I’ve lived on the East Coast for several years now, journeyed from Boston to New York to Philadelphia to DC, and have never found a cup of coffee as good as ones that I had from Coffea in Sioux Falls, SD(of all places!!!). Coffea not only offers the most delicious, full-bodied, and fruity coffee that I’ve had(they roast their coffee against the trends, and produce flavors in your coffee that leave you both satisfied and wanting more…), but it also has a great atmosphere appropriate for studying, work meetings, or just casual hangouts. Additionally, the staff is remarkable — if you become somewhat of a regular, they will notice you and strike up conversation with you. I’m not kidding when I say that my trips to see family in Sioux Falls end up revolving around trips to Coffea. Don’t take this place for granted, Sioux Falls!

Coffea was recommended by my AirBnb host who is a regular there. I am a coffee snob. I buy green coffee, roast it myself and then use an espresso maker to get the best flavor possible out of it. I also am a big fan of Cortado, a coffee drink of half steamed milk and half espresso. A picture of Cortado was placed on Unilocal by on of other reviewers, so I assumed that it was on the menu. Well, it was not, and the staff did not know what Cordado was until I explained exactly what I wanted. They called it «Black Macchiato»… OK then… It actually tasted just like Cortado, so I was rather pleased, however the staff of a coffee shop should know main coffee drinks.

Huge open space for hanging out or studying by yourself. They have a few choices of baked goods and some tasty candied pecans available to buy in the 2 – 4 $ range. The drinks are good and they are the main draw for this place. Unfortunately it’s closed on Sunday.

The Ethiopian pour-over was amazing! Light fruity notes to start with plus just the right amount of acidity and an incredibly smooth sweet finish. Thank you to the barista that knew what she was doing

Stopped in on a Saturday in the fall. Counter staff were rude when we ordered drinks as they come off the menu, didn’t ask for anything weird or non standard. Gave me the wrong sized drink then were mad and even more rude that I politely pointed out it was incorrect. Hey things happen, just wanted what I ordered. They were not that busy but the team making coffee seemed to be having major problems and were arguing. Eventually received the latte. The underlying coffee seemed good. The odd fruity tasting vanilla syrup was off putting enough that I didn’t finish it.

Fabulous coffee, great bakery items, free wifi, and a comfortable place sit and study, read, and people watch. It reminds me a little of a coffee place I loved in my old Seattle neighborhood. Genuinely enjoy this shop!

Favorite coffee shop around! Real, handcrafted lattes with homemade syrups. None of that fake stuff! Friendly baristas and good atmosphere.

A relaxed coffee shop in Sioux Falls! We stopped in here three days in a row(may be addicted to coffee…) and had three great experiences. The coffee is delicious, and you couldn’t ask for better service. When we were there, it also seemed there were more people interacting with one another than their computers, which I always love to see.

Coffea is hands down the best coffee in Sioux Falls. The reason I can say that is because I’m from Seattle, and I’m a coffee snob. Coffea is a thoughtful roaster, they let the true flavor come out of their coffee beans, unlike Starbucks who completely butchers their coffee by burning it all. I have never been let down by the exceptional customer service here also, just love this place and all they are about.

Looked like a nice place so stopped for a cup of Americano. Baristas are characterless. One of them became abrasive when I asked for a Splenda. Coffee is expensive for the quality. Don’t go there. There is a nice Starbucks close by.

Wonderful little coffee shop in Sioux Falls. I had a 12 oz French Pressed coffee on a few occasions here. I always ask the barista to recommend a blend, and they are usually spot on. The only time they steered me wrong was when I was not specific about what I was looking for(smooth medium roast, very little acidity). The décor is great, and I love the atmosphere. Definitely stop by for a cup of joe if you are in the area.

Very nice, calm atmosphere. A friend and I were able to chat and drink their coffee for about an hour and we never felt pressured to leave. Their vanilla late was delicious and came with a beautiful leaf design.

Easily the best coffee place we’ve been. It was great to find this place after moving to SF. The staff really knows coffee like few others. Only complaint is their large to-go cups are medium sized. Not bad when the only complaint is, «we want more.»

If a coffee shop has a cute girl with blue hair it must be good. Found the blue/purple girl. Must be a regular. The coffee is great as are the people both staff and customers. This is no Starbucks. Carry on.

Really authentic experience. The coffee is delicious and the atmosphere is great. I love that they buck the American trend of huge sizes… offering 8,12,16 oz. I usually stick with the brewed coffees but they have an extensive gourmet coffee menu and a decent selection of pastries.

Stopped in here after a night out to get a pick-me-up while finding breakfast. It was a cute little shop, loved the ambiance! I’d totally camp out here and work or meet a friend if I lived closer! I also found out how knowledgeable the baristas were about coffee. I was going to get a decaf espresso(for Free Espresso Friday), but the bartista said the espresso doesn’t taste as good straight up if you get decaf. So, she encouraged me to get it in a latte. So I did: Bartista’s choice. If you let the barista choose your drink, then you get a few dollars off. You can give them restrictions, though. I told them decaf with almond milk(they also have soy), and I ended up with a delicious hazelnut latte! Don’t forget about free espresso Friday! Get a free shot of espresso, can’t add milk or pour it over ice. But still, it’ll get you going!
