiches. This Is such an unassuming place but it’s great! Oh and the cashier was friendly and knowledgeable.

This place is a great addition to Simi Valley. They have a great selection of yummy sandwiches and salads and soups. It’s also a plus that they call you by your name when your order is ready

Sandwiches were 5 stars!!! Service was more like a 3, didn’t feel welcomed, no smiles, & I had to give my order 3 times to the cashier(and there wasn’t even a line so really no reason for distraction, I actually believe there was a language barrier so if you speak Spanish I recommend that here). The place was very clean and the sub-par service won’t keep me from coming back for more delicious(albeit pricey) sandwiches!

Urbane Café has been on my list of restaurants to try, but until last night, we hadn’t gotten around to it. So when the Hubster suggested going to dinner before a cheapo movie in Simi, I suggested trying the Urbane Café right near the Target in West Simi. As I have mentioned before, we like healthy and inexpensive meals out. The restaurant was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. Staff was friendly and allowed us to look at the menu, not pressuring us to order right away, I ordered one of the specials, the«Fallin’ for U chick — Salad» .Per the description, it contained pomegranate seeds, pumpkin seeds, dried cranberries, seasonal slaw(heirloom carrots, julienned apples and beets), feta cheese and roasted rosemary chicken on a bed of black kale and red leaf lettuce with pumpkin spice buttermilk dressing. I’m usually not a kale lover, but it was chopped up and didn’t have that crunchiness that I don’t like. The combination of juicy chicken, fresh veggies and fruit topped with the pumpkin spice dressing — OMG! It comes with a piece of their freshly baked focaccia bread, which is heavenly! The husband, who is an «eat to live» kinda guy, did enjoy his Santa Maria BBQ Chicken Salad with Chipotle Ranch dressing. Although this is one of those«place your order and pay at the counter and we’ll let you know when it’s ready to pick up» kind of places, the young lady who took our order came over to check on us — «How is your meal? Would you like some more salad dressing?» «Yes, thank you!!» When we left, all the employees wished us a good evening, And I, the«live to eat» member of this marriage, was already planning to order the Grilled Portabella Mushroom sandwich on my next visit. Or maybe the Turkey Cranberry Brie? So I did have one regret about dining here. I regret we hadn’t tried this place sooner…

Not sure how it happened, but I’ve become a regular at Urbane! Their focaccia bread is made fresh and every sandwich I’ve tried(southwest chicken, tri-tip, cilantro chicken) is delicious! The side salad that comes with the sandwiches is one of my favorites, with mixed greens, mandarin oranges and feta cheese with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The soups are delicious, and are also made fresh. Urbane is a healthy choice for lunch or dinner!

Picture yourself roaming the bustling streets of a foreign city, lost and somehow right at home among the beautiful and exotic sun kissed locals. You turn the corner and wander down a long alley where you stumble upon a small, out of the way café. There you are greeted by a friendly face you’ve never met, who offers you a seat among the friends you’ll soon make. They bring you a plate of the most fragrant food you’ve ever smelled. You’ve been trying to keep to your strict diet but the scent is overwhelming and you can help but indulge. One bite and you’re gone, lost in a sea of soul food. You’ve just bitten into their tri-tip sandwich and it is the most heavenly sandwich you’ve ever had. You think to yourself ‘I wish I lived here and could at this whenever I want.’ Then you snap out of it and realize you’re sitting at the Urbane Café in Simi Valley, and you’re comforted by the fact that yes, you do live here, and yes, you can eat here whenever you want. You feel empowered. You make your own destiny! You choose Urbane Café! And when you do, Dave and his team are there to ensure you are well taken care of. Hats off to you and your team, Dave. You are the Undisputed Urban Café Captains and we salute you.

I forgot my lunch at home one day and decided I’d just go out to eat. I walked in around lunch time and was greeted by a wonderful staff. I ordered a chicken sandwich that was recommended by the cashier. It came with a side salad in which they included extra dressing upon request. The food was good. The chicken was moist and the sandwich was filling. Surprisingly it was a very nice meal. I will definitely be back!

First time here and I got the Californian sandwich no mushrooms and it was okay. They went a little overboard on the cheese. It also came with a side salad that was mixed greens and hardly any dressing on it, wasn’t real impressed with the salad. They also didn’t mention that you get a salad with your sandwich, if I knew of this I would of asked for a different kind or a different side at that. Overall the food was good, a little overpriced but you did get quite a bit for your money.

The So-Cal chicken is delicious!!! First time coming here and I absolutely love it. The mere fact that their chicken turkey and steak is all natural no added hormones makes me love it all much more. Definitely telling everyone about this place.

A few years back I visited the Agoura location and I was less than impressed with this establishment. I was in the area of this location, feeling famished and with the option of Urbane Café or The Habit(Habit isn’t a Habit). So by default it was going to be another attempt with the Urbane. The place is pretty simple by offering many sandwich, soups and salads options. When I walked in I noticed the facilities were well kept, clean and inviting. The menu features four signature vegetarian sandwiches. I decided to keep it simple, since it was a re-try and went with the«Gourmet Grilled Cheese.» The sandwich featured Cheddar, Gorgonzola & Pepper Jack Cheese, Avocado, Tomatillo Salsa. I enjoyed the overall cheese mix, soft focaccia bread and the Tomatillo Salsa brought great flavors. The Grilled Cheese also included side salad with a vinaigrette dressing. I was thoroughly happy with my meal. I felt the food was reasonably priced for what I received and not over the top pricewise like many sandwich shops. The staff was very friendly and a received very quick service. I’m glad I gave this place a second spin and I will definitely drop by the next time I’m in the area. Would do again.

I can’t believe this place exist in Simi Valley, because Simi is not known for really any good restaurants, but there’s been some restaurants popping up that are pretty good. This place does not disappoint at all. Between my wife and I, we have tried 4 different types of sandwiches: Roast Beef, Caprese, So-Cal and Club sandwich and they are all delicious. Also, their focaccia dough is made from scratch. They bake it fresh right in front of you. The sandwiches comes with a house salad containing mixed greens, mandarin oranges and feta cheese with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Yum! They also make fresh soups daily and their soups are delicious. I’ve had the vegetable medley and broccoli cheddar. The broccoli cheddar is probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The décor inside is rustic modern and they even have seating outside. It’s really a cute café and it’s healthy, delicious and affordable. They are slowly expanding and will be opening one up in Northridge and Thousands Oaks next year.

Today was my first time at Urbane Café. This location is great. Right near a pretty new Target on the West side of Simi Valley. Plenty of parking. Brand new, clean and modern space. The employees were exceptionally friendly. One stopped by twice during our lunch to make sure everything was up to par. Lunch for two was $ 22. I had the Club Sandwich. It was good. The side salad was fresh and tasty. Overall good portions and a filling lunch meal. Was leaning towards a 4 star but the employees were so nice it deserves 5.
