Comfortable shoes for older folks. Currently they started carrying nicer styles that make me think I may get a pair for work. If you want to help your mom or grandma or the man in your life with nice and comfy shoes check them out. They’ll fit you, feed you popcorn and chocolate and you’ll walk out on clouds.

I’ve resisted this place for the past few years because of the stigma associated with ‘old lady shoes’, but unfortunately, with feet that seem to get wider with every passing year, my choices are limited. After a frustrating few hours at Waxberg’s, 4-Cohen, Macy’s(no wide-widths here) and Nordstroms(pricey), I finally conceded into stopping in at SAS. My 82 year old father has worn their shoes for years and I just wouldn’t imagine that I’d find many stylish options. I was correct(in part). Most styles are definitely for the grandma types, but I found a cute and very comfy pair of mock crock loafers. At $ 119 with C and D width options, I knew I had finally found a new pair of CUTE everyday shoes THATFIT and they’re made in the US, which is a rare bonus. I’m sure I’ll be back, despite the limited selection of contemporary styles.

This is the place where middle aged folks go for comfortable shoes. Not exactly stylish but if you’re looking for comfort and don’t mind paying a premium for what SAS says are all handmade shoes, then this is your place. When we visited, there was a sweet elderly lady running the place. They do indeed have popcorn and a nice sitting area for husbands. They did not have my wife’s size in stock but shipped it to us for no cost.
