Yesterday I came in, looking for a loaf pan that I’ve been lusting after online. I walked in, and no one could be bothered to say«hello.» I paced the store, looking for this pan for at least five minutes, and STILL no one spoke to me! There were two other customers in the store, dripping in designer, and the staff was all over them. Finally a woman walks over towards me, and I say«excuse me!» trying to get her attention, and STILL didn’t acknowledge me! Unreal. I left empty handed. The staff needs a reality check: EVERY customer deserves the best service!

I went there to purchase a specific item I saw on their website. Sales person, Diana was very helpful, even went upstairs to storage to search, but was unable to locate. She called the Lincoln Park store and located the item and her co-worker offered to pick it up the next day and bring it to the Old Orchard store. It took a bit of waiting to get this all sorted out, but in the end, I really appreciated their extra effort and it saved me almost $ 50 I would have had to pay for shipping and handling.

I shop here usually just for gifts, but everytime I do I walk away impressed with the customer service and friendly staff. A true rarity these days. Besides that it’s just a nicely stocked store(If not a bit cramped) with everything from the basics to lots of neat unique items for the chefs in your life. Yes the products can be pricey, but they are well made, and even if not for yourself, make really nice gifts.

Great products, yes, but I dislike going into this store because I find the staff indifferent and at times snotty.

I come in here at least 3 times a year and it always starts the exact same way… with the sentence«I’m just going here for 1 thing»… 20 items and $ 600 later I find myself walking out saying what the hell just happened and trying to rationalize why I needed to spend 29.99 on a metal stand for jalapeños you core out and fill with cheese. Oh Williams Sonoma how I hate to love you. Me being the home chef that I am simply love this place… quality products at a huge price… but people who gripe about the cost of a wustoff chefs knife are probably the same people who have bought 12 sets of knives off late night tv in the last decade. Pay for quality in the first place and you will never need another. From my iron clad frying pan to my La creuset Dutch oven… all bought years ago here and have never had to be replaced after much use. From basic cooking tools to odd inventions you never thought u needed until you saw it to a fine selection of oils, seasonings, and books about the 10000000 things you can do with an egg… this place has it all. Love it

The staff here is so helpful and thoughtful. They took the extra time to find an obscure item for me and were so gracious to me with their time and good humor! They also noticed a certain item that I was purchasing and asked if I knew of its updated versions – I didn’t and I welcomed the suggestion! This store is always clean and neatly organized that shopping here is a real treat!

Very helpful staff! Williams-Sonoma is one of the nicer kitchen stores. They have a very helpful staff who try their hardest to serve you.
