Not sure what happened to this place, but the delivery service has become utterly undependable. Time to find a new pizzeria.

Joe Pizza is a wonderful neighbor go to restaurant. Their pizza and burgers are great, as well as their sweet potato fries which is a must have! However, my favorite meal is the tuna salad. It is the biggest and BEST I’ve ever had! Try it; you won’t be disappointed.

This is a strange review, so beware — it’s all about the customer service. I’ve been to Joe Pizza before, always happy. I went last night with my son and after ordering beverages, a martini for me and a milkshake for him; which were delivered promptly and with a smile, my son took ill. He stepped outside the restaurant so that I could pay for the beverages and let the waitress know that we would not be dining. I asked her for the bill, she left the table very briefly, came back and said ‘you are all set, it’s on the house, I hope your son feels better’. THAT my friends is customer service and it is immeasurable. Thank you Joe Pizza… we will be back!

Went to dinner last night with my son and wife, Joe’s pizza has always been good to us, decent service, good food, reasonable prices etc. Our waitress made a mistake on the computer system in ordering our dinner and didnt realize it until we brought it up to her, Not sure if she realized what she did, but the owners were sitting at the bar and I asked them to look into it, they looked into it immediately and started to fix the problem, they apologized and gave us a gift card for next time to use. Good food and they fixed the problem fast which was a good thing. I will always go to resturants that if something is wrong and they fix it quickly with no excuses and Joe’s Pizza does that in my mind.

Took 3 phone calls to get thru… Took over an hour for delivery and got the wrong order. Make sure you you go over order with person on phone.

Eh, it is ok… nothing special worth mentioning except if you have a large party they have plenty of room in their dining room, and an outdoor patio. Came in for a quick dinner with some of our VP’s and directors after work one day. Service is good but pizza is no different than any average pizza restaurant in the area.

I’ve been to dinner there a few times and was never disappointed. However, pizza to-go is another story. A small, personal, Buffalo Chicken pizza is around 16.00 and serves one person. Good flavor but the pizza itself is mostly bread. Hardly a good value for the money.

The food is 4 to 4.5 stars but the service lowers the ratings. We order takeout/delivery about once a week and they almost always get something wrong. Most recently ordered veal piccata and was charged for veal but received chicken.

This is a frustrating review for me because we do like the food, but they can NOT and I really mean NOT get a «special order» correct. If you don’t like olives, too bad, they are going on your salad EVEN if the server says«not a problem». If you like capers, too bad, they are NOT going on your salad EVEN if the server says«not a problem». I have ordered the same salad without olives, but WITH capers MANYMANYTIMES. It is wrong about 95% of the time. When I tell the server it’s wrong, she says«Oh, I’m sorry.» Each time I tell Doug the manager. I get the same reply«Oh, I’m sorry.» I never get«How can we make it better?» The restaurant is NOT that busy. I guess if you just want a standard item on their menu, the way it is prepared, then you might be happy there. I think we’re done going. There are MANY other options in the area.

Cute spot for lunch or dinner– relaxed, comfortable environment. They offer slices and great lunch specials and are definitely generous with their portions. Perfect for dining in or they have a special section for take out. Service is good and the staff is friendly.

Okay this is just a review of the pizza because that’s all I order when we go there. This has to be my most favorite pizza ever. I have tried pizza from Stamford to Simsbury and this one is the best I have had. The difference for me here is in the sauce. It’s just spot on. The crust is perfect the cheese is fresh but the sauce is the bomb. Try it you’ll love it.

Dine-in experience was good however I’ve order take out twice and had horrible experiences. The first time they lost my order and I sat for another 30 minutes while they remade it and not even an apology! Other time I got the order home and it was wrong! I sent an email off their website hoping for at least an apology and I got nothing! Likely will not go back

Ordered the Sicillian Orange salad last night and although it was good, I was annoyed that the waitress didn’t tell me how large it was. It was enough to feed 3 people and I didn’t want or need that much food. She made a joke about it «we don’t do anything small here.» Although she did offer to bring me something else instead which I declined. Wait people — educate your customers about the food if they don’t know. Thank you.

Really, this place should be called Joe Pizza and Burgers and Sandwiches and Salads and Lots of Other Stuff, but I understand they probably don’t have that kind of a budget for a sign of that length. Yes, the pizza here is excellent, but don’t be afraid to look deeper in their menu, because there’s lots more to discover here. In my informal poll of myself, they’re just as well known for their burgers, which are freshly ground and excellent. And the Simsbury location is quite nice… nice décor inside and great service. Maybe Joe Pizza Etc.

I’ve been for lunch on a few occasions, sitting at the bar each time. Service from the bartenders has always been quite good. The restaurant has some great lunch specials that almost seem to good to be true. In the past, I’ve always gotten the side salad and slice of pizza for $ 8.95. Wash down a couple of the beers on draft, including some local brewers like Hooker and you’re in business. The«slice» of pizza is really two pieces, which comes out after you’ve finished your salad if you order the above-mentioned lunch special. The salad is full of greens and comes with a choice of salad dressing. I’ve always been partial to the garlic parmesan dressing. Definitely not fat free, but it is totally worth it. In terms of visiting, there’s ample parking behind the building and also across the street in the Bank of America lot. If you’re looking for a casual spot, this is a contender. As others have mentioned, the eggplant fries are quite good.

Celiacs BEWARE! I ordered a gluten free pizza and specified gf on the phone about 10 times. The kids who take the orders rarely listen to you, so you have to repeat yourself a lot anyway. My order was read back to me. At pick up, I paid(including the extra $ 2 charge for gluten free shell), got into the car, drive a bit to pullover to feed my husband and 2 toddlers and realized that they gave me a regular pizza. Full gluten! When I went back, instead of apologizing, they said I didn’t order a gluten free pizza. I showed 3 people my receipt, including manager Doug. When they realized they were at fault, he said, «it was still a good pizza.» No apology or free pizza. NOTHING! While I think there pizza is very good, this experience has les me to go elsewhere. Terrible customer service!

Still the best goat cheese salad EVER. I come here whenever I’m in town – at least twice yearly. Almost didn’t make it in this visit, thinking that I should branch out a bit. So glad my daughter talked me into another round of salad with the best chicken I’ve ever eaten. The chicken is grilled perfectly for a crisp exterior with a juicy, marinated interior. Don’t pass up the chicken option – it will make your meal. Friendly, comfortable service helps make Joe Pizza a must stop for me and my family.

Just a really solid, really good restaurant. Great New Haven-style pizza? Check. Eggplant Fries that are«da bomb»? Check. Ridiculous sized portions for the money? Double check. The kids specials are a terrific deal as well with a huge slice of pizza(really two slices) and either fries or salad AND a big drink for $ 6.(Hint: Get the salad and a grownup can eat it. Shh.) Good atmosphere and good(though not unbelievably great) main dishes and this is a place the entire family will enjoy. Quick service as well. Did I mention the Eggplant Fries? Mmmmm.
